Terrible service first car I brought in for an oil change they forgot to put the cap back on the engine I had to buy a new one. Second car I brought in for tire installation none of the tires had the correct air they just threw the old ones in the back of my car scratching the inside and making black streaks on the inner panels also charged for things I did not authorize manager never called back. Never go there again. Worst place for service
Have nothing but amazing experience everytime I go. I use the middle island location. Lionel and the rest of the workers were super helpful and helped me in an emergency situation. I needed two front tires and I have children, of course this landed on a holiday weekend. They even made phone calls to another location to help me find the right size due to them not having it in stock. Great experience great workers and my car was also finished prior to my scheduled appointment time because I showed up early. Would recommend to anyone! It’s also amazing that any service that is done is logged into the Carfax history and it alerts me my history of the car had been updated. Also the prices are very reasonable and you don’t feel like you’re getting ripped off.
1st time I've been to Walmart auto. They were beyond helpful and They replaced my tires quickly. No hidden costs. Highly recommend.

This 5 star review goes to David in the service center. Fast service, kind & outstanding service. I went in for an oil change and they vacuumed my car, put windshield wiper fluid in & air in my tires. On top of that, David helped me bring my groceries out to my car.. Thank you!
On 4th of July I brought my Burgundy Kia Sorento for service and Lionel the supervisor is always very nice, thorough, and goes above and beyond to help me, Benjamin was friendly and explained everything to me, Dorguin was accommodating with info for my car, and Kim, Omelia, Edgar, and David were amazing too.
Overall It was fine and good value for the price. $65 for synthetic oil and filter and work For Jeep Grand Cherokee. The only things that made not a good taste for this was that I specifically asked before how much it will cost me and they said 55 and then when I came to pay they added $5 tax which is okay and another $5 for an additional amount of oil because they said that it's a big car. So why not you mention it at the beginning?
Edgar & Ray were awesome! Got me right in, squared everything away and even pointed out a slight leak I have after just getting my truck worked on by the dealer. Great customer service! Thank you Ray and Edgar! We will bring all our vehicles to them for oil changes now!
Unfortunately Angel had retired and Terry is no longer there. I will be buying tires and having them Installed soon. I will re evaluate and tell of the service again soon
Angel is the manager in the back. He is who oversees and makes sure the customer is always happy, and satisfied. He does and amazing job and the techs , I almost never have issues with
always kind. Terry the Manager of the whole dept, is a ball buster, but, he tries to be fair. They do a good job and I've been getting tires here for years. The prices are fairly reasonable and the quality is on point.
They definitely have a whole new auto care crew and staff. I was very impressed that they offer and take appointments (the other staff did not offer that), everything was clearly and professionally communicated and cared for (the other staff had trouble with being nice), and lastly, the current staff took in and cared for a few customers while I was there very quickly including myself (whereas the last staff took in 3 cars and called it a day for whatever excuse they mentioned). I wanted to add that these men went even further to clean each customers windows as a courtesy and I thought this was so nice of them:) thank you guys so much!
Best price for tires and quick installation! David is truly a professional service tech, explained everything very clearly and was super nice through the entire process. Will definitely return next time I need my car serviced!
CAUTION: If I could give a 0 Star review, I would. DO NOT get your Oil Changed or perform any Car Care services at this Auto Center at Walmart in Middle Island, NY! My family brought our vehicle in for a Synthetic Oil Change and the technician installed the wrong oil filter and left the oil filter loose. Our car is currently sitting at a Dealership with a seized engine and Walmart denied paying for the repair, even though the internal engine damage is directly related to lack of lubrication from all of the oil leaking out of the engine. For the sake of your vehicle and your wallet, take your vehicle elsewhere!
The manager is great I don't know how he does it between the phone calls coming in and the customer is asking him for things inside the store and being outside watching the workers he does a great job with what he has especially when Angel is there which is great they get things done can't go to a better place

Went to Walmart to get a oil change this morning. They said it’s take a hour and a half. I wasn’t please with the timing but I needed it done so I decided to shop while they did it. A hour and a half later I come back to auto and the man behind the counter says “there was a problem. We couldn’t get the filter off so we couldn’t do the oil change.” That doesn’t even make sense first of all, second of all if that was the case why not page me or call me to return to auto? Why have me wait a hour and a half for nothing? Communication is the purpose of them asking for your number initially and whether or not you’re going to stay in the store or leave right? You decided not to communicate with me at all and waste my time. This is completely unprofessional and ridiculous. Walmart has officially lost my business.

Tires were great. Easy to pickup. Tire Center service very poor. Closing early as I just walked in rushing after work, even though it says they’re open til 7. Then guy started giving other excuses saying they couldn’t put them on anyways because the tire was “too aggressive” so I told him I’d like to just take the tires home. Even had spare set of rims to make the job that much easier, still excuses. I will be buying tires from Walmart again as they have great prices, although I will never try to use Walmart’s tire center again, I will have my local tire shop mount and balance them.
Wal-Mart should close all auto centers. They don't pay their employees enough to care about their job nor the customer's vehicle's needs. They make their own hours & close before the posted times. It's frustrating to come here multiple times hoping they might be still open at 5om when the website states 7pm.
The Auto Centers at Wakmart, although they offer competitive prices, the problem is trying to get an associate on the phone. I tried 4 stores, for several days, at differant times and no answer. So I took the "word" of the Walmart website, which said the tire I was looking for was in stock, and drove to the Middle Island store. Much to my chagrin, they were unable to locate the tire, which according to their associate, they had 7. The associate behind the counter was very nice and offered to call another store to check inventory. Out of 3, 1 store answered, she stated that that was a common problem. But of course the one store that answered was the furthest store from my house, almost an hour away. East Setauket Auto Center, very friendly, informed me of my 3 hour wait time to install a tire. But what can you do. So dont bother calling, they don't answer. Just because the website says they have it doesn't mean they have it. Maybe save yourself the $10 in gas driving around and go someplace closer to home.
Very unhappy with service. Assigned my vehicle to someone even though I gave my name 3xs cell 3xs..Still..got it wrong.
Never bothered to contact me when oil change was finished..
Then had to search for my keys and had a bit of an attitude about it.
The only good thing..price..
Will not go back to Middle Island for that.
BTW...that store operates with WITHOUT ENOUGH CASHIERS!

Please beware of this place. My daughter bought four new tires a week ago. Kept losing air on one. Went back 6 days after purchase and the tire was dry rotted!!!. Acted as if my daughter was trying to pull a fast one on them. Manager of auto shop argued and became nasty claiming she only bought three new tires. She showed her receipt clearly showing four new tires. She or anyone else could have been killed or injured If if blew out. Shame on you Walmart tire center middle island NY ! And shame on their attitude and blaming the customer for Walmarts mistake of putting a rotted tire on the car.
Was desperate for two tires to replace flats on car. Spoke to Toni and was treated so nicely. Despite a very busy day, she handled everyone’s issues with patience and understanding, and Donna was a breath of fresh air in the way she dealt with car service customers. More businesses should have such customer service professionals.
Oil changes are fine there but I had requested a light bulb change and did not find out until I got the bill that it wasn't done because 'it was too much work'
The technician that help me was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The price was great compare to other places. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. And while I waited for my car to be done. I got some shopping out of the way.
I had a flat tire I came in JUST to get the new tire mounted, without letting me know there were a million fees, and also my valve that takes the air needed to be replaced, they did this without my permission. I was there just for a tire. They charge you to get rid of the old tire which the gentleman didnt state, they charge you every fee they can get away with. I could have went to a used tire place and got a tire for half the price.
