Toad Harbor Fishing Access Site - NY State DEC in
West Monroe Township (NY)

This is the second time that I come here. I am giving it four ⭐️’s because the little dock is nice. And the acces for small canoes and inflatable boats to get to the main lake is adequate and convenient. But as far as catching anything from the dock, not so much. I didn’t get a single bite, even with different bait. Other people had the same luck, with all kinds of bait. Very peaceful spot.

Maybe it's better earlier in the summer, but over half the water was covered in algae making it hard to fish. The trail around the far side wasn't too bad, but overgrowth made some spots hard to traverse. Lots of bugs and potentially poison ivy. I didn't see any , but there was a sign warning of its existence there.

Not a bad launch for kayak, canoe, or small Row boat. Mosquito city. Very shallow but easy way to get you to the lake quickly.

Good launch site with access to creeks feeding the lake.

pretty nice access for fishing. easy to get to dock, and adequate trails around the water. have yet to catch anything but that's on me, I wasn't very good when I went, but I'd be willing to go back, because there are definitely fish

Amazing place to not catch anything ever! Saw a huge water snake. 100% chance to catch only seaweed

Is a great place o fish.oneida lake i grew up on.but for the chineese group that all leftand left there trash and mask ganging in trees was disrespectfull.agian ever buddy.please do not pollute r lakes and ruin r fishing. Very sad!

Fish no bite

Decent launch could be better if it was wider and not as steep. Also a porta-potty would be nice.

Just a beautiful place to try a little fishing and observe the scenery.

This is a beautiful spot to fish and just chill and forget about life for a little bit

Beautiful little place. Didn't catch any fish though. Too much cottonwood in the water. Too many mosquitos.

Fishings alright, but the mosquitos are horrible. Better bring some good repellent

Wonderful at access point really good for Crappie and walleyes in the early spring great. Duck hunting in the fall

I targeted crappie today and wasn't disappointed. Great spot to fish.

Floating spikes about 3 feet down, can catch northern, chains, perch, and crappie.

Wish there was a port a potty. Otherwise nice place for fishing.

Been going here for a very long time! Absolutely love fishing here with my family and friends!

Great place to fish nice quiet

Great parking, easy in and out for the kyaks, nice but limited back water access and good access to eastern Big bay and the north shore bays of western Oneida lake

Great little fishing spot Sally dirty at times because people don't understand the concept of: "If you carry it in, you must carry it out."
