Took Elvis Vintage itiems to sell and employee offered a price , he explained if i wish to come back i can , when i attempted to come back they changed there minds and would not honar there verbal offer ........I was told to try other collectors and call back if i had no luck i tried several collectors and decided to call Retro back the employee said they dont want it nomore ....

I have been in this store for years, and every time I go there, I appreciated the friendliness and the atmosphere of not only people and the dealers, and the randomness of the store that leaves the eyes on constant appetite. But due to issues with the owner, it is time for me to leave and move on. I did like the store for the most part, but recently today I was kicked out because I told the owner if he can be reasonable with the discounts (or pricing negotiations) but he turned around and took it the wrong way verbally and in some way confrontation and told me that I told him "you are being unreasonable." He took it very personal even though, those were never my words and he quickly yelled and kicked me out of the store. This whole discount thing started when I found a Star Wars Royal Guard 3.75" figure in the $1 bin. Ever since the hard work into finding the pieces from the dollar bin, he told me it isn't $1 and tried to up the price on me to a point I just gave it to the owner. Same goes when I found a 12" batgirl figure from the $1 bin and he told me it belongs in the $5 bin.... it's like any deals I find in the store that I wanted, my hard work in finding something random became an upcharge... That's where I have been asking for a small discount whenever I came to the store because it feels I work for the owner for free and I thought we had an understanding whenever I find something that's $1 bin and brought to his attention, he can upcharge from the item that I found from that random $1 bin. In return I would always help the owner and hope to get discount from future purchase. Don't get me wrong, whenever I stop by to the store, I spent over $100's on purchases on top of introducing friend's to the store with good word of mouth. I want to also reiterate, prior to this altercation (8/3/25), it was during the Star Wars sale at the beginning of every month Tuesday a 20% off. When I brought everything to the register, it comes out to a total $68.51 after $5.51 tax. I asked the owner if there is a possible additional discount, but was told everything is tax. So he suggested that I pay half cash ($35) the rest to credit card implying that I would save some money. Turns out I don't save much of anything as even with cash I was charged the full $5.51 tax, which begs me to believe, why didn't I just use my credit card for the whole purchase instead of burning my cash anyway if I don't save anything regardless of half cash/half credit card? After talking with the owner, he became hotheaded and in some way kicked or banned me from ever returning back to the store because of what was said, I am not entitled for the discounts, but it would be good here and there if I was helping the owner anyway if I worked hard finding stuff for him, and my time shouldn't be for charity, even if I am a returning customer that every time I am at the store, I am constantly buying something. I am hoping the owner wouldn't be confrontational and hope that he would be more professional in the future even if I am not welcome in the store anymore.

Although only buy things from here sometimes, I'm at least at this place twice a week. Stores like these I hope can last forever, everyone in here is nice and respectful even all the vendors. The one thing I would definitely like to see is less Pokemon and Funko. I get it, that's the money makers but it's getting extremely oversaturated

It's a dirty hole in the wall where everything's marked up and shoved on a self to be forgotten. Theirs a thousand stores like this one with better prices and cleanliness that won't make you want to itch the minute you step foot into the shop.

Love coming here for the anime figures, I hope that they restock them soon!! I think I have 10 figures from here alone!!

Love this place. Go here for collectible items, sports memorabilia, toys, vintage, goth, all things audio and video, and lots more. Also, there is a really cool knife, replica weapons, and jewelry couple hidden i. The back corner i highly recommend.

Flea market meets junk store, quickly being overcome by toys and figures.Worth a walk through if your in the neighborhood, but not really a destination anymore.

This is a cool place . It's hard to really say anything negative cuz it kind of reminds me of a giant flea market, but it has toys, games, collectibles. Honestly, if you go here you're going to find a lot of moments where you feel like it's a a blast from the past. I honestly can spend hours here and not for nothing. Some of the stuff you find is in great condition and the prices are not terrible. But seriously if you love toys come here

Amazing store! Always has new and quirky things! You can find almost anything you need there. Love this place and have gotten amazing items there. Definitely check it out if you are a collector!

