Been going to Willy for years, his mechanics are great. I work on my stuff mainly myself but if something is over my head or if it's bad weather I just bring it to him, his guys are great and the shop is very fair and honest! It's by far the best shop around..
Made an appointment as I needed (1) an oil change, (2) had uneven tire wear and (3) too much play in steering. Arrived very early in the morning, just as they were opening. Didn’t hear from them all day. Finally went in to the shop at 4:30pm and was told I needed a new differential. I knew this to be incorrect, paid the ridiculous price for the oil change ($135) and incorrect diagnosis ($135), and left. The mechanic and his assistant spoke zero English. The receptionist speaks English but I had no confidence in the translation. A few days later I took it to a close friend’s trusted mechanic and got a *correct* diagnosis of worn out flanges on both front axles, AND confirmation that my differential was *perfectly fine*. So, either the mechanic just misdiagnosed due to error or ignorance OR he was trying to take advantage of me. Either way, I feel ripped off and won’t ever darken their doorway again. Vergonzoso!
This place is great. If you're looking for an honest mechanic, this is the place to go. Willy and his team are excellent. I had some issues with my car, and Willy called me to stop by so he could show me what was wrong and explain it to me. Hands down the best mechanic on Long Island.
I went in for an oil change without scheduling ahead, and they still managed to care of me quickly, even though they were busy. The staff was professional and courteous, especially the young lady at the front desk who answered all my questions. Great experience—I highly recommend!
I am very unhappy. This was the first time I visited and they tried to charge me $70 to patch my tire on my Acura. I honestly think they are a ripe off. Be careful and get second opinions on the price that they give you.The one thing I won’t do is go back in forth with you. I work in Hampton Bays also just so you know and trust me I always tell the truth about everything. Obviously you wasn’t there so you don’t know. Now have a wonderful evening.

I just had my son's car in for an oil change and a had a little snafu about getting there to pick it up before closing, but when we arrived, Franklin reopened the shop to take out payment information and give us the car, even though he was driving away when we arrived. I'm grateful for that kindness (my son won't be late for his first day of work now!) and always for Willy's excellence and friendliness.
This is the only auto shop you need to know.
This transaction took place in January, sorry for the delayed review.....Brought a used car in to Frankin, asked for his evaluation, telling him I needed to drive it to Florida. He was honest, transparent, and thorough. The car needed steering components, which I knew, and he was able to repair everything in one business day. He and his staff are the epitome of professionalism, and great to deal with. I recommend them highly, a great mechanic and staff is a very rare thing...Thank you !!
The worst experience ive ever had..i brought my work van in for an inspection,not only did i wait over an hour but they told me a laundry list of things wrong with my van that dont exist then had the balls to charge me for my inspection that they failed...i wonder how many people they scammed with all there false repairs...and to top it off they barely spoke any english..i feel bad for the people who fall victim to these automotive scammers...

Willy’s Repair Shop was highly recommended to me as a reliable, affordable & safe place to bring my car. I called & spoke to Franklin, he couldn’t have been nicer & more helpful. He immediately helped me with my car tire & refused to charge me. I will definitely go back to Willy’s Repair Shop again & I will recommend Franklin & his business to others. So very grateful for his help. Thank you!
Although it took them a long time to fix the problem. If you encounter problems here, please contact the owner as soon as possible. They will solve the problem for you. They are friendly and responsible! And the car is looks good now!
Very great experience, they were a little busy when I went in first thing in the morning but were able to fit me in to plug my tire a little later, went back and was pretty quick, 2 nails pulled & plugged and they had me rolling out and in my way. Very friendly and professional, fair pricing. Would definitely recommend.

Pricing is fair and itemized, workmanship is high quality with attention to detail, and they’ve been great in getting repairs done quickly when it’s an emergency. We had such an incredible experience at Willys! We were in town for a wedding and 3 hours from our home in NJ. Our car broke down and needed to get home asap to our 3 year old daughter. They called everywhere and picked up a much needed part to take care of our car righr away. They remained in complete communication with me the entire time. Super grateful for their expertise and help!! We were on the road only a few hours after originally planned.
Stayed open to help us with an emergency repair on an extremely hot Saturday. Saved us a ton of money and excellent, friendly service. Thanks to the whole team at Willy’s!
This is my first time using Willie’s, but I’m glad I did. It’s difficult to find a local auto shop that I trust and is affordable. Franklin made sure that both tire issues were properly fixed and he explained it all too me. Jenny at the front desk is really nice and accommodating. I will definitely go back.

Attention, Willie's is tricky to find because it is on an unamed road right off Ponquogue ave. The road runs parallel to the tracks on the south side!
I called Willie during the week in need of an inspection. There Saturday hours make this very convenient. I made an appointment for 9 a.m.
I came in this morning at 9:02 am and an now sitting in my car writing this review at 9:38. That in itself is just awesome because let me tell you, they are packed with work, many cars, and he got me in and out really fast.
Willie's does all types of auto repair, service so no need to list them. So if you live in the area, don't hesitate to see Willie for your next service. I will call when due for an oil change, maybe pass on the JLube.... if you know what I mean.

They will fail your inspection for anything in a grey area as with almost worn tires and dirty wipers that "dont work". I've had friends go here with the same experience. I don't recommend
Franklin at Willy’s Repair Shop is an angel on earth. He was such a lifesaver this weekend when our car broken down only 1 hour before they were scheduled to close for the long weekend. It looked like we were going to be stranded in the Hamptons all week until shops reopened and the part came in, but Franklin went above and beyond to track the part down and keep the shop open late for us, sacrificing his own holiday weekend to get our car fixed within mere hours. We were really touched and so appreciative especially in comparison to the Acura dealerships we called who basically told us we were on our own. They were also kind enough to give us a ride back to our Airbnb while we waited. On top of all of that they did a great job and price was reasonable. THANK YOU FRANKLIN!!
Willy's Repair Shop is above average. Professional and Honest. Gets the job done and at good price. Friendly service. We are very appreciative and happy we found Willy's auto repair. Gem among stones, imo.
My service at Willy’s could not have been better. It’s hard to find an honest, good mechanic out East. I’ve used him several times and find the business professional and honest. I would recommend.
They are so accommodating. I called in the am for an inspection and they took my car the same day. I was in and out in 1/2 hour. I will use them again and refer them to others.
