After having a BAD experience trying to buy a truck at a different dealership, that went on for a month, my son and I ended up here. He saw a truck that matched what he was looking for on their website, did a test drive, and got everything signed that day. Hassib was very fair when negotiating pricing and got it to where he could afford to buy. Had the vehicle ready when they promised. The next day he had a small issue with the rear sliding window and they took care of it in minutes, no charge. The process was smooth and easy and my son feels great about the whole experience. Definitely recommend.
We have had nothing but issues with the vehicles purchased from this dealership. Two were purchased within a few weeks of each other, and at the time I would have written a great review about the transaction, but I decided to wait a few months and can no longer leave a positive review. Both the vehicles have had numerous problems since about a month after purchasing. We purchased the warranty that was recommended and that, along with the service department, has been a joke. I've lost count of how many times the vehicles have had to be towed back for service with the supposed repairs not resulting in fixing the problem. We finally were fed up and took it to our own mechanic who was able to fix the one issue within a few hours. But of course, a few months after that, more issues. I would chalk it up to perhaps a car being a lemon, but not when wo vehicles were purchased and both have the same issues of mechanical problems unresolved with their repair department. They don't appear to know what they're doing and I would not trust any vehicles at this dealership. Numerous calls have been placed to the owner and no resolution has been made; we are just told to have the car towed into the service department, wait a few weeks, told it's fixed, and sent on our way, only to have the issues recur. I spoke with a friend who had purchased a vehicle here years ago and they also felt they were taken advantage of. I will never recommend this dealership and would discourage anyone from purchasing a vehicle here
This is my second vehicle that I've purchased from south point and I can't say enough great things about this place. Sam and Hassib are wonderful and get the job done . Their cars are clean and reliable wouldn't go any where else.
South Point Auto and Hassib were great to deal with. We purchased a 2019 VW Beetle convertible (hard to find locally) from South Point. We got a great price for the car and the buying process was seamless and very comfortable. My wife and are very happy with the VW, South Point and Hassib. Hassib is the man! Couldn't have asked for a more smooth and seamless transaction. We purchased a Lexus from out of state and he made every step from start to finish a breeze. I went yesterday to look at a f250 on the lot like the truck test drove it talked to a younger guy he was ok and understanding and we left of on good terms when I got home my fiance wanted to see it before we make our decision wanted to drive it and some old grumpy guy said I need to be pre approved before I can take it out so i went back in after and voiced my concerns and the old dude said it’s like buying a house u can’t look at the house until your pre approved absolutely not at all the same things own a crap ton of stuff I’m not going to put down due to being young stay clear of them unfortunately they lost on a sale because some people hate there life the young guy is cool but the other guy decided to but in and give a attitude stay away
I’ll start this out by saying the sale process was amazing.
The way I was treated after the sale however, not even close. The day I bought my car, I discovered that the touch screen didn’t work properly. Wasn’t a big deal since the car was fine other than that, but I reached out anyway and was told they’d fix it. I waited a month and reached back out and was told that the “wrong screen came in”. Ok, no big deal. Waited a few more weeks and reached out yet again and was asked to send a picture of my screen (which now leads me to believe it was never actually ordered the first time). I finally got a text saying the part was on its way and asked if I can bring my car in on Wednesday. I live about an hour away, so I took the day off from work, found a ride and went all the way there to find out that the part isn’t there. Naturally I’m annoyed but understand that this stuff happens. I could have gotten over everything up to this point.
Here is why I don’t recommend this place. I was obviously annoyed at the situation. Instead of them apologizing for my inconvenience, I got belittled, talked down to, acted like it was no big deal and basically argued with because “it’s not something that’s covered under warranty”. The guy didn’t care that it was agreed upon the day that I purchased the vehicle and it had been 2 months with very poor communication in between or that I wasted my time off from work plus the time and gas for 2 people to drive there for no reason. It did eventually get fixed but the way I was treated in between was terrible
South Point auto plaza stands by their word and takes care of the customers! I purchased a Transit van from them and they saw everything through to the end. I will buy my next truck and van from them knowing they will take care of me no matter what. Sam was a delight to deal with and anyone looking for a vehicle for personal use or work should reach out to them. It is hard to find a company with this level of integrity in ANY field. They stand by their vehicles!
Recently purchased a truck at South Point Auto. The transaction portion of the deal was flawless. Joe was professional and honest. The Ram we purchased was accurately described and priced accordingly. After a week of owning it, I had a check engine light come on. I called and spoke to Sam and without question offered to look at it and make any necessary repairs. After diagnosis they installed a new fuel pump. I have the truck back and all is good. I would buy from them again. Thank you Joe and Sam.
I stopped in at South Point auto today and I came home with a car. Sam was amazing, professional and helpful, and got me into a car that feels exactly right. I cannot thank them enough and highly recommend stopping there if you are car shopping!
A friend of mine bought a car from them and within a couple of days had to bring it back due to an engine issue. Eventually my friend returned it and he didn’t give her the full amount back. He was rude with me as I videotaped him after I stated the car should have never left the lot with a cylinder issue. Just as bad as Joe Cars LLC in Troy. Be careful of dealerships. Now my friend loses out and he makes a grand profit and gets to re-sell the same car to another person.
Took all my information for financing to include hard pulling my credit, weeks have now gone by with no response, no information as to whether financing is approved or not, and will not return calls. Extremely unprofessional as I’m in the market to purchase a car, but apparently they don’t want my business which is a shame.
