Legalized extorsion! These people kept our stollen car at $200.00 per day storage in hopes to apply a garageman's lien. Fat chance!

I got a flat tire, and called Honda Roadside assistance. Honda told me it would be a 90 minute wait. I only waited about 20 minutes and Eddie showed up. He was very professional, personable, and got my spare tire on quickly and efficiently. Thank you Eddie!!
Today I had the pleasure of meeting Eddie K He called me to let me know he was on his way and the timeframe I even joked about have to go to the bathroom and he stated “my first stop will be a five star bathroom” that made my day better. I have never met a more caring, professional, and sympathetic tow driver such as Eddie, by far the best tow driver ever he told me exactly what was wrong with my car and explained what needs to be done next. They came in 5-10 minutes while i was stuck on the cross county parkway. Managed to get my car in my house’s driveway, up hill, in a gate. Amazing service and very expert skill! Would recommend them if you’re stuck ever!
Car broke down in Yonkers NY near side of highway, but cops only used this one towing County tow company for that area, allegedly.
Attempted to call in the morning and reach out to get car out, but company seemed very reluctant to release car and slow (and irritable) to respond, which grew the daily storage fee.
They initially mailed a letter with no invoice inside, while daily the bill increased. So, not a good or cooperative experience. Business hours closing at 3pm makes it tough to get to office if we have day job.
Paid the fee, and glad the car is out.
I was driving and suddenly my car bogged out. I called this company and within 5 minutes driver Beck provided fast, flawless service and arrived fully prepared to handle my low car with the utmost care. Would highly recommend this towing company A+++

I had a terrible experience with County Towing. They towed my car and, in the process, managed to cause significant damage to the differential, which will cost me around $4,000 to repair. When I reached out to them to cover the damages, they refused to take responsibility. To make matters worse, the staff, particularly the guy with glasses and a patchy beard, was unprofessional and unhelpful. It’s clear to me that they are scammers who don’t care about customer service or the harm they cause. I strongly advise staying far away from County Towing.
Eddie was absolutely amazing, what a kind soul! I was stuck on the Mario chomp bridge. He did an excellent job at keeping me and the kids calm and getting us off the highway safely. He was very considerate. Excellent employee
it's never a good time when your car is towed by the police first thing in the morning on your way to work. reasonable storage rates here, no new scratches and nothing was stolen. no new damage to the vehicle. they did their job.
Let me start off with this.
They’re a horrible business.
I had a fender bender and had my car towed. Before you know it, been there for 3-4 days and I had to pay $500.00 for all the fees, for me to find out the repair price. (Basically paying a fee for a fee which is stupid) and they won’t tell you ANY PRICES till you go in to pay. And they won’t tell you the price for repairs if you don’t pay the fee.
So then I get there to find out. They telling me it cost $7,500 to fix the damage. So then I had to junk it because it’s clearly too much money and I have no storage to put it. So thanks a lot on helping me out get rid of my car that ya gonna make money off of. Thank you!

