I went to the Lakewood NJ branch to get blades since there is a huge sign that they install the blades. The guy behind the desk was extremely nasty and barked at me that there was no one else in the store SO I CANNOT. When I asked him if blades are no less then $60 he said yes. Right near those there were blades for $30. Finally another 2 guys came in. When I asked one of them to help me he nastily replied "NOT IN THE RAIN" [It was lightly drizzling]. These guys are nasty and gave me a horrible start of my day!! A real disgrace. DO NOT USE THEM!

I had a great experience at Advance Auto Parts thanks to Dennis! He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient while helping me find the right parts for my car. He took the time to explain everything clearly and even gave me a few tips for installation. It’s not often you find someone who genuinely cares about customer service, but Dennis went above and beyond. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had at an auto parts store.

Went in Saturday to purchase a rear wiper for my Honda crv...i asked the young man at the counter for the wiper..and if he would put it on for me...I would even pay him to do it.. He said"I can't install the rear wiper We are not allowed..it could crack the Glass"I said i have had wipers put on many times here..I said ask one of the other clerks there.."he said they will all tell you the same thing"..unbelievable..the laziness..rudeness of this young Guy...I have bought many parts here..how will that crack the glass What's the difference between front..and back. Really.. Will never come back... Thanks for nothing..you didn't Answer the question...same duplicate Answer you give everybody..

Normally i dont do reviews but this got to me. Was looking for an exhaust gasket for my corvette. I knew the size and told the sales rep Dennis it is 2.5inch diameter. He brings me the one recommended which i measured since i had already gotten one too small. I tell him this is too small do you have a larger size? He says "we have thousands of gaskets, im not going to look through each one, this is the recommended one". To say im pissed is an understatement. I own a small business and if i saif this to my customers theyd never buy from me again. I didnt give a vague description i gave him the exact sizing. Very unprofessional, what are you there for if not to help find the right part?

I had the pleasure of meeting a well informed young man named Nick at the 1400 River location. He was very kind and pleasant. He answered all my questions politely, and not once made me feel uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend that location to anyone in need of car parts. His patience alone was above and beyond! I walked in to test my battery on my car , they have a sign on the front door that says free battery testing, when I asked the lady behind the counter if they can test my battery she told me they don’t test batteries when it’s dark outside , it was NOT dark outside, sunset was 5:35pm and I walked in at 5:20pm . There just not interested in helping people

Was in this store about a week ago for information on aftermarket parts for my truck. Your salesman Larry I encountered near the front of the store and helped me. He was very knowledgeable and couldn't of been more helpful. I left your store more then impressed how friendly and helpful all of the staff was with me and all my questions, between all of them. Ryker, Dave I believe we're the other guys names.

I went To advance auto parts in Lakewood New Jerseyon a rainy day and needed wiper blades, not knowing Which ones My vehicle used and did not knowhow to put them on. Was offered help from Larry as soon as I walked in. He took me over to wiper blades and was so helpful. He then went out in the rain to put them on my vehicle. That being said he helped me very much and is a very good worker and I want to send a big thank you out to Larry And advanced auto parts in Lakewood New Jersey.

Came three times to return a core battery and each time they told me there was something wrong with their system and I needed to come back. The fourth time I came Ralph told me that I only have 45 days to return it so I'm out of time. Never going to step foot in here again and strongly recommend no one else does.

We placed an order online to the Lakewood store when we got there our order was ready. Spoke to Dennis on the phone. Really polite and knowledgeable got wiper blades, put them on for us also ordered air filter and cabin filter our experience there in the store was phenomenal. Thank you.

Called ahead of time for some parts , roughly 20 mins after they opened and placed an order. Was told it’d take 30 mins (when no customer is even there) and it really took 50. I get there and they cancel my order . I had to reorder through them which ended up costing ME more money then what I initially went to spend. They thought I was all cool with it but in reality I was peeping their name tags . Thank you Carlie for costing me money by canceling my order and then not even trying to put in an employee discount code to make it right. No wonder you guys have 1.5 stars

Horrible service. Discriminative as well.. every time I walked into this place I was treated like someone not worthy of good customer service. Whether it was asking for the proper part or finding which section had what part I needed. Both the manager and employees showed negative attitudes toward customers. They’re not helpful at all. Don’t expect to have a pleasant experience at this establishment. You will come out feeling discriminated against as well as traumatized from the lack of professionalism.

I'm a customer who has never had a bad experience till this morning. The lady from the register was very rude and uninterested in what I was telling her. I told her if she needed the registration of the car and she didn't even answer me. She also talked to my mom in a nasty tone for being close to the desk but my mom was just trying to see what the lady was showing us on the computer.

I bought an AC charger can because my AC wasn't blowing cold anymore. I went to charge it but the can was leaking so badly, it wasn't working. I went back to the store to return it. The lady was very nasty. She said "How do I know it didn't start leaking after you bought it? I can't return this.". The can was still completely full so it's not a like I was trying to pull one over on them. I spent $40 on the can. I just wanted my money back. I asked to speak with the manager, and she said she is the manager. Then, another store employee came over and he told her, "Just mark it as defective and return it.". So she did. Obviously she isn't the manager if she's taking orders from another employee, so she lied to me. The whole ordeal was just so unnecessary. She is so rude. She tried so hard not to give me my money back. Very unprofessional. I'll never go back there again.

Manager would not let me return an unopened box of headlight bulbs that were purchased three days ago. Said they did not take back electronics. This is not an electronic and the Advanced Auto a few miles away said they would happily accept my return. He was very dismissive and does not know his own stores return policy.

Mom went there for a simple wiper fix. They told her no but meanwhile on the front door there's a sign that says sure we do that. Go to autozone instead please. Thanks guys.

I will never go into there again. I waited almost 20 min. to get to the register. I asked them to change the light on my vehicle for me and was told we aren't technicians we don't do that here. I have been to numerous other advanced autos where they had with no problem at different times. He told me I should find a local shop to go there. I told them I would go to Ford. I went to Ford and had them look at it, come to find out the light bulbs they tried to give me wont work on my vehicle. My vehicle has a LED that has to be replaced. They need to teach their people better.

I will never shop at Advanced Auto again unless they really up their customer service. Try to order something for in store pickup online, and the sight won't take my credit card. Called the customer service # only to sit on hold for 10 minutes and then just to be hung up on 3 different times. Called the store directly just to be told they don't even have the parts at their store. They said he can order them and I could pick them up tomorrow or go to another store down the road and get them today. I asked you guys don't do in store delivery to another store? His answer was for comercial accounts only. Worst customer service ever. Advanced Auto must make entirely too much $ to actually care about being nice let alone actually helping a customer out so I will no longer worry about them at all and spend my $ at Auto Zone or Pep Boys.

Terrible customer service. Brought in my used motor oil for recycling and got some BS excuse that boxes were blocking the tank so I couldn't access it. This was actually illegal and I could have contacted the EPA. This has to be accessible at all times during business hours. Had to drive several miles north on Rt 9 in heavy traffic, in the middle of a rainstorm, to recycle it at the Autozone, where the manager was extremely nice and helpful. Added another hour to this errand easily. Will never purchase another product from any Advanced Auto.
