Don't go that often but when I had to this Used to be my favorite yard the prices Used to be good but now it looks like there almost double I can see raising the price of the labor for them to pull the parts for you but it's crazy how much there charging now to bad it seems to have gone corporate and cost the same amount as my local yard that pulls the parts for you
They were amazing! Picked up both cars i wanted to sell them at the same time, then paid me cash. And a great value for them too. I didnt hardly have to lift a finger except to sign papers and take the money they handed me. I tell you what, it Would have been more effort for me if id just left the cars to sit in my yard and rot. Amazing people, great prices!
I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. First off, the prices are absolutely outrageous. I get that it’s a junkyard, but I’ve been to others where I actually felt like I was getting a decent deal. Here? Not a chance. Everything is marked up to the point where you’re better off buying brand new from a store.
The real kicker, though, is the staff. I've never been treated with such indifference. The employees here are rude, unhelpful, and don't care about what you need. I tried asking a few simple questions about parts I was looking for, and they just shrugged me off and gave me this attitude like, “It is what it is, if you don’t like it, then leave.” That's literally the vibe I got—no effort to help, just a “take it or leave it” mentality.
I don’t know how they stay in business with that approach. If you’re looking for decent customer service and reasonable prices, save your time and head elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs.
I had a car that I was looking to get rid of. The car had no value. I called and they were great. The process was very easy. They took my information came and picked up the car and I went in later that afternoon to sign over the title and they paid cash. I would highly recommend them!!
We sold our junk vehicle through a third party company who worked with Fenix U-Pull to pick up the vehicle and junk it. It was initially difficult to get in touch with someone to schedule a pick-up time, but once we did the process was very quick and smooth. They picked up the vehicle, we went to the office and signed some paperwork, and we were paid in cash then and there. The staff in the office were friendly and we'd do business with them in the future.
They had a power steering rack for my 2015 silverado that was a very high demand part. The transaction went pretty smooth. Thought it was a bit over priced tho. And they hit that part with a $300 core charge as well. It seems to be working as it should but we'll see once we reset the codes if it still throws codes for steering assist.
They need to work on their pricing for a junkyard bc a lot of their prices (for my truck at least) are the same cost as new or remanufatured parts so please payattention to that. Check ebay and other sites first. For a last resort they will have the parts but you're gonna pay same cost as new or reman parts.
I would recommend if they got their prices into a more reasonable range bc they are a junkyard and the parts are as such. From a junkyard. Just do your research and shop around first and foremost !
Their body panel parts are actually higher than brand new which is absolutely ridiculous.
Go to Wiberts pick and pull if you can for your parts. You'll save a ton of money. Fenix is way way over priced !!! They're 7X higher than most places. They forgot they're a JUNK YARD !!
Not a fan of the new ownership. All kinds of new bullshit fees. Pretty irritated that the cashier gal charged me for the extra warranty on every piece I bought without asking me if I wanted any of it. I don't need a 6 month warranty for an ash tray. And why is there a core charge for everything? There's an entrance fee now. And an environmental fee?
Horseheads pick-a-part used to be the best yard in the southern tier. It's sad to see another great business completely ruined by another corporation.

