The guy behind the counter is a genius. He's one of the best-looking people I've ever seen. He is an amazing guy, and he's modest, too. He's still there. He does the inspections now!! The speed bump is gone! Drive slowly, the road is still bumpy.
Like a good doctor, a good mechanic is necessary. And that is what I found at Tom's.Thier prices are fair, they are thorough and always explain what was done or must be done. They have serviced my vehicles for years. And are my first stop when planning any long distance road trips.
I found my new auto repair shop. Dave and his team were a pleasure to work with. My suv was in desperate need of a break job. Dave took care of it with great professionalism, both in the quality of the work and the quality of the customer service. I would definitely recommend them for any of your auto needs, honest, reliable and affordable . If I could give them a 10 star review I would.
The guy doing the inspections got me in and out quick and was super professional, the lead tech was also really helpful with quoting me a price on doong some work with my jeep and got me in within a week and had a very reasonable price!
I've been going to toms for a very long time these guys are very honest they do excellent work and they know this stuff I would recommend this place to anybody anytime and their rates are very very affordable probably one of the lowest in the area
They are horrible since the owner passed away overcharged for brakes lied and said the car takes ceramic pads which is a lie OEM are organic pads and when I had my power steering pump installed they over tightened my belt will not be going back
the best! called them last minute to get back rotors and brake pads changed, they stayed open for me as a courtesy even though i was a first time customer! reasonably priced and amazing customer service
First - make sure you pull into the correct side-road to get you to Tom's, it's quite a ways off of Middle Country Road.
Tom is AWESOME. I called day-of to see if he could take a look at my 20 year old car, and he got me in on a Saturday afternoon. Came out and inspected it with us, showed me a thing or two, mentioned that the discovered issue was nothing pressing (we were on the Island visiting family) and told us what to do when we got back home. Knowledgeable, professional, personable - if you've got an issue, come see Tom!
These guys are awesome, if you want your vehicle fixed right at a fair price. Then Tom's Middle Island Auto is the place to go. If I could give them 10 stars I would, but this site won't let you.

Finding a good shop was a nightmare. At Tom's,
I couldn't ask for better service. Always answers the phone, always ready for my car when I get there and I've never had to bring my car back to the shop because of any unwanted squeaking or unfinished repairs. Thanks Tom!
i went to get a new starter for my 09 honda civic ex and it cost me over $400 and supposedly the part was only $225 according to them so i paid $175 for them to put it in?!? i think that was a lil ridiculous tbh
I needed some work on my car which would have prevented it from passing NYS inspection. I am just not in a position right now where I can afford it.They told me not to worry, they would hook us up. After 3 days, all they did was screw up my windows!!! I got what I deserved. They are nothing but liars, especially the sister who runs block for the rest of that crew. Stay FAR away from this outfit.