Will change rating after my experience is complete but for now all seems well... I've recently purchased a 09 slk 350 here and Sam seemed like a good guy. Was honest about paint and I believe I got a great deal on price it only has 38000 miles which is great. I have been shopping around for about 4 months for a roadster and finally found one reasonably priced so I didn't argue the price at all after he garenteed to have it serviced before I pick it up. 3 business days of service before pickup. I hope this is all. He said a free 60 days of service thru them which most places only offer 30 days, I thought that was nice on top of the deal. Plus a warranty is always good to get with any vehicle new or used. So far I would recommend this place to many of my friends I seen alot of nice vehicles on their lot.
A few days after purchase, I noticed that the battery was weak. Joe replaced it with a new battery! Really appreciated that they stand behind their vehicles!
This was my first time buying a truck from a dealership. I went a few places before stopping at South Point. This is the only place I would shop for a vehicle. I knew what I wanted but didn't know how to find it. The staff at South Point educated me with what I needed to know for getting me in the truck I needed. I Love the truck they sold me. So I purchased a 2019 dodge caravan in early July after being pressured by Joe the sales man to purchase a vehicle. I got the vehicle and drive off the lot, not even 1 full day and the service light comes on, mind you Joe no where around to discuss the problem, so Sam another sales man takes over, gives me a loaner meanwhile my van sits in there shop for nearly almost a month, then I get my vehicle back yesterday, mid August now and the next day I go to take the vehicle to work and it’s over heating. I called Sam up and told him, he expected me to check the coolant fan and now bring it to another garage to get it looked at and states his business will pay for the repairs, so yes they are trying to fix The issue but my problem is that none of this should be happening so soon after purchase. I will not recommend anyone to buy for south point auto, they stole my money and still won’t give me a different vehicle or my money back.
At South Point auto Joe made it very easy for me to purchase a vehicle. He helped me get financing the best rate possible. Anytime I needed service they were there for me. I highly recommend South Point auto Plaza Albany, New York.

Had a great easy experience when buying my 2018 Jeep Compass. Very easy and quick to get the paperwork done. Only issue is, I was told the car had just got new brakes put on by the dealership. Turns out my car needs new brakes again so I don’t think they were changed. Also they said they had changed the Auto Start/Stop battery. But it still does not work.
My experience trading in my car and purchasing a used vehicle at south point auto went very well. Sam helped me setup a new insurance policy on the spot to deal with an odd situation I was in to be able to drive the new to me vehicle off the lot. I also forgot my apartment gate opener in my traded in vehicle which Sam promptly mailed back to me. I bought a wrx off these guys last week. Dealt with Sam president of South Point all I can say about Sam is he is a man of his word. I inquired about the car from an email did deal all over phone drove 3 hours quick and easy in and out. A lot of nice cars on the lot the guys have good taste in cars. Something Sam said resonated with me, " I take someone's word over a deposit anyday". Was good to see he kept his end of the deal dude even sent me away ordering me some snow tires. Just bought a 2016 Ford Fiesta from South Point Auto and it was a great experience all around. Hassib was great to work with, and very quick to reply to questions both before and after picking up the vehicle. He made the experience easy and painless, and was very friendly and accommodating. The staff were all very helpful in getting me into the car. The price was great, I got more for my trade-in than other dealers offered, and they were able to get me financed when others said no. Very happy with the car and the experience!
Purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport with all the options I was looking for. Called the dealership and spoke with Sam; expressed my interest in the truck and my current credit situation. Sam assured me we could make the deal. Upon entering the dealership I found Sam to be very professional, knowledgeable, and most of all patient; at no time did I feel any pressure to purchase. After taking delivery of the truck and on my way home to Connecticut the check engine light came on. I had already planned on a tune up and after completing the tune up the light went off however there was a stored code indicating a misfire had occurred. I immediately contacted Sam and explained what was happening with the truck - Sam calmed me down and reassured me he would correct the issue and to bring it back. As it turned out, the Ram's are having an issue with failing needle bearings in their lifters resulting in damage to the cam shaft and presenting as a misfire. Sam kept the truck and put me in a loaner until the repair was completed - the repair itself would be considered major engine work and would take some time to accurately diagnose and repair. Sam thoroughly explained the problem and kept me updated on their progress.Upon picking up the vehicle Sam introduced me to his mechanic and showed me the damage to the camshaft and explained the failure in great detail. Big shout out to Rich the mechanic; working until 10:00 PM Saturday night to get this fixed - truck runs strong and smooth. Great job Rich! In closing, I highly recommend South Point Auto Plaza; Sam and his team made the purchase a very pleasant and memorable experience. It was very obvious to me that South Point Auto Plaza is committed to customer satisfaction. I look forward to working with them in the future. Good people!
I have been a customer of south point auto for a year now and they are the greatest when it comes to customer service and making sure the customer is completely satisfied and happy with their purchases. I had an issue with a vehicle that was a manufacturer defect and Sam and Joe helped me every step of the way to try to resolve the issue. The issue was not able to be resolved so they did their best to get me into a new shiny beautiful vehicle and I am beyond happy. The guys at South Point Auto are very family oriented and make you feel like one of the family. I would not go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle at this point. Sam, Joe and Serge provided a great experience for me and I would recommend anyone to go see them before you go to one of these big commercialized establishments. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
