Poor experience with them. Difficult to schedule and then they totally took me for a ride and tried to fix extra things to drive up my bill. Stay away!

I started coming here after being ripped off by Freeman's Auto. I have spent my whole life in this business, and even knew the prior owners of Harriman Auto personally. Such a shame that they retired, but I'm happy for them. As far as Freemen's goes though, my experiences, and the experiences of my friends, has been poor to say the least. A&B is my new go-to when I can't handle it myself, and I recommend them whenever I'm asked for a good place to go in the area.

The individuals who run this shop have warm customer service; and a desire to explain work done to customers. Their pricing was fantastic- I spent $100 less than anticipated. I'll be taking my car here again for sure.

The mechanics here are completely incompetent. I brought my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee there 2 weeks ago because it was overheating. They replaced my thermostat with a really cheap one, which failed a week later. The mechanic also didn't fully diagnose the problem. I was having a flow issue with my water pump. I replaced the pump myself with the help of a friend and took my jeep pack to A&B, and I asked them to test the head gasket, do a block test, and replace the thermostat they installed. They didn't do any of that. All they did was take out the thermostat and tolled me it's not overheating now. So I had to go out and buy a quality thermostat and install it myself. In all, they charged $450 for parts and labor, and they didn't fix the issue I was having and removed the part they installed. So, I ended up fixing my overheating problem myself. If you want your vehicle fixed, don't bring to A&B the mechanic. There are all trash and will scam you out of your money. This place is a joke they're really blaming me because and I quote, " it's not our fault you didn't understand your own situation." It's literally their job to diagnose the problems with vehicle, and you didn't do your job, which is what I paid for. I hope you have a good time explaining yourself to New Yorks better business bureau because I definitely filed a complaint

The team at A&B has helped me with tire repair, installing new wipers and inspections. They are fast, knowledgeable, and overall a really nice group to work with. I will keep returning for all of my service needs.

They are very respectful and have good customer service, but prices are outrageous. Came in to get my radiator replaced they told me $800. I said no I’m going to take it somewhere else, I had to pay $167 just to get my car back. They charged me just to look at my car. I could have looked at it and found the problem, I took it to New Windsor to get fixed they charged me wayyyyy less only $290 to replace my radiator. Like I said very respectful but the prices are high way robbery.

Unpleasant experience made better by the awesome assistance and service we got! We were on the road for over two weeks with my husband. Already exhausted at that point, we ran in to some car trouble 6 hours from home. The car wouldn't start while we were coming thought New York state. We tried calling a few places to get toed, but no luck. We found a garage a few miles away and called. They gave us the number to a tow truck we could call and started looking for parts while we were waiting to get towed. The tow truck from Freeman's towing came very fast, and the guy was so nice! He said that he doesn't like to keep people waiting and that we were in good hands with A&B. Once at the garage, they tested the car and ordered the piece we needed, showed us places we could go while we were waiting. The car was worked on to get ready for the part when it arrives. The boss (i think) went to pick it up. Many rusted screws and bolts later, while fixing our initial problem, they found a piece that was holding the tire to be too loose and unsafe on both front wheels. We got the estimate for the work so far. And decided to go on and get it fixed as well. While unscrewing the piece, it broke in the mechanics hand! We were so lucky it was not on the road.. It could have broken off on the road costing us so much (could have cost us our lives had we lost control of the car). Once again the boss went to get the part we needed and came back super fast to finish fixing it. Everybody was so nice and wanted to get us back on the road as fast as they could. We were kept updated at every step!! While we were far, by phone, and when we came back we were shown all that was to be done! It was appreciated! (plus usually they show it just to the men, not much caring if the woman knows whats going on.. not here! so cool). Leaving they even asked yo keep them updated so they know we got home safe ♡ 9.20 broke down 10.06 called the tow truck 11.10 we were at the shop One problem and an extra safety hazard fixed and around 5pm we were back on the road! 6h later, Finally home SAFE and on the same day! If you ever have car trouble, hope its close to this place!

I pulled in this afternoon when my check engine (and pretty much every other warning) light came on. Even though it was close to closing and it was going to take a while for the car to cool down so they could work on it, the owner offered to staylate if needed to try to repair it. An hour and forty minutes later my car was back on the road and I was given advice in next steps. Very reasonable price!! Than you so much for staying late on a holiday weekend to help me out! Highly recommend this shop!

Can't be happier with the service at A&B! I called for an appointment for an inspection and to check a noise; I got one for the day I requested. Bruce took the car for a spin to hear the noise I was concerned about. I was in/out within a half hour and my pocketbook was happy. Everyone was friendly and I had a few laughs!

I Called for a simple oil change stated that I got new tires put on recently was hearing a noise coming from them. Could you possibly check that as well the gentleman then put the manager on he then stated to me that he wasn’t going to invest in any time in my vehicle to find out what the problem was that maybe it was because I had new tires put on and that he was overbooked I said so you’re not gonna tell me what the problem is in my vehicle he said no I’m not gonna invest in an hour of time I said OK I’ll take my vehicle elsewhere. The worst customer service I have ever had. SO RUDE! I’ll go to Freeman.

