We were just there for dinner and we used to have such good experiences. We were there many times before just only responding now to a bad third experience the meat we asked for medium rare came medium towards well . Everything is inconsistent , whatever entrée you got one week will be totally different the next week , service is always hit or miss, the wine I can’t believe spectacular location and spent the time on logistics and building wouldn’t have a wine fridge. They serve red wine with such a warm temperature. It’s almost shocking. Again, better restaurants always know red wine is not served at beyond below room temperature.

Was there in early December with my three sisters celebrating a special birthday. The staff was very accommodating and the Inn is so nicely decorated for the holiday. Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to make us comfortable. We stayed in a cabin on site and it was well appointed and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was beautiful. The dog in the other room was problematic (pet friendly rooms should be away from the other rooms) and the continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, especially considering the price of the room and it being off-season.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 We stayed at Canoe Place Inn & Cottages for two nights and absolutely loved it. The property is beautiful — elegant, quiet, and full of charm. Our room had a fireplace, which made it feel so cozy and private, especially during the holidays. When we arrived, there was even a Christmas tree in the room — such a thoughtful touch. The service was excellent — warm, professional, and personal. Every staff member we met went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food at the bar was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed but refined. The room was spotless, incredibly quiet, and beautifully designed — you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. The breakfast buffet in the morning was generous, with fresh bagels, eggs, cheese, fruit, and pastries — the perfect start to the day. We were there just after Christmas and right before New Year’s, and the whole place felt festive yet peaceful. It’s a high-end boutique hotel that still feels personal. We can’t wait to come back — it was a wonderful stay from start to finish.

The Boathouses at Canoe Place were the perfect way to enjoy a large-party (we were 6) Birthday weekend in the Hamptons! Like our very own, brand new house with all the perks of a high-end hotel including incredible staff and hotel amenities included. Highly recommend for group trips!

My stay at the Canoe Place Inn Waterfront Residences was exceptional from start to finish. I was warmly greeted by a lovely staff member who explained everything I needed to know — from key code access to my townhouse to the wide range of amenities, including dining deliveries, spa treatments, a private saltwater pool and jacuzzi (equipped with a handicapped chairlift for added accessibility), and a fully equipped fitness room.||||What made this stay truly special was the personalized service. I could text a dedicated number for any questions, order food, or book the inn’s courtesy vehicle, and everything was taken care of promptly. This attention to detail added a remarkable sense of ease and comfort.||||The residence itself was beautifully curated, with purified water, top-of-the-line appliances, thoughtfully selected products by The Grown Alchemist, and a stunning exterior lined with beautiful flowers and beach grass. It made for a serene and restorative retreat for me and my salty dog.||||Dining at the inn was another highlight — I enjoyed Clams Casino, a lobster roll with shoestring fries, blueberry and coconut crumb cake, a cinnamon roll, and a refreshing beet salad. I even spotted freshly baked-to-order chocolate chip cookies on the menu to try next time.||||With coffee by Hampton Coffee Company, calming teas, and Infused Shirley Temple Dots from the minibar, every detail was considered. I left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already looking forward to my next stay.

Went for happy hour. Drinks & happy hour dishes were $10-$12 each. Pizza & Caesar salad very good. Breaded clams were average. Surroundings & staff...perfection..can't wait to go again.

We had a wonderful stay at Canoe Place Inn. It’s a gorgeous property in Hampton Bays, easily accessible to several Hamptons towns. The Inn is beautiful and serene. Our room was gorgeous with a terrace and lovely finishings. Despite the Inn being just stunning, it doesn’t have the snobby feel of some of the other Hamptons hotels. I attribute that to the stellar staff who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They gave us a full beach set up including pass to explore some great local beaches. And we had a great time hanging out by the pool. The one critique I’d mention is that we were virtually ignored by outdoor wait staff at the pool, while we watching another group getting full service.

