For a guy who ditched his tools after years of leasing cars, this Saturday operating shop was a gift from God when I needed brake pads installed on my ever complex Audi RSQ8. I brought the pads and sensors to them and they did a clean quick job in only a few hours at a fair price. Shop is clean and well run staff is friendly and professional I wasnt leaving this car with just anyone. Thanks my friends Ill be back again. Excellent job 👍 UPDATE: Im sorry I had to add this for their benefit. Only weeks after the brake job the Audi's water pump failed (look that problem up online). No gearhead car owner can even dream of fixing it themselves, so it went back to Dee Pats. I dont know where this guy Jeff the owner came from but has to be hands down the most skilled auto mechanic Ive ever heard of. The engine runs BETTER than new now. To put this in perspective, if I had a massive problem that was covered under warranty, I would rather bring this car back to Jeff and his crew and pay out of pocket than go to Audi. Seriously, thats how impressed I am with their work. Thanks again my friends 👍

Couldn't say enough great things about this place. The people are absolutely wonderful, always nice and communicate great. They're very reliable, trustworthy and honest, I know that my car is in great hands here. We recently moved, & a resident from our development recommended Dee Pat’s AWSOmotive Auto Repair in Selden. We brought in my husband’s old 2012 Toyota Camry as it hadn’t been serviced for some time. We were’t sure if the brakes required attention. We were told they didn’t, but a full tune-up was suggested; so we had that done. The staff here at Dee Pat’s was exceptionally kind and thorough in their explanations. I have been SO MISERABLE with the Toyota Dealership that has been servicing my 2021 Sienna, feeling like they’re always looking to charge me for extra work (not covered by the Platinum Policy I purchased {which was exorbitant}), I never feel safe there or cared about. This was totally different experience; one that I appreciated completely. The work done was not inexpensive, but I’m choosing to believe it was serviced well and ultimately saved the car from various deteriorations often accompanied by old age.

Came by for an inspection and they took me right in! Everyone working was incredibly kind and personable. The waiting area was clean and well furnished with a coffee maker. A comfortable place to hangout while your service is being done. Absolutely will be back

The mechanics here know what theyre doing, the staff is very nice, and they didn't try to rip us off when we took our car for an oil leak and their prices are very competitive. Very difficult to come by nowadays with mechanics. They also work on a variety of cars from japanese to american. The facility itself is clean and the parking lot is spacious, very impressive for a family owned mechanic shop. Looks like I found my local mechanic!

My sister went for a simple battery replacement. They wanted to charge $600 but was told she could “get away with” a $500 battery. When questioned, they lowered it to $350. She didn’t realize if you buy a battery at Walmart, they will install it for free. She could’ve spent $100 instead of $350. She was totally taken advantage of. Shame on them.

Love Dee Pats Awsomotive! Been going to Awsomotive since their Mount Sinai days with Jackie and Jeff! It’s been great seeing them back and working with Dee Pats. It was a great experience at Mount Sinai and their work in Selden has been excellent as well! Far and away they are the best auto repair shop out there! Super trustworthy, great customer service and their prices are always fair!!

I was doing a random search to get my AC fixed and Dee Pats came up with very good reviews and my experience was the same. Rob was very courteous and helpful over the phone I called the next day to schedule an appointment and although I couldn't get all the work done at once I think their prices were fair and they had a nice waiting area with Wi-Fi so I worked on my computer while my car was being repaired. I would definitely recommend them and I would go bac for any future car needs. Thanks!

These guys are compassionate to their customers and do the work professionally and efficiently..I took my cars in there for oil changes and inspections and they accommodated our timeline and did whatever they had to do even in that brutal heat with a smile. Great place to know you won't get ripped off and bulldozed when you need to know what has to be done with your car and how urgent it is to get done and how much it will cost.

First used dee pat 5+ years ago when I had an exhaust issue with my car. I had received a quote from a nearby shop for $1200 to fix the problem, and was also told that was a “best case scenario price” and it was possibly going to raise after they start working on it. After seeing the reviews on the shop I was using, I decided to take it to dee pat to get a second opinion. Thankfully I did, because dee pat ended up finding it was a different issue than the original shop. Which only ended up costing me $375. I have used them for everything ever since. This is an honest and efficient shop. Absolutely deserving of their fantastic reputation.

Dee pats is the best, they really go out of their way to work with you. Very honest and reliable, and everyone who works there is so nice. They take care of both of my parents cars whenever they need a service, and they took care of mine until I got a new car with a warranty on it that covers certain things. If there’s ever anything i need not covered by the warranty or when it runs out, I would definitely bring the new car to back here!

Every problem I had to bring to them they communicated to me with kindness and efficiency, diagnosing the problem with honesty and full transparency. I never met more knowledgeable and efficient mechanics. Everyone there is so pleasant and friendly and we are so thankful there’s a well run shop like this one so close to us. It’s been a huge relief to my family after every completed service to know our cars were taken care of so exceptionally. They never mislead or add any unnecessary things that your car doesn’t actually need. They provide a stress free outstanding service while explaining exactly what shape your car is in. He has never disappointed me once. Jackie has always been extremely accommodating to squeeze in a last minute oil change or to have Jeff check out a problem. Jeff has always been very knowledgeable about whatever car I brought into his shop, has always provided great service and has always given great advice. I have used them twice now and very pleased. Both times I used them for inspections and neither time did they try to upsell me. I found everyone who works there to be pleasant and accommodating. As I waited for my car I watched the interactions with all the customers to be positive.

This place is the perfect auto shop! So clean and even decorated. Most importantly they are very professional. I called on the phone to inquire about my warranty and they did all of the leg work for me. The communication here is amazing! And look how cut the bathroom is!

I used to go to a body shop in ronkonkoma for years, and any time I went I would wait hours or days to get my car back for the simplest work, not only that I would be paying way to much for what was done on my car. I was recommended Dee Pats by a friend and I have to say I am happy I found them. Not only do they stick to a schedule (seeing me on time), but the staff is friendly, and they don't nickel and dime you. Everything is explained before they do it, and that includes a price breakdown and they welcome questions. I brought my mothers car there as well and they explained everything to her, so even she at 77 could understand what they were doing and was comfortable with the pricing. I truly wish I could give more than 5 stars as what they are doing in this shop is truly amazing and makes everyone feel welcomed. Happy to have found a shop I can trust.

Jeff did a great job. We have a 1983 classic VW. Most shops can’t do a wheel alignment on an old VW but Jeff is a wealth of automotive knowledge and did the right job !!!
