BRAKES BLOW UP: Do not trust your brakes with your kids in the car from Midas in Harriman, New York. Number years back I had a problem with them. The old manager of the business was pulling some shenanigans. David made good on the shenanigans. They replaced him with a gentleman that straightened things up and got the shop in shape. However, he left several months ago. I just spent a fortune on restoring my 2001 Ford f250 Super Duty. I took the truck to them for service. They informed me that my rear brakes needed to be worked on. I okayed the work. Less than 2 weeks later the brakes basically blew out. Luckily if I had my children in the truck, who know what could have happened. The the truck was picked up from my home and taken to a local tow company location. The company looked at the brakes indicating serious issue with workmanship. We ended up shipping it over to Midas so they put the caliber bolts back in because they blew out. They now claim that the differential is no good, the rod bent and the brakes were blown out. I was told by Joe that according to a meeting between him, David and Ollie that Midas was not responsible for $3,000 job they warranted. Only problem is when I had problems several years back. Ollie admitted to me after the fact. He admitted that he lied because he did what his boss told him to do. We Now Have The Same Story. The truck has been towed out of there and brought to a different repair shop. I have every intent on suing them under the warranty. We spend thousands of dollars every year at their shop. Number of people have already told me that our mechanics including Ford that was poor workmanship. In fact, who worked on the truck either one person or two story has changed. Joe accused the other shop of not have put the Piston bolts in in order to ship the truck originally to them. Story keeps changing.
Joe the manager at this site was very service and customer centric. He effectively managed the process to keep the quoted price for the service in track. Additionally the mechanica working on my vehicle did an exceptional job on a car which has been driven 200,000 miles. Thank you

Shaka from meinekie referred me to midas to see Joe to have parts i purchased put on my car (spark plugs and igniter coil) for great/fair pricing! Joe is the reason I will return although my visit went so left! He welcomed me with such professionalism and was very friendly and informative step by step. My car was dropped off during the 1st set of snow we got before the blizzard and Joe was very accommodating to me while we got snowed in during service, great conversationalist and even took me to get something to eat and drink while waiting and recommended a show to watch which i am now benge watching lol. When it was determined the work could not be finished in a timely fashion Joe got someone to drop me home..talk about above and beyond customer service! I was kept in the loop during every step of the process concerning my car and once the issue was finally resolved Joe allowed space for my frustration while remaining professional (since I was without my car for a few days). Joe is the epitome of customer service while being professional and he will stop at nothing to resolve any issues that may arrive to ensure you as the customer are satisfied!
I gave 4 stars and not 5 because I was without my car for those days but I can attest I will return for service because I was treated respectfully, professionally and fairly! Thank you Joe for making a "left" experience go RIGHT! You want service with people who are not only workers but are customers as well and treat you as such go to this location and look FOR JOE!
The Midas team was very professional, honest and courteous, especially Management, Joe. They cared about helping me get back into my vehicle and assured that all was being done to complete it on time. We had a knock sensor done, not a regular task. It was accomplished quickly and with a reasonable price. This was my first visit and I will definitely use them again.