Canoe Place is our new happy place! My teen daughter and I stayed here for a mother-daughter getaway and we didn't want to leave. ||||The hotel is beautiful with flowers and foliage surrounding the Hampton style buildings and the rooms are so pretty! Loved all the furniture and amenities on the room. ||||We loved eating at the Good Ground restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The dishes were flavorful and waiters provided great service. Best fries! Best granola! ||||The front desk staff are delightful, helping us with any questions all of our requests. ||||Our dog enjoyed his stay too! Apparently the beds are so comfy, he didn't want to leave either!

This place feels so grifty and the event planning was less than desirable. Went to a Rufus concert and had tickets to the before-show dinner which was held in a very small space in the back. We were told dinner would be served and then it was burgers and hotdogs you had to pay for, drinks were insanely expensive, and don't even get me started about how disorganized the grilling process was. I don't blame the cooking staff at all but whoever organized that event clearly didn't care about getting people their food in a timely fashion. I ordered food and it took nearly a half hour to get it. It felt like it was all just trying to be a cash grab. No regard for the customer experience. I will never come back. Oh and all the burgers and buns were burned because they didn't plan well. Depressing.

Went to a concert here and it was a nice, intimate venue. The bar selection was scarce and they only had one vodka- an unknown brand. They were a bit disorganized with distributing the bracelets to delineate your section. The restaurant looked good and I’d like to return to try it. The renovation was lovely.

This hotel is great. Supremely convenient location. The room quality is outstanding. The attention to detail from a cleanliness and construction quality perspective is the best I’ve seen. All the staff was so nice and thoughtful, remembered our names and comments, impressive. Josh at the restaurant is a great manager. He even stepped up when the restaurant was busy and helped out his staff on table service. Great leadership and management from him, he deserves a raise. The pool is the perfect temperature. The beet salad was simply delicious. Overall, a truly lovely experience. I’ll be back !!

Our family just had the best this weekend while staying at the two bedroom cottage! The space was spotless and very well done. I particularly liked the outdoor fireplace and spent a ton of time enjoying the backyard. The grounds were meticulously kept and the staff was beyond helpful. Easy and convenient location. Cannot wait to return. Sent the drone up - enjoy some property shots!

A lovely family stay at Canoe Place Inn! Such a welcoming and stunning property with elevated hospitality that is the perfect location with so much of the Hamptons at our fingertips. We appreciated the wonderful staff including the GM Matt, Jill, Molly, Dylan and everyone in between. They were so kind to our young children which we are grateful for. We will be back again!

Happy Hour with the ladies.4-6pm. Cocktails are amazing, and drinks are filled to the top as it should be. The appetizers were delicious. The ambiance is perfectly appointed. You order at the bar and get to choose bar or table seating. Service is friendly attentive and excellent. A wonderful experience, not to be missed.

I unfortunately Ruptured my Achilles in October and was sad that I wouldn’t be able to take a trip with my girlfriend. I family friend recommended that I look into the Holiday Suite and Canoe Place, and it was absolutely incredible. The room was so spacious and had a lovely fireplace and a chilled bottle of champagne upon our arrival. All staff were very welcoming and kind, it was truly a lovely experience. I just wish I coulda swung more than one night ? We will definitely be back to try new things at the restaurant very soon. FINALLY found a restaurant and lounge that offers a fun, welcoming, atmosphere and serves a variety of delectable foods. Enjoy a romantic dinner, a relaxing evening with friends or a special event in one of their 4 dining areas. My husband and I, along with a few friends celebrated a birthday in The Study, and Josh made sure our evening was perfect. The Canoe Place Inn & Cottages is surely a hidden gem!

So first time great looking place. The waiter was nice and friendly. The food was good so when you get the menu it's all dinner items. But there's another menu with pizza and bar food . I had the burger which was very good. At the end of the night I had the cholalate dessert. It was great ... but half way through enjoying it while I was talking to my girlfriend a waitress came by and scooped it up and took it away. I then find out my burger I sent to be wrap up was thrown away too. Probably the waitress. So my waiter made me a new one, which was very nice. The drinks are not good. I had a Cosmo and it definitely wasn't a Cosmo. I Definitely won't come back here , especially after seeing the bill for what it was.

