I was in desperate need of help and Larry went ABOVE and BEYOND with his service. I'm pretty clueless about cars and car parts but my husband was away for work when I was driving in Lakewood and needed to find help quickly. Thank goodness Larry was working when I went in and he saved the day!

Bought a top of the line battery for $250 and then they told me to come back another day to put it in which is part of the service they provide when you buy a better there but why do I have to come back another day? This is the second battery I bought here within a year one for each of my cars each $250 and both times they told me come back to put it in. And I don't want to hear anything because there were at least 4 employees in there at the time and it wasn't busy. Only reason I went back after the first time they did it to me is because it's near my house. I went to the Howell store and they put it in no problem but I should not have to travel to another town to get it put in.

Called for a part they checked and verified they had it I went and picked it up. No hassle.

Problems with my car battery( inside car light left on ). Ryan went into parking lot and performed a few tests with a sophisticated meter. He said battery still ok just drive car more to recharge. Saved me from buying new battery. ? AAP only place I shop now for automotive.

My fiancées battery died on one of the hottest days of the year, so I jumped her car and took it to Advance. The tech was super down to earth and we were talking as he did the work. I felt bad so I grabbed him a Gatorade and some cash to tip him for having to swap the battery in all black clothing in July heat like that. Give that tech a raise (and a bay to work in)!

Auto parts store .friendly help. Parts are expensive. Online is always a cheaper price but you get what you pay for,and if the item is wrong or doesn't fit and if you need to return cost more.best to buy locally .like advance auto

I needed a wheel lock key replacement set for my car, And the worker was very helpful with finding for me the correct size that I needed for my car.

Needed a main battery plus an auxiliary battery for a Volvo V60 wagon. None of the stores nearer me had the auxiliary battery in stock nor would they allow me to buy it over the phone so I could pick up both on one trip when it came in. Stupid policy! Advance-Lakewood had both in stock so I spent my money there. Benefitted from lower UEZ sales tax as well - win/win.

Not a fan of parts stores..but finally they have an employee looking up parts that knows something about cars..crazy isnt it

Didn't like it,I went to ask for something, and the guy asked me if I needed help. I said yes, and he told me to wait until he finished on the computer. I think he shouldn't ask if I need help when he was actually busy..

I bough a set of Allen kit and l pick one the star one , so next day l take back to exchange for the diamond one and they told me that they can not because one of the metal have a little bit of the coast off, them l has to be stock with something that l do not need it, l did it not use, all the guys at counter when you get there turn the head to the computer, bad costumer service, do not go there pls

If I could give this location 0 ⭐️ I would! After being sold a part that didn’t fit my vehicle I ate the fact that they didn’t want to honor store credit or replacing it with the proper size. 2 days later with License in hand I ask to use the scan tool to know which parts to purchase. A representative there named Cody told me that he can only scan it for me. I told him the vehicle was in another lot. He proceeds to then tell me that it’s the only one so he can’t let me use it. After explaining to him that I’ve never had a problem borrowing a scan tool from any of their other locations, he just looks at me with a smug grin and says “ well maybe you should go to one of those stores” I then asked him is that his final response to me and he grinningly says “yep” I’ve never been so disrespected in ANY store this badly before, that it took a great deal of strength not to tell him about himself. As Management gingerly hangs nearby and says absolutely nothing to rectify the situation or at the very least intervene and correct such a horrible customer experience. They do not care about their local clientele and I will Never shop nor recommend Advanced to anyone again!

Spoke with a rep named Sean, he is absolutely phenomenal. I have no idea what to ask when it comes to my car..he didn't laugh or judge me. He's your go to guy when it comes to all your car needs!

The guys that work here in the afternoon (I was there around 8pm) are extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable and helpful..they really look to go the extra mile to help in any way possible. Thank you so much! (I'm Emergency brake guy)

Advance auto parts has been a nightmare for me for a long time but now the store employees are really amazing! They have patience and have a smile! They are extremely knowledgeable and are looking to help! Even when they are bombarded with an overwhelming amount of costumers they know how to not get frustrated and help each one in a very short amount of time. The costumer care is utmost! Thank you guys for making the change! The old atmosphere was filled with attitude and haughty egos now it's a beautiful enjoyable shopping experience! Cheep prices ! Great manager! Clean and well organized store! Keep it up

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I have always been able to obtain my every vehicle need at a reasonable price. The free diagnostics are a life saver

It was a bad experience won't be going back after the first store told me that their new Hampshire ave lakewood store would have the part I was looking for but when I got there I was told they don't have any ever so yeah if ur looking for exhaust flanges couplers or reducers don't go to advance auto!

I lost my house and car keys weeks ago. My tracker indicates that my keys are in the store behind the counter. The folks on duty didnt seem to want to help and discouraged me from walking around the store. as of today, they are still there. Will be this week. Would somebody step up and lend me a hand?

Worst customer service ever! They sit around and chat while you wait for no reason. The guy behind the counter claimed he was a mechanic, and gave me compression fittings for a brake line. I tried explaining to him that although it'd work, its the wrong thing. After screaming at me for 5 minutes I got him to read the package which clearly stated, "not for automotive brake systems". During Covid I was in other advanced auto part stores and had no issues, yet this one decided only 1 customer in the store at a time. They also decided not to lend out the usual loaner tools citing covid concerns although the other locations did it no problem, and I called corporate who said they never made such a rule. Alot of attitude from some of the workers which comes unprovoked. Extremely unprofessional! I'll definitely be taking my business in the future to the other local advanced or auto zone. I'll be reaching out to corporate about this too.

Came from other store was told by Jim that it wasn’t his fault I was being sold parts that weren’t complete when he tryed selling me 3 box’s brand new never opened autocraft then some ripped up missing coil boxes that had no coil were torn open and that a complete order parts you can clearly see are no good to a customer but give it to him anyway. Don’t trust them seriously.

advances is my go to car parts store. here's a tip: you can ALWAYS find a 20-25% off code for their website. order your parts online then choose free store pickup. you get the same product and save 20%, and you only have to wait 30 minutes before they're ready for pickup

I definitely like going here have a great variety of parts for my car nice clean store center of a mall strip which is a plus and very friendly customer service Representatives I approve.

Parts are not always there but service is great

Jim did a great job getting my car the right battery and installing it. I would recommend this Advance Auto location in Lakewood and ask for Jim, you'll be glad you did.

Highly unprofessional team. Sold me broken part. Now I have to pay double labor and they refused to accept the return. Tried to force me to exchange it. I'm not exchanging anything since I bought the part from the dilership already. I mean will you pay for double labor? Doing charge back on my credit card. You lost one customer and earned charge back penalties. This place needs a training or something or it will be out of business.