I will say that reading some of these reviews I was scared about what would happen to my vehicle/possessions. I can say confidently that NONE of what has been described below happened to me. Since I just picked it up a few hours ago, I will not speak to the quality of work (everything seems good but only time can tell). I will speak of my positive experience interacting with the team at County. My car was towed there Saturday evening, and the driver (John I believe) was incredibly helpful and personable. The main mechanic Steve called me before 8:30am Monday, had the issue diagnosed by mid-day and fixed the next day (had to wait for a part). Nothing had been accessed nor rummaged through that I could tell, nothing missing, etc. These guys did the job, promptly and securely.
I try to always give the benefit of the doubt, especially when reading online reviews. However this was a truly terrible experience. Had my vehicle towed from an accident. I called the next day to figure out what the estimate would be, and was quoted $1400 dollars. I said thank you, let me see if insurance will cover it, and was told it wouldn't be a problem and to let them know what I wanted to do. When I found out insurance wouldn't cover it (after the police report came in, which took several days), I decided not to fix the car because it was technically still drivable.
When I went to pick it up, they tried to charge me almost 600 dollars just for storing it while I waited to here. I never went to the shop in person and was never told over the phone that it would be a storage fee if I decided not to fix it. When I said I wanted to take it somewhere else to get a second opinion on the price, they said, let us look at it again. Remarkably the price dropped from 1400 to 750 if I agreed to pay in cash. What they do between them and the government is their business. I'm just glad to have my car back and be done with them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I really felt like they were trying to scam me!
WORST auto shop I've ever seen. Had a car here through Geico (that office is also a joke and the two obviously pay each other) and the work was horrible. First repairs were about a week later than promised. Trunk was misaligned, paint was orange peeled and overall work was horrible. Complained to Geico, they asked me to leave it and have it redone. Second time no better. The staff at County seemed confused that the car should be properly fixed and painted. I called Geico corp. and had the car taken to another shop in Westchester that they recommended. Work was excellent and done on time. Car had no issues after the repair.
Took care of me from beginning to finish after my accident from the tow to the repairs. The company went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was brand new when they gave it back.
Absolutely horrible service these types of businesses should be illegal as they are complete criminals. If i could give them zero stars i would. $400.00 for less than a 2 mile tow. I am disabled and, the car was not supposed to be towed. I was paying the parking ticket while they were about to tow it. Instead of being decent human beings they robbed me of money that i desperately needed for medical expenses and, living cost. With no shame also. They were less than polite or professional.
My son was in a collison yesterday. I was reading the reviews today prior to going to County to see the car and make the necessary arrangements. I was pretty much expecting a horrible experience given the negative reviews. I was treated with absolute respect and I was not charged an astronomical amount for a tow. Their rates are close to other tow companies in the area. With that being said I recommend this company to others. May you have the same amazing experience I had today.
All the negative reviews are dead accurate. Avoid this place at all costs. Was recently in a bad accident with my daughter, car flipped. Police called this terrible business who towed my car two blocks. My daughter who was traumatized from the accident only worried that she couldn't find her new iphone and in an effort to calm her we tracked the phone to county towing. While we both lay in the hospital my wife called and asked if she could stop by and just get the phone to calm our child and was rudely told NO. Pay $553 or you can't get anything. This is within hours of the accident same day. Same story that's been told several times. Excessive charges for tow, turning car over, clean up and same day was $553 (WHAT). Nice guys??? When we complained to the insurance company who negotiated the price they demanded cash only plus charged us tax on the full amount, in cash, and claimed they needed hours to have someone look for the phone and would not let us go to the car. went back a day later and now and only after we're searching the car for the phone this tow guy takes it from his vehicle and it's totally smashed which we fully believe did not happen in the crash as all other devices not a scratch. Sorry guys guess you got mad with the complaint and couldn't keep the iphone which if in the car should not have been removed in the first place or placed in the office. Hope they'll see soon that nice is better and treating people this way will not work all the time. Consequences are always important to keep things fair. Stay away at all costs.
My Experience was frustrating. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. First time they called me to say the car was ready i got there and it was not. They replaced one of the plastic covers on the outside bottom of the passenger side door but did not fix the other issue i brought it in for. Then a few days later i called i inquired about the status and they called me back to tell me it will be ready the next day. The next day now my car looks ok, But there enterprise rental agent who is in the same location is now trying to charge me for damages on a rental i did not cause. My biggest mistake was not taking picture of the entire car. They gave me the rental outside in the rain. Also i noticed the right passenger side looked dented but did not think anything of it . I am hoping Visa can cover what there trying to charge me through there rewards program. BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOK'S.
I had work done on my truck at this place. The paint was not an exact match but you could only notice the minor difference when the truck was in direct sun light. There was also a weird smell coming from the engine after they supposedly fixed it. In addition, their customer service skills leave a lot to be desired for. I only went there cause geico recommended them And the car rental place was next door. Try a different place, You probably will end up with problems after the work is done at this place.
