Advance auto in Oswego ny is rude to there customers don't exchange parts that are defective and under warranty. Also had the receipt. Tells one person one thing and than you go to the store and get told something different. When you tell them you need the part exchanged cause there part is faulty they tell you it's not there part it's your car. Don't waste your time or your money at this store. There employees and there managers don't even know how to do there job and have to call someone else in order to do something. When a starter starts smoking from it usually that means it's bad but apparently the starters good and now out $120 cause they are rude and refuse to exchange it.

Most of the staff is super helpful, how ever few months ago I ordered a transmission filter kit guy said one week and he'll call when it's in, they never shipped it and never tried, least I didn't need it

We called this store 4 times THIS MORNING and not only were we hung up on TWICE, they swore at us, and then told us wrong information. We needed a part which was listed on their site as available and instead of looking for said part, they told us we had to replace the entire drive shaft, which isn't the case. Needless to say, we called their partner store and they had the part and even said we could come look at it before purchase. Thank you!

A great big thank you! I wish I could remember the names of the wonderful young women who helped me in the afternoon of Feb 4. I brought in my father’s dead car battery, ready to purchase a replacement. They identified it as an AAP brand (I didn’t know, it was a coincidence to me) that was probably under warranty but sold through Cole, who would have to handle the replacement. They checked to see that Cole was still open at that hour and I was on my way. I feel bad they didn’t make a sale but they couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you!

Got a flat tire while in the area to attend the Sterling renaissance festival when my cat received a flat tire. Not at the festival, but at the campground I was staying at. I recommend you attend the festival if you haven’t gone at least once. It is a great time. Anyway, my friend drove us nearby 30 minutes so I could get parts/tools and advice about what I could do to stop the tire from leaking more. We arrived about 45 minutes before the closing time which was posted on the door as 9pm, as well as on the internet as 9pm. The lights were on, however, the door was locked and no employees were inside the building. We knocked on the door and the window for about 10 minutes and called the store twice, and no one answered. This endeavor was fruitless and a significant waste of time, energy, and gas (which is currently almost 5 dollars per gallon). I recommend traveling further up the road to the autozone or walmart to get anything you may need for your vehicles if you are in need at a later hour.

I ask to check my battery and he screams “FOR”in broken English. I didn’t understand him at first. He then says “for what vehicle” in a slow condescending manner while rolling his eyes. Then sarcastically says it takes too much time to change it while employees are just standing around. Turns out to be the manager on his shirt! Well you just lost a customer with 9 vehicles. As I’m leaving I remembered him from steamers always loud and obnoxious while getting free drinks from his son bartender. Typical drunk who’s miserable until that first drink of the day!! Steve

The manager of the Oswego location , Louis, has the best customer service ! He goes above and beyond to help me with any needs I have for my vehicle ! He is simply the best . Customer service 5 stars !!

Ok, clerk was quite arrogant and advised me to not follow my car makers recommendations for oil type,which I did not follow, definitely not the store it used be,hope they get better

Very rude customer service went in there with check engine light on I asked him can they do a scan they said no you can do it yourself he said. Come back when you get a code came back and he told me to Google it

Bad Corp policy. Obvious purchase from the organization. Item is defective under warranty and the store will not honor warranty because it did no come from this store. Replace their defective battery from another auto parts store.

Good inventory and customer service, pricing on parts I think is a little higher than some other local auto parts store. The counter guys really do a good job in store and on the phone. Good location & easy parking, They are very good about recycling used motor oil. Overall very satisfied.

I was shopping around for a new battery for my car. I spoke to the store clerk and he advised me to go online and purchase the battery from the advanced Auto website instead, because when you make an online account they give you a 20% off coupon code. So I made the purchase online and picked the battery up at the store. It took only a minute for them to retrieve my order and I was on my way with my new battery. That 20% off made them the cheapest out of all the other local auto parts stores.

Such a pleasant experience! Came in the store and was immediately assisted. The employees were so helpful and helped me get to the bottom of my issue quickly. Would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for any car assistance/parts - MUCH better than the Autozone in Oswego.

Store always has the parts I need and come I looking for. Pretty good personnel overall except for Darren. He is a disrespectful piece of garbage and I hope he gets fired for treating his customers so poorly.

Helped my college student daughter. Replaced her battery at no cost because it was under warranty even though it was not purchased at their store. Hope they enjoyed the pizza I gave as thanks while I was up for graduation.
