Called because of a flat tire, they were able to get me scheduled right away and could provide price estimates over the phone.
When the tire couldn’t be patched and needed replacement they showed me where it had split on the sidewall—Very professional and transparent, super grateful they were able to help me out!
The TLDR of my review is: PROCEED WITH CAUTION and (1) request that this Firestone save your old parts if they do a replacement of any kind. And (2) specifically request that the technician, Dan, does NOT work on your vehicle.
I brought my Ford vehicle back on January 13th for check engine light related to the EGR system and misfires in the engine. I hired Firestone to replace the EGR valve and to replace all 8 spark plugs in my engine.
After the repair was "done", I had to return on Jan. 17th because the check engine light returned. They double checked the work, reset the code, and sent me away. I had to return for a third time on Jan 19th when the check engine light came back on.
Throughout the work they did, their technicican, Dan, soiled the carpets in my vehicle with his boots and left the door handle covered in grease from his hands. (photos below.) He also left his shop rags on my passenger seat. After the revisit on Jan 19th, I requested a full refund for the work. But I was denied the refund and encouraged to return so they could fix it.
Fed up with Firestone, I went to a Ford Dealership, on February 5th, for a second opnion. They determined that none of the spark plugs I paid Firestone to replace were ever replaced. (photos of the sparkplugs below.) So we paid them to actually do the work.
Over the subsequent two weeks, we called Firestone for a refund on multiple occasions. Eventually, we had to escalate the issue to a senior manager above the store manager. Finally, on February 23rd, we were issued a full refund for both the spark plug job and EGR replacment.
In summary, the work we paid this Firestone to do WAS NEVER COMPLETED. And they were exposed. Our experience at this location lasted multiple weeks, with countless phonecalls, visits, and waiting time. Although we got our money back, we'll never get back the time we lost. And we'll never take our automotive work to this location again, or any Firestone for the matter.
The team here is great, they're accommodating & reassuring every step of the way. I've had some awful experiences at other Firestones, this one really makes up for those past experiences.
Erin was amazing! She kept me updated the whole time and even called to check in and let me know what was going on with my car. She really tried her best to get everything taken care of and made the whole process smooth. She was polite, easygoing, and very understanding. Great customer service I truly appreciate her help!
Great team, Erin is cool. Not my first time going to this spot for routine maintenance and tire replacements and it's consistently good and affordable.
Went in and told them my car would die while driving. They diagnosed that the alternator was the problem and needed to be replaced at a cost of $800. They then told me about all the other things wrong with my car, they looked at everything, except one item. Car died again a couple of days later. Decided to google my issue. Turns out, I had no oil. My sensor apparently wasn't working. Spent $22 for oil and now it works fine. They tore my car apart to tell me what's wrong with it and couldn't even diagnose the real issue. Bye Bye $800, lol.
Complete disrespect for customer time — walked out after an hour of nothing
I had an appointment for NY state inspection. Arrived 15 minutes early, checked in, and was told the car would be ready in about one hour.
I came back exactly an hour later — my vehicle was still sitting in the exact same spot where I left it. No one had even touched it.
As soon as the manager saw me, she immediately started running around the shop asking who could take my car. Technicians were literally coming out from different areas, and no one wanted to take the job. Only then I was told that the service was “busy”.
This is not being busy — this is lying to customers and wasting their time.
If you can’t honor your own appointment schedule, don’t book inspections. I took my keys and left. Will never return and do not recommend this location to anyone who values their time.

There are times when things just have to be done, and times when we need to depend on professionals to handle what we can’t. I came to Firestone, as I have in the past, to purchase new tires. Erin and her team went through their database and sourced tires from area locations to get them to me during the holiday season, which we all know can slow delivery times. They were extremely helpful, and I truly appreciated the effort they put in while assisting me with my purchase. Thank you for your professionalism, see you next time
If I could leave negative stars I would! Went there 12/12/2025 for an oil change and to get the back tire fixed on my truck. Oil change was sloppy and had to go back the following Monday because the tire wasn’t fixed and was told by the employee Rocky that they fixed the wrong tire… Still can’t figure out how they messed that up. Between the 2 days I was there for almost 5 hours waiting. Now it’s Friday and I’m still loosing air in the tire but refuse to go back to this location!
Rocky was very professional! I had a issue with the Monro down the road. Glad I ended up taking my truck to Firestone! FANTASTIC customer service! Very good at there job! They earned a life long customer!! Rocky thank you!!
I originally came in for a simple alignment and was told I suddenly needed almost $1,000 in steering and suspension repairs, even though I had recently checked and replaced those parts myself. The $150 alignment wasn’t done correctly, so I went elsewhere to get it fixed.
After that, they called me and offered a conditional refund if I could show proof that I had the alignment done somewhere else. I provided the receipt, and they agreed to refund me, which I do appreciate.
Overall, the experience was frustrating at first, but they did reach out afterward and worked with me to resolve the situation.

This firestone has helped me every single time my car has had an issue. From oil changes to new tires to needing a new part, I will continue to get my services here. Erin is always so helpful and really cares about helping the customers. She gave me advice on which tires to purchase and even gave me the best discounts available. It's rare to find a mechanic you can trust, and this first one is one of the best!
They are prompt and efficient with their work. They always do whatever they can to meet their clients needs and get them the service that they need. I find myself coming back again. Also be mindful the employees servicing you will give you misinformation about services which can not make up for the fact that the work is good.
I love the Albany Firestone. They are my go to. Everybody that works there is so friendly and knowledgeable. They are always more than willing to explain what's going on and even show me the issue. And their Lifetime Alignment... TOTALLY worth it! They have been able to diagnose and fix things that the dealership claimed they couldn't pinpoint. They've even fixed issues caused by the dealership. Nothing but love for my local Firestone store ?

I had the pleasure of working with Shayne at Firestone of Albany. From the moment I arrived he was incredibly sweet and professional. He handled my car inspection, wiper blades and lights super quickly!

I had a great experience at this car shop! I brought my vehicle in for some unexpected repairs, and they got me taken care of faster than I expected. They were upfront about the pricing, which was very reasonable. What stood out most was the customer service – super friendly, helpful, and honest. They explained everything clearly without trying to upsell or pressure me into anything extra. It's refreshing to find a shop that values both your time and your wallet. Highly recommend!
We had issue with the Firestone on central ave. I Brought my truck for an alignment and wheel balance. After work was done there could be a grinding or clicking noise on the drive side front like something was loose. Brought it back for them to check and they told me everything was fine and they didn’t hear any noise. While still continuing to hear a noise we brought it back and they sent us to the wolf road location and there mechanic found that a tire rod bolt was loose and needed to be tightened which was causing the noise that the place on central ave failed to locate and fix with just dismissing us. Very disappointed and do not recommend this location.
Got me repaired and back on the highway after engine trouble, and all right before closing. They could have easily turned me away given how busy they were and the time, but empathized with the situation and saved our vacation. Couldn't be more grateful. It's a very well run location!

Today I went to Firestone for my tires and was so well taken care of. Jose and Rocky were amazing! I called to make an appointment and they got me in within minutes for an appointment. I was seen right away when I got there. The wait time was so quick and my car drives amazing! Not to mention (the warranty covers it all) I highly recommended Firestone on central ave to anyone who wants to never have to worry about their tires ever again. I’ll never go anywhere but here.
