This review is on the customer service part of the business. I Left a message requesting an estimate on replacing an oil filter housing on my BMW X3. Received a call back from Troy stating 4.5 hours labor at 175.00 per hour plus parts. Ok, sounds fair, I requested an ESTIMATE on parts. I was told "no". "Not unless the car is here". Listen, I understand some people are calling around shopping for the best price. I know these guys are pros, I have used them before that is why I called them. I wasn't looking for the cheapest price and would have had the work done if the parts price seemed fair...guess I wasn't worth the time. To be clear there are maybe 4 or 5 parts required and I know that a kit is sold that contains everything needed. It would have taken a few minutes to get me an idea of the parts cost. That is the last time I call them or recommend them.
Best mechanic around. They are reliable and honest and help you take care of anything that's wrong with your car. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

The most professional and honest shop I’ve ever went to. These mechanics are truly different than most. They don’t lie to you to get you to spend a bunch of money. They are honest reliable and overall great guys. I recommend this shop to everyone. And any car issues I ever have with a vehicle I will ONLY go to them.

First-rate automotive repair place! They do an excellent job in repairs, and, importantly, they're HONEST! I have been coming here for about 10 years.
The very first time I patronized Middle Country Automotive, my brake light was on. I worried that something serious was wrong with my brakes, and I went to Middle Country Automotive only because it was the nearest one to where I was at that moment.
It turned out that I had inadvertently switched on the emergency brake. All they had to do was switch it off, and they did so free of charge. A less honest garage might have pretended to have done a major overhaul and charged hundreds!
Because this place is so good, they are often backed up, and as often as not, you need to call in advance for an appointment. And that's just fine when you're getting an oil change or other routine maintenance done.
If you need to have your car towed to be repaired, they might not be able to get to your car immediately, but they will call you to notify you that your car is ready. If they're super-busy, that can take 2 days at the very longest. And that's not bad at all.
While you're waiting for a same-day repair or an oil change, you can leave and return later; or you can relax inside the waiting room, which has several comfortable chairs, some reading material, and a large TV set.
A1 service with a smile, from Kelly behind the counter to the friendly pit crew in the garage!! Been using their services for over 30 years and counting!! They treat you like family!! Two thumbs up!!👍🏼👍🏼

So glad we found this shop and it was actually on google! Came in for a code on my truck and how it was almost feeling like it was gonna stall. Ricki at the shop was informative and was honest from the start on what it could be from minor to major problem. Nothing was hidden from us. They kept us informed via phone and text message regarding the diagnostic, estimate, the repair, and completion. Its great they offer a warranty on the work they do. It makes you feel at ease. Pricing was very reasonable and they used mopar parts to repair. Got my truck back and it is running better than ever! We will def be using this shop for furture if any problems/repairs! Thank you!
Stay away!!!! Don’t let there “best bethpage” wall ornaments fool you. Rude and embarrassingly uninformed of New Yorks automotive laws.

****Update****: I wouldn’t have left one but as you can see they are stubborn. I brought my vehicle about a half mile down the road to Mavis Tire and they passed it. Happy to bring down inspection report to your office personally. Thanks for wasting my time.
PSA: Don’t do business with these people. Go to Mavis friendly staff and not rude.
I have had a few really good outcomes with this shop in the past. This time I Came in with a tail light that wouldn't work because of a faulty trailer harness install. They unplugged the trailer harness plugged the taillight back in and charged me $215 for that. Now I have no trailer lights. In all fairness they did spend over an hour on the problem but couldn't fix it without more time. I would definitely use them again. Because they have excellent mechanics.
I feel comfortable bringing our cars there because they do a safety check and work with the owner to make sure that their car is in good working condition. Instead of waiting around they brought me back to my house and called when service was completed. Great. Customer service!!

I love this place. Every time I have been in, the whole staff is friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I usually take my car and wait and I have always had a pleasant experience here. I have two cars that are on the older side, and I have taken them to other places on the island where I was told I would need costly repairs even to pass a state inspection. At MCA, they did not force us into costly repairs. They made the typical suggestions for maintenance but did not scare us into anything unnecessary.
This is a great place to have maintenance/car repairs done. It’s full of hard-working and honest guys who try to do the right thing and are always up front with you. I’ve only been there once for my tire that appeared to have low pressure symbol and they were able to squeeze me in without an appointment slot and accommodate me. They fixed it up, replace the tire valve pressure and got me on the road in like 30-40 mins. They were very nice about it despite being fairly busy. Great service. Again, this was only my first visit here but will definitely come back. Hope to get the same experience again!
Middle Country Automotive had speedy and efficient service to offer, with great people running the place. Everyone there created such a friendly, welcoming environment and it left a great impression on us. A business is only as good as the people who run it, and everyone here was both professional and incredibly kind. We appreciate that they brought good attitudes into the workplace. We will definitely be returning here if we need more work done on our car while we live in the area. Troy was our helper today, and he did a great job with both speed and efficiency, he was very knowledgable and even helped us to learn a few things. Great service, great people, reasonable prices! 100% recommend. 👍
I went for the NY state inspection and got great service. My car was broken so I couldn’t do the inspection at one time however they manage to handle all the Inspection with no extra charge. They even removed screws that was in my tire for free!
