What clients say about Walmart Auto Care Center in West Jefferson (NC)
Completely incompetent workers. They failed to complete a simple balance and rotation three times in a row - each time finding a new excuse not to proceed. I personally fixed every so-called “issue” they pointed out and returned the car again, yet the job still wasn’t done. Spent over 4 hours there, and nothing was completed.
All the tire center is good for is buying tires. Will never take another vehicle there. Spent 3 days trying to get tires put on and they wouldn't because of a lug stud was messed up.
I always love to come get my car tuned up here. Normally, the staff is friendly- I was served by an older lady who treated me as if I were stupid.
I made an appointment online the night before and showed her my confirmation email while she proceeded to tell me I had made the appointment with the wrong vehicle. I showed her the email, and I told her I did everything in my power to make it correct and she acted as if I was stupid.
On her end, it was listed under a different car. She and myself do not understand as to why it was listed as different car ( it was listed as a Chevrolet Equinox) I did not list that as My car and showed her proof. It's listed as a suburu.
I'll still come here for services because the gentleman are always friendly. But I truly had not been disrespectful and there was no reason to treat me like I was a fool. I work for the public and I understand how terrible people can treat us, but I didn't give her a reason to talk to me like I was an idiot when I tried to do everything correctly for the staff ( because I don't want to make it hard on the staff. They have so much on their plates).
I'm sorry it was a different car, I truly tried and have the proof below that I listed it as the car i own, a suburu. Not An equinox.

Wonderful customer service and quick to get me in for an oil change. They were generous with their time and checked my fluids and tire pressure without me asking. Thank you!
I brought my car here after I purchased it bc I was told they checked the transmission fluid which they did not and I drove it hours. They also said they checked the windshield wiper fluid and when I went to wash my windshield and there was no windshield washer fluid, I realize that something was not right. I called Walmart and they told me to bring my car back and they would fix it so I had to drive it an hour. When I arrived at the auto center, they told me they could not put transmission fluid in it because it had some kind of sealed system and they couldn't work on it. I only drove it there because I thought that they were going to fix it. Don't bring your car here!!!!
I bought a set of tires there for less than anywhere else local. I'm very pleased with the service. The auto manager was very helpful even though they were busy the day I was there

I arrived 0700 Labor Day 2014. John and Mike the technicians and the Louise lady at the counter opening the tire & lube express for business. All the associates that I met were friendly and helpful. I went for a oil change and tire check. They answered every question that I had; they all were very professional.
Avoid this service center. I just spend 2 hours to get a tire plugged. It did only cost $10, but the time was ridiculous. The guy who worked on my truck was the only one who knew how to do his job. He kept getting called by everyone else. They had 1 qualified, 2 OK and 3 how don't work on the cars. I watch people go on so many breaks and standing around B.S.'ing. They kept waiting for the 1 guy to actually do the work.
Ashe County Walmart full of management that knows nothing about their job. I have went 3 times to Walmart about a ring. I call the warranty place they tell me the store has to cover it. Well tonight the girl called management I think her name was Georgia. She was very rood on walkie talkie. Walmart president and CEO need to think on replacing a lot of the management team that do nothing or know nothing.