The battery light turned on on my dashboard on december 31st. I had my car towed over to this Midas location tht morning. Joe helped me from beginning to end. He sent me a detailed diagnostic of my car which included photos and priority levels. He informed me of all my financial options as well. I ended up getting a new battery new alternator and new tires ( i was advised for safety reasons it was best to get a new set , this was supported by a photo of my bald tire) and he even topped off my fluids. By 6pm that same day I was driving my car off his lot as good as new. Im new to the area and it had to be fate to find such a wonderful mechanic short notice and on a holiday. Im ever so grateful and will certainly be back. If you're looking for a mechanic then JOE is your guy! He was well informed and his experience shows.
Joe and his crew are THE shop to go to when you need an honest diagnosis. The first time I went there I had issues with another mechanic who basically screwed me and left me riddled with anxiety.. Joe eased my mind/anxiety and cleaned up the mess from the former mechanic. I’m forever thankful for their services.. just made my annual visit for my inspection and again I received amazing customer service and honesty. #teammidasmonroe
I have made this Midas location my go-to mechanic. I really like their new manager, Joe - his customer service is phenomenal. I appreciate that their services are fast and usually same day. First service from them was due to an emergency tow to their location after damaging my Honda pilot's driveshaft transfer case. 2nd service was to replace the struts and linkages (I scheduled the appointment only a day before and it was done the next day!). I think their prices are reasonable and overall my experience with them has been a great source of relief when dealing with car troubles.
Once again Joey went above and beyond to bring my equinox back to life. Due to my 90$ neglect it turned into a 2,500$+ problem that Joey was very helpful and informative to get my suv running like new again. I appreciate him and his team beyond words.
Joey is very detail oriented when discussing the problems and the solutions. Joey is also great with his approach to get things accomplished without a panic attack from me. Joey will remain my mechanic no matter his location.
I had a wonderful 1st time experience at the Midas in Harriman! I went in for a bit of work that ended up being extremely costly, and quite an unexpected expense I might add. John took it upon himself to contact the District Manager to attempt to get me some discounts in order to make the bill a bit more manageable and it was approved! I was extremely impressed and very appreciative! Thank u for exceptional service John! I will definitely be coming back!
I believe his name was Joe…he was very helpful, very friendly and talked in a very professional manner. Many people I at business will try almost forcing you into a guilt trip to getting services done and what not. He was up front about some issues my car had, I told him that would like to get them done but I couldn’t. He didn’t push it, but he did offer finance options for my repairs and I greatly appreciated it. Definitely seemed like an honest guy
I came into the facility due to a check engine light, and was informed of an issue that required a thermostat replacement. All of my questions and concerns were promptly addressed. The team was professional and courteous. I will definitely return when I require service in the future.

In my opinion they are over-priced but it was a necessity for safety so it had to be done. He informed me about the progress every step of the way. Truly one of a kind! I was towed to this Midas location as a result of an accident on 87. The front tire and rim came off the car, which we suspect was a result of someone tampering with our car while it was parked in Philadelphia. Fortunately, my wife and I and two grandkids were no injured and no other vehicles were involved in the accident, since I was able to drive the vehicle onto the shoulder, despite a wheel being gone. The wheel ended up 1/4 mile down the road in the center median. In any case, the tow truck driver recommended this Midas shop since he found them to be fair, honest and reasonable and he also thought they could work on the car as quickly as possible. John, the store manager was very helpful and ordered the parts needed for the repair, which was significant. The next day they were able to make virtually all repairs except for a linkage that needed to be replaced once the repairs were underway. He ordered that part for arrival early the next morning. John was out on the day the repairs were completed, but he alerted us to that fact in advance and passed all of the information and details to Joe, who completed the process. Joe was also very helpful and compassionate. I was back on the road by 11am with a repaired vehicle (except for body damage to the wheel well that will need to be handled by a body shop). The bottom-line is that this Midas shop solved a very difficult problem in a very professional and caring manner. The staff are a pleasure to work with and are honest and helpful and caring. I am extremely satisfied with the work done and would highly recommend this shop to others.
I had a great experience with John and his crew at Midas. I had to make an emergency stop at this location on my way to a trip. This team was very accommodating and extremely kind to my situation. I had stopped due to my temperature light warning me, and another repair shop in the area telling me that i shouldn’t drive my vehicle as it was too dangerous to drive. I went to this Midas for this original problem which they fixed beautifully, but they also helped me identify another problem caused by another repair shop. I appreciate their honest work and their kindness during this difficult moment, and not charging me extra for tears lol.

I was able to call and make an appointment during a tight work window, and they got my car repaired and ready well ahead of a long road trip. The staff were direct, friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly considerate of both my vehicle and my time. I really appreciated how smooth and efficient the whole process was—highly recommend!
