I CANT say enough about this repair shop…if I could give 10 stars I would! Short story long. Passing through NY to Massachusetts (500 miles further)… stayed at local hotel. Discovered my water pump had failed, all over the parking lot the next morning. Called D&F, and pleaded my case. Dave Moch, service manager told me to bring it in. Didn’t promise anything, but wedged me in at about 10 am. After checking, told me EXACTLY what the problem was, and got the parts. I suggested some additional repairs, but after checking said that there was nothing wrong with the existing parts. 4 hours later I was back on the road. He was also able to get me a lug wrench (just in case) for my American Racing rims that was missing from my emergency repair kit. Sam Pucciarelli the other manager arrived in the afternoon and was equally accommodating! I was in a tough situation and they made me feel at home, like a trusted friend was performing the job. AMAZING!

Great service! My wife brought her car there to get checked out for a noise and they were very accommodating, affordable and provided excellent service. Highly recommended!

Went in to get service done. Owner was very rude to customers as well as his employees. Charged me for work that wasn’t preformed. Very dishonest and misleading. I don’t recommend taking your vehicle here under any circumstances.

Took my daughter's car in. She likes them. They found the problem, and she made an appointment for next week to get it fixed.

I have only positive things to say about D & F Auto. They always manage to squeeze me in for an appointment whenever I have what is an emergency for me.. Tony is the best! D & F Auto rocks!

The people at D&F are super honest and work fast. When it came time to pay, it was actually cheaper than what they had originally quoted me, which never happens at a mechanic!! They seem to be very busy, which to me signifies a good, honest mechanic. They even gave me a ride when it was going to take longer than I anticipated. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to call them at the end of the day to find out if the car was ready or not. They never called like they said they would. I also noticed the next day that they never changed my oil change sticker and fixed the "change oil" light on my dashboard. Like I said, they are busy and getting cars in and out fast, but little details like that make me wonder if I actually got an oil change, even though I was charged for it. All in all, I will bring my car back in the future, but I will be more on top of the details.

Since I've moved out to Fredonia in 2019, I was pleasantly surprised to find a mechanic that is not only reliable, but will not push for any "unnecessary" repairs that has become commonplace. The cost is on par with other mechanics in the area (not cheap, but not expensive either). The communication with the place is great; you're never going to feel ignored and they'll work with you if you have to leave the car overnight (although there is a fee if you leave your car there for longer than a single night). Probably the only complaint is the location is pretty tight, but there is a car wash next door and a slight opening you can pull through there. I have no issues ever going here for repairs. I know there was a previous reputation that was negative, but I can safely confirm this isn't the case anymore in 2023. They work on all kinds of cars. They've worked on my Suburu and a Toyota I brought in. If they're booked out, they will let you know right away and let you know about their next available openings.

I've used this business for years, back when it was Midas up until now. I have noticed the service going down hill but they were always so reputable and helpful I let it slide because it wasn't anything major. I've done full break work, exhaust work, bought brand new tires more then once, my regular oil changes, inspections. Pretty much anything I've needed for the past 10 years. I've always recommended them to people. Again, I've noticed quality has gone down hill but stuck with them. Well not any more. I called to schedule my regular oil change and the owner answered. I wanted to do it the following Sat. He said they don't do Sat anymore so I asked what their latest hours during the week are. He said 5. I said ohhhhh as in "hummm what should I do? What will work best" but before I got any further in my thinking the owner mocks me and says "ohhh poor you". Yup that's it. The guy is usually rough and you have to take his "humor" with a grain of salt but I'm done. The service has been getting worse and worse now the customer service has gone too far down hill. It's not worth it any more. I give 2 stars instead one 1 because they USED TO BE very good.

Stellar experience. The owner went above and beyond bringing me back to my hotel after finding space on a weekend to solve my car’s default. Just traveling through. Prices were reasonable. Questions answered without hesitation. They really know their way around a car :)

Great service and even better people I blew my turbo boot off and couldn't get to it because it was on bottom of car brought it in and they got it done in less than 10 minutes before my next class I highly recommend D & F

Overpriced and charged me for work they never even completed! Then put me on a two week waiting period just to get the free work done that they already charged me for. ..... Then when I went to leave they wanted me to pay for it a second time!!? What a joke this place is. Save yourself a headache..... Don't go here!

These men are life savers! Our van broke down half way to our vacation and they came out fixed us up and had us back on road so fast. The owner personally drove us to shop and treated my whole family with respect and brought back the excitement for the trip!!! Recommend very highly to do business with D&F!!!

My truck died on the highway and the crew here made room to check the vehicle out and get me on the road again ASAP. Would definitely recommend!!

Great staff, one of the very few places that will try to save you money if they can I needed a part replaced and they said they could replace it but the housing might be to rusted to hold the new part they told me this before they did it just incase I had to replace the housing for the part usually quick to get my vehicle in and get the work done fast I won't go anywhere else till they give me a reason to I've gotten work done a few times here and I've called around to get quotes and there usually the cheapest

I drive about 60 miles, round trip- to and from work each day. I have used D & F in the past for general maintenance, but on this particular day I was in need of a mechanic immediately. Without hesitation, they told me to bring my car in for the repair immediately. I have dealt with many mechanics in the past, and D & F didn't seem irritated to squeeze me in and even took the time to explain to me what I needed to do in the future- which I was not used to! As long as I'm working in Dunkirk, NY- they will always have my business. They made a very stressful day much better! Thank you for your outstanding customer service and prompt repairs, D & F! It is much, much appreciated!

I've taken my cars everywhere around Fredonia and Dunkirk area. By far D&F is best the place to take your car for any repairs or maintenance. The customer service is excellent. They will go above and beyond to take care of your needs.They will even show you whats wrong with your car. I will never take my car anywhere else but here. Thank you guys!!!

My father in law has been taking his vehicles to D & F for as long and i can remember. When I married into the family, this is where I started to take my vehicle. Every oil change, every tire rotation, every time I needed them, they were professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I trust them with every inch of my vehicle. I try not to go anywhere else! (only if I am late on making an appointment and they are too full to accommodate-shameful I know :)- Recommend them to everyone I know!

Love them! As a girl everyone is always trying to scam me a fail to them I actually know about cars 😂 d&f have always been my go to for all my car services! They personally show you what is wrong with your car instead of giving you a list of nonsense. I asked for a full tune up on my car which would have given them a wide range to talk me into stuff I don't need. Instead they told me everything looked great I just needed a $12 spark plugs which they also showed me to prove it was way past it's expiration. I highly recommend them.

Hats off to the people at D & F I am from Canada while on vacation had serious engine problem, long story short, the didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and went out of there way to accommodate me , my wife and my 3 large dogs, How refreshing to fine an honest garage that puts people and service ahead of profit .

I was told but another shop I needed brakes. I brought my car to D& F Auto, and they were honest and told me I didn't need them yet. I appreciate their honesty and will go back when I do need them replaced.
