Kinda pricey compared to other parts warehouse chain stores.
Just purchased a product and it would not fit and the lady got real rude to me and said nope. We are not returning it. I felt embarrassed. All of the employees came out to see what was going on. I just said miss...it's ok you don't need to talk like that. I don't think I'll come here again. Her name is Mandy.
went here to get some wheel grease. Ava showed me where the grease was and we noticed one can was leaking. The other can was dented at bottom but i decided to try to purchase. at the register, i discovered that the top of the can was open/leaking after i pulled the plastic push cap off to check it. The on duty store manager- she was in a grey shirt- argued with me about this being a problem. I went and got a tube of the same grease, not a can and not my preference as i don't have a grease gun and i came back to register. She was still going on about this open can of grease being a non-issue. I told her that "the customer is always right" as a way to end the conversation to which she replied "no they are not" or something similar. I asked her "what would your director think about that?". She said "he'd say the same thing". I told her "back when i worked at autozone 30 years ago, this would never happen/be said to a customer". I told her "shame on you" and left as my purchase was completed.
Manager denied a return on a faulty part in it's warranty period and told me that I was stuck with a bad part that rendered my vehicle useless during the floods. This really screwed me as I had to drive two hours through dangerous roads to get the help I needed from the mountain city location.
They had the battery charger I needed to charge my truck until I can get a new battery for it. The charger cost 60 bucks, the battery costs about $300 but I didn't have time to put the battery in the truck today, so I guess now I'll have a charger in case I need it I can use it on my boat.

We came to autozone seeking help for my son whose truck lost power. Chris Reed went out of his way to ensure that my teenage driver could be put back on the road safely. Experience good overall but learned something interesting. They no longer come out and connect the computer in your vehicle to check for codes. They will let you connect the tester and run it yourself however. Not sure if this is the policy at all Auto Zone locations or just this one.
i went here for the first time because my
windshield wiper was falling apart. i bought a new wiper and about two minutes (and $20) later the guy installed it and it was working perfectly. i now think fondly of west jefferson auto zone every time i turn my windshield wipers on.
I am a business owner. Used auto zone since opening day. I stopped in to return the wrong brake pads when female shift manager claimed they had been installed. They were wrong and if inserted in a caliper the two tabs would be scratched of course. They'd are pristine and other counter man on duty and customer said they were pristine. I said , no they have not. She said several times they had been installed and I was lieing in front of customers. She even told me to get out. Other employee apologized. I was told to travel across the county again to tell manager tomorrow. I'm sending my wife to avoid a scene if I go . I'm 66 years, lived here 30 years and a Vietnam vet. I'm an honorable man. She called me a lier and a scammer. I am greatly insulted. I'm no lier and it's not that much money.
Broke down in Jefferson and limped in to auto zone. I needed a serpentine belt. Guy had one and a young guy came out and helped me install it. I would have had to call tow truck to come and get it if it wasn’t for him. Great place to buy parts from. Very helpful.
I visit this store way more then I should. Chris, Steve and Dwayne are very knowledgeable when it comes to anything vehicle related. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience shopping for parts at this store.
The employee who changed out our battery did not do it correctly and refused to listen to me when I told him how to remove the old one. He gave me a very dirty look when I told him how to remove my battery properly, proceeded to remove unnecessary parts, and then blamed the alternator when he didn't connect the battery properly.
Love these wonderful people. I pulled in with a screw stuck in my tire and it was loosing air fast. An associate was kind enough to plug the tire for me and get me safely on my way! Thanks so much for the help.
Jonathan Bare is one of the best and friendliest parts guys I’ve ever dealt with. He goes far and beyond to find what I’m looking for. All parts stores need someone like him! I give him an A+++++++++++. He’s all about customer satisfaction. I like that!
Always a big selection of options for any job. Most items are usually in stock unless there is a huge sale on them. Staff is always helpful. They are usually busy answering questions, so you'll have to wait your turn.
I visited auto zone in West Jefferson for a battery maintenance device today. The staff was very knowledgeable about their inventory but one young man,Clive, went the extra mile and more to step in and offer his advice and even installed the device on my vehicle in the pouring rain. Since I am elderly with a bad shoulder, this would have been difficult for me to do. His generosity to go the extra mile makes living in Ashe County a blessing every day. Thank you to this fine young man.
I noticed that the store was clean and neatly stocked when I walked in. Staff was very generous, quickly coming to my aid. I intended to buy a car battery, but one of the staff members tested my battery and found out it was almost as good as new, helping me save money without me even asking to have my battery tested. Thank you for the courtesy.
Good service. They have a decent selection of parts and tools and if they do not have it, they can get it quickly.
When I needed a headlight bulb replaced, I purchased the bulb from them and they replaced it for free on my car.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and the prices are decent. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
Great service; I needed a new battery to replace my dead one. They had the right one in stock. They installed it for free. I was in and out again in 10 minutes. Price was fair, I’m happy.