This location was a nightclub for years before laying dormant for a long time. I expected the old wood structure to go up in flames one night. Instead the current owners completely rebuilt the main building and added a number of smaller house around the property. Then they decided to make the place upscale with fine food, expensive drinks, and special events like concerts, book readings, and so forth. I said they did a good job but that it would never work in this location. I was totally wrong. The atmosphere is great. The food is very good. The drinks are good. And did I mention the atmosphere is great. One of my favorite places to go now in Hampton Bays. I worked there in the 70’s during its heyday as a nightclub with Twisted Sister as the house band, concerts by Foreigner, Southside Johnny, and Muddy Waters. I never guessed it could morph into its current setup but it has. Great job by the new owners.

Fantastic stay! The aesthetic of the rooms is perfect and timeless. Spa experience was relaxing and the staff incredibly helpful. Bar and restaurant staff were accommodating and friendly. Molly’s hospitality was impeccable. I will definitely be back. Finding the entrance was a little tricky - my only feedback is to improve signage a little :).

Charming Getaway with a Few Hiccups Our celebration of my husband's birthday at Canoe Place Inn & Cottages was a delightful experience, marked by wonderful moments and a couple of minor setbacks. The location's aesthetic, combined with its dog-friendly policy, made for a perfect setting. The standout feature of our stay was the exceptional service, particularly from the front desk staff. The gentleman from Montenegro and the blonde hostess at the restaurant went above and beyond in their roles, making us feel special and well-cared-for throughout our stay. The hostess's willingness to help us with a TV issue, not part of her job, exemplified exceptional customer service. Dining at the property's restaurant was a highlight. The food was consistently delicious, with the mushroom pasta deserving a special mention for its exquisite flavors. However, the roasted chicken, while promising, lacked the same culinary flair and could benefit from some refinement. Our ground-floor accommodation brought its own challenge – noise from the unit above, mainly caused by a child running around. This was quite disruptive, often sounding like a continuous thunderstorm in our room. We are thankful to the front desk for addressing this issue promptly, though it was a recurring theme during our stay. Despite these small issues, Canoe Place Inn & Cottages left a lasting impression on us with its charming ambiance, excellent service, and delightful cuisine. We are definitely planning a return visit, perhaps opting for a room on a higher floor to ensure a more tranquil experience. The property, with its mix of comfort, luxury, and attentive staff, remains a top choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. ????

Truly can’t say enough good things about our stay at Canoe Place. The room was absolutely beautifully designed and so spacious. The fireplace was such a highlight — especially during the colder evening hours! And the terrace patio was awesome! Honestly I want to design our home exactly like they’ve designed this space. It’s gorgeous. We golfed during our stay and the inn staff were so wonderful in helping us coordinate golf club receipt and return shipping. 10/10 recommend staying here and we’re already talking about when we can go back!

The attention to detail is impressive. They have truly thought of everything - from the plush robes to the high-quality toiletries - all the amenities you might need are available. The on-site restaurant is also fantastic. The menu offered a fantastic selection of dishes and it was clear that only the freshest of ingredients were used. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. And the cocktails were also quite good -- carefully crafted to perfection. It's rare to find an establishment that excels in every area, but Canoe Place Inn & Cottages hit the mark. I cannot recommend it highly enough and look forward to returning.

We cannot thank the front desk manager Molly Fargo enough for all her help to choose a room and make our trip happen. Molly is so knowledgeable of the layout and all the rooms at the Canoe Place Inn and cottages. We had a fabulous time! The rooms are so beautifully decorated and have all the amenities that you need... even a toothbrush holder!! We had a fireplace in the bathroom with a soaking tub.. it was magnificent! The designers put so much love and thought into every detail. Don't forget to go to the restaurant , The "Good Ground Tavern " at the Canoe Place Inn. Jack is the manager and he will find you a nice comfy seat next to the working fireplace or at the inviting friendly bar! Make sure you read about the history and look at the artifacts. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable! We are looking to go back sooner than later! Make sure you check this place out! Thank you again Molly! You are a great asset to this gorgeous Inn.