I go to rent uhauls for my job and are always so nice.. they even were nice enough to fix the leak in my tire while I had the uhaul. Good people!

Rip Off Bruce, Dishonest and bad customer Service. After taking both my Veh's & my son"s veh. to A&B automotive service for a few years now, I will NEVER return nor will I refer this business to anyone again. I guess times are tough where they feel its ok to take advantage of their regular customers. I take my car in for inspection, the mechanic before doing anything else or even hooking it up to the machine advises me that the back tires were bald & it will fail inspection. I stated ok, I will get it corrected and return, he said ok.. After waiting a couple more min's I ask for my car again, the owner, Bruce tells me, "we have to go through the motions". I ask him why. What I didn't understand is, why waste everyones time. The mechanic comes out & becomes argumentative and combative. I tell bruce this isn't good customer service and told him I won't be returning if this is how your business treats their customers. I told Bruce this is how you loose customers. Bruce didn't seem to care and felt comfortable & replied do whatever you want, don"t come back ! I was completely surprised. I should've known from the last time I was there, and was charged $900 for brakes, but let it go, & after having a small conversation with Bruce, all he could do was slander and bad mouth another near by auto Shop, Freemans, I'm assuming his competitor. I did advise Bruce I will be writing a negative review. Bruce did not like that, you can sense it in his tone. Businesses like this have to understand they mistreat and take advantage of their customers not only will they risk loosing them and anyone you had referred, but they will receive negative reviews in the hopes others will see and be fore warned. this business has definitely become shady to say the least.

Had my car inspected. Called same day, got an appointment. They were on time, courteous, friendly and helpful. Clean office. Staff friendly. Service was quick. Would recommend for NYS inspection. Will return in the future.

Called the shop to see how much a tire plug cost and the owner told me 10.50 . Once I got there his price changed. Then he had an attitude because I told him thats not what he said over phone. So I told him don't worry about it ill pay the 20 dollar he told his employee to give me back my car. Poor customer service

I had to pick up a U-haul to move to St. Louis and had some issues with U-haul’s scheduling software. Jeff and his father helped correct the issue for me and were able to revise my contract from another U-haul store to get me on the road. they went above and beyond to help me get what I needed and navigate the U-haul system. They were awesome and I would go back to them every time I needed to rent a trucks. Thanks to everyone there!

THANK YOU A & B Service! You were the ONLY service center that would even attempt to fix the tire for our craftsman tractor which was needed in this snow storm. Not only did you agree to try to fix it but you took me right away and got the job done in 30 min. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Excellent service!!!

I was in the area for the weekend and was having problems with my trunk that didn’t pop open no matter what buttons I pressed. On Sunday half the shops are closed so I came by here, the guy took my keys and pressed some buttons a couple times and... abracadabra it opens! I laughed sheepishly and gave the guy a small tip hoping I don’t come across as a stingy pig 🙈 Thanks for your service! I hope to come by next time when I have some actual business to give you and I’ll update this review accordingly 🙏

I called A&B Citgo at 9:30am to see when they could do an inspection and oil change for my car. They told me to bring it in at 11am and had it done by 12:30. All other places in the area that I called said they were booked for days. They also replaced my tale light and my license plate light. Very professional, polite, and honest. They don't have ridiculous prices like other places around the area. I recommend A&B Citgo to anyone needing any kind of work done!

I noticed last night that my inspection sticker was expired and I was due for an oil change in a few miles. With a busy weekend ahead I wouldn’t have much time to get it addressed. I called this morning and they not only squeezed me in for this afternoon but had me in and out with plenty of time to spare in order to get my son off the bus on time. Extremely nice people who went above and beyond to accommodate me, professional and prompt.

I have been going exclusively to A&B Citgo for more than 30 years. They not only give great service, but are kind, friendly guys willing to help you out in a pinch. My vehicles ranged from a Wankel engine sports car to sedans to trucks...and they kept all of them in great condition.

I was on the road far from home. They were amazing. Helped me right away. Got the part and did the repair and charged me what they should have. They were very HONEST. They could have charged me whatever as I was stranded away from home. I wish they were close to home so I could give them more business! Thank you!!

Excellent customer and auto service! I called to see if my exhaust could be looked at with no appointment. They told me to stop by, and three hours later my exhaust system was replaced with a new system and ready to go. I couldn't believe how quick they were able to turn it around. Everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful. I hope definitely recommend them to anyone in the area and I would go back if I ever have to get something repaired again.

I have known Bruce, Gary, Ron & the rest of the staff at A & B for years & I can tell you that they do good work at fair & honest prices. I would highly recommend A & B for your automotive repair needs.

I have been going here for several years and have not had any complaints. I use them for basic maintenance (oil change, tires, inspection). Not one of those places where every time you get inspected they find a bunch of things that need to be fixed.