Deleted my Previous 5 star review due to the huge change in the store, it used to have some great Antiques! Now it's 80s toys, funko and junk.

This is a great place! Even better combining with Time Warp. Vendors are all still there too! Not Just toys.....records, tshirts, vintage items, jewelry, knives and swords, boutique items, incense, handmade items....all great stuff!!

The shops more just overpriced with a lot of thing toys etc , the people are nice but not even worth it I’m telling you , I can go to eBay and get it for cheaper I saw today even for shoes they are charging like $400 which on stock x you can get them for $165??

Honestly a shame what this shop has become. Used to come here a lot in the past due to the wide variety of things to look at and different booths. Now that Time Warp had closed, they moved EVERYTHING they had in there and it's not the unique antique store it used to be. Just an overabundance of Pops! and over priced toys.

Had the pleasure today of meeting Chris of Standard Collectibles & Card Games located in Retro Relics (2860 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove) I was with my 2 grandsons (11& 12 yr. olds) who wanted to buy & sell some Pokémon cards. Chris is a true subject matter expert . He was extremely kind, patient & customer oriented even with these " young customers" He went above & beyond to explain & educate my boys on how cards are rated & evaluated. There were other customers at his booth who he also treated with this same outstanding customer service. Retro Relics is worth the trip for the enormous & diverse array of collectibles & Chris & Alex's Standard Collectibles & Card Games booth is a must on your visit!

I highly recommend this store. Many hidden treasures. All the vendors are pleasant and some vendors are extremely talented with their one of a kind crafts and such! Stop by and just explore. That’s how I found the perfect Christmas gifts and then returned for Easter gifts as well!

Owner is rude, abrasive, and has no clue how to interact with or speak to customers. Treats you like you are interrupting his day. Will never purchase from there again. And I have been a buyer here for years. Many more places on the island that appreciate their customers and know how to interact. Not this place.

Great Antique store. There is different vendors inside with tons of Antiques and Collectibles, with toys and household things. Prices vary. But a kool place to get a few things or just browse.

Up and coming and it’s really getting a lot of good venders. A lot of it is more “newer vintage” but a lot of fun to take a look at my childhood toys! ? they have a lot of comics, funko pops And comic books.

Fantastic collectibles store. As time progresses they seem to stock better and more desirable items. Charlie is always willing to barter prices, and I have always left the store knowing I got a great deal. Highly recommended esp for Sideshow statues.

This store it's pretty awesome, if you like to collect, they have pretty much everything. I found my Megazord here and Elizabeth Swann. My collection is getting bigger. They have a lot of Disney stuff and DVDs

Coolest retro shop you can ever visit. I love the set up they have and all workers are very respectful. It was my first time going I seen toys from when I was a baby up to my current age, it's like visiting a time capsule. It was definitely a wonderful experience stop here on my walk. I highly recommend this location.

If you're interested in old nostalgia I think you will definitely enjoy this place. Old comic books, diecast trucks and cars and all different types of antiques all at a reasonable price.

How have I missed this gem. I shop at Lidl and never visited till my son told me it was open. Literally something for everyone. The prices are ridiculously low and beyond reasonable, especially for collectibles. Besides the everyday collector, this should be a regular visit for every designer out there. Unique decorative pieces. Lake Grove should consider themselves lucky to have such store as this. Never seen anything like it. It will be a regular visit for me and my kids from now on in. Very friendly and informative vendors and workers.

They have different sections of things at this store video games, katana, knifes, tables, chairs, crystal, purses, Barbies, cabbage patch, collector card and much more definitely will go back to get other things

This is an amazing store with an extreme variety of items including handbags, ponchos, jewelry, knives, swords, comics, furniture, soaps, candles, model cars, gaming accessories, DVD's, remote control cars, tools, clothing, boards games, Cornhole boards, custom signage, jerseys, sports memorabilia, movie props and much more. This place has a great set of vendors and customer service is top notch. I'd highly recommend a visit.