This is no longer a deal. The charge for a used tire is almost as much as a new one. Most everything has doubled in price since they were bought out. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Very rude!! Whatever you do don't go by their prices online. When you get there the price is about 40 higher you can go buy new parts at their prices. The lady who was working the desk just yells numbers and acts all rude. Save your money an buy new.
Best junkyard I've been to in a long time. The only part I didn't like was not knowing how much everything was going to cost until after I got to the door and had it removed from the cars. I'd like to have a general idea of how much it's going to cost for the things I'm going to look for and spend the time to take out.
Called on a Thursday 8/24 to have a part pulled and was told I would be called the next day. Waited several days and on Monday called to ask about part and was told it was severely rotted and not useable. I own a garage locally and was relying on that part. For them not to call is extremely unprofessional. Probably won’t receive much business from my way anymore.
I was looking for somewhere to sell my 2006 highlander that was in just ok shape and still ran (but not reliably). After some dead ends and low offers, I contacted Gary’s U Pull It and they gave me a more reasonable offer, and even said they’d send someone to tow my car to this Horseheads location (a 45 minute drive from my house) for no charge! I wasn’t available to drive to their office for 6 days after they picked up my car, but they were fine with holding it and waiting. I was a little nervous because we only ever had a verbal agreement over the phone and I had no written paperwork to back it up, but it turns out I shouldn’t have been worried at all! I showed up and within MINUTES they sorted through the paperwork, had me sign a few things, and handed me the cash we had verbally agreed upon for my car. This process literally couldn’t have been easier!
This place is a gold mine of parts. Lots of cars to pull from. We were only looking to replace a torn throttle body gasket and they gave us a list of 3 cars to check and found what we needed on the first one we checked. All I needed was a screwdriver which I took with me.
There was a lot of space to place new parts cars. I've been going here for a long time but it's been a while, and now they charge $2 to get in but I think that gets applied to your part purchase on the way out. You sign in prior to entry to the yard. No one under 16 allowed. They buy cars too. You can pull the part or they can for a fee.

The employees were very helpful and was greatly priced for selling your vehicle to them. I'm very pleased with their prices and their courtesy. I definitely reccomend them to anyone who needs to sell their old vehicles for scrap or to buy parts.
Great people! Very helpful too. You can pick and pull your own parts and they buy cars in cash. Yard is also reasonably clean compared to alot of parts yards with plenty of options that meets your needs. They sell used tires and batteries as well.
Terrible service. I asked the counter staff to turn up the heat.. they had the audacity to say no!!! Then proceeded to tell me he had no control of the temperature outside.!!

Best junkyard ever! Seriously! This place is absolutely amazing! The website is extremely easy to use which is usually hard when it comes to junkyards. Whoever created and edits the website did/does a stellar job! Last Friday was my first visit. I came from Williamsport, Pa. I drove 1-1/2 hours. Staff was very friendly when I entered. Made me feel welcome and helped me locate my vehicles. 2$ entrance fee. They have wheelbarrows ready to use for whoever needs, free of charge. Every row is organized and easy to navigate. I got a lot of parts but held myself back because I thought I was going to pay a lot. I was expecting them to say $200 but my total was only 46$ for a ton of stuff!! They also have weekly specials which is exciting as a costumer. Whoever manages this place does a perfect job! Honestly, this is the most fair and professional yard I’ve ever been to. I’ll be a regular costumer! Love it! Keep up the great work!
Pretty much exactly what you'd expect and hope for out of a part yard. Plenty of people to help. They were very friendly, explained how it worked since it was my first time and I saved big bucks on some rims.
Only down side is there's no tools supplied but as long as you know that and come prepared you won't have any issues. They even conveniently have a limited supply of sockets and such available for purchase if you forget (which luckily I didn't).
I haven't used the service but the parts picker service sounds nice if you're looking for something specific.
I have been coming to Pic a Part since 1992 literally. I went there today. By the time I left, I had my mind made up to never come here again. The reason why is because they now charge a $2.00 yard entry fee. I can easily go to another yard that does NOT charge a fee to walk in. Pic a Part needs to get rid of that fee. Stuff like that ruins businesses.
Good place to get used parts if you fix your own cars. I made out good. Brand new looking muffler and tailpipe and a thermal resistor for my AC/heater blower motor for my beater vehicle....$30.00. Can't beat that
Pick-A-Part has a very good selection and curious staff. My only complaint is that they need longer hours on Saturday and be open on Sunday. They were prompt in notifing me of a new vehicle added to the yard which allowed me to have $70 by going to get the part (taillight) I needed. Only caution I would give anyone going out, make sure you have good footwear (boots would be best) and expect to get muddy if it had rained in the past few days.

I don't go often, but the people that interface with customers are almost unexpectedly amazing, fantastic, nice, very helpful and knowledgeable. The yard is very organized.
Easy to find the vehicle you're looking for with the map....and I wrote this review before reading other reviews which confirm my observations about the employees.
Well organized. Very helpful staff. Row52 app is quite useful. But prices are a touch high for a junkyard, and longer Saturday hours would be nice. I don't go anywhere else anymore.
