I can’t believe the aggressive behavior of the young man that was responsible for taking our returnable items. Firstly, I had about 10 bags, from over the winter. He was offended and started tossing water bottles to the side saying “I can’t take them like that”! They were crushed a little so I didn’t waste so many plastic bags. I was with my daughter so, as she emptied bags, I continued to reshape the bottles per his request. Mind you no one had come in until the last bag. He than proceeded to aggressively slide the rest of my squished bottles over with my hand in said items & proceeded to take care of another customer with kindness and told me I could take my bottles and come back! Do you honestly think I’ll be back!? No, I’ll drive to geneseo were I had usually went before moving to Avon! I’m sorry that you may not like your job and we all have bad days but, don’t take that out on people creating your job and certainly a little kindness goes a long way! Really sad because every other time I’ve been there, the gentleman have been friendly and courteous. I’ve even donated all my returns. Sadly, you’ve lost yet another customer…

I’ve been going here for a while now and have had good experiences every time. Staff has been friendly and efficient. It is hard to find a bottle and can return place that is conveniently located, has friendly staff and has consistent hours. This has become my go to place. Highly recommend!
This place has become a major disappointment. The owner has progressively gotten more stingy and there seems to be more unprofessional workers lately. I've been coming here since their grand opening so I've watched the slow degradation.
They were not open on the 6th so I came in the next day with hopes they would understand the situation and I could get the $.06 pricing that they do "6 on the 6th". That's not what went down.
Red Flags:
1) Not helping to open the door as clearly hands are full.
2) Couldn't respond to me after I greeted the worker.
3) Ripped me off out of $5.36 by not giving me the extra penny price. (According to the worker on shift they do the promotional pricing the day before)...Not sure where a customer would find that info the day they are closed...not like someone's going to answer the phone. To the best of my knowledge it's not mentioned on their website either, but ok.
4) After informing the worker that I'm "getting screwed out of $5.36", He proceeds to say "Its not my money so..." And smirks.
5) Most irritating part? I couldn't get my cans and bottles back to go elsewhere or simply come back...next month nor did the worker offer to contact management to approve the price adjustment.
In hindsight, yeah my bad, I should have just gone somewhere else that exclusively offers $.06 as supporting this local business doesn't yield pleasurable experiences anymore, or I should have been a more proactive customer given their lack of transparency. If you don't care about the extra penny for your cans then whatever. It's better than putting them manually into a machine one by one. But if you can get 20% more why wouldn't you?
