Brian is an absolute angel. My local AutoZone didn't have the item I wanted in stock (even though it said it was in stock there online), so I stopped by the Piscataway location while I was in the area. That's when I met Brian. I'm convinced that my store didn't have the item so that I would come here and meet this man.
He could have just processed my transaction and sent me on my way, but instead he took a great deal of interest in my classic car and gave me so much advice on how to restore my vinyl top among other things. We talked for about half an hour, and everything he said was practical and valuable. I took notes and pictures of all the products he suggested so I know what to do to get my car looking almost new again when spring comes around!
I was having a rather shitty day, and talking to Brian made it considerably less shitty. A truly wonderful experience with a truly wonderful human. Many thanks, Brian!
My wife’s check engine light came on recently so we stopped by to see if we could get a diagnosis of the error. I met Brian(Brain) as he was helping someone else with the same thing. He quickly came to help and after diagnosing was quickly able to find and recommend parts.
The part that warrants this review really comes AFTER the sale. Brian offered to help show me how to install the spark plug and coil assembly, and when he found out that I had no clue how, he offered to do it himself. Was not condescending by any means, he was an absolute legend. I’ve never had to replace this type of part and don’t have car working experience but I can comfortably perform this repair myself in the future, but today I didn’t have to thanks to Brian.
His attitude was impeccable, extremely friendly, great conversationalist and obviously quite passionate about the service part of his job. I literally couldn’t have asked for more, and I expected way less. He could have said here’s what you need and have a good day, and that would have been fine. Obviously Brian doesn’t settle for fine, and I am grateful for that. This repair was for my wife’s car and I was worried about messing it up and stranding her somewhere when the car doesn’t start.
Quite literally the best service I’ve ever had from probably anywhere. Auto zone please make sure you do everything you can to retain this man, I am sure he’s responsible for a significant portion of repeat business, as he will be for mine. Thanks Brian!
The employees here are awesome! Appreciate Jonathan for help put antifreeze in my car and explain what. Possible reason why my car didn’t start this am. Even though I didn’t get a battery today but I’ll be back. Thank you the young man that checking my battery twice for me. They didn’t give attitude to help out their customers. Great job 👏🙌

I went in yesterday to buy a battery for my car. The staff was extremely helpful as I lacked knowledge on cars. He helped me pick out the correct battery then when it came to the transaction, my card wouldn't go through as for some reason it was detecting fraud. He offered to pay and I paid him back on cashapp. Something he did not have to do but I am extremely grateful as I was already under so much stress. I came in today to do my return of my old battery, with no issues they gave me my return. Shocking enough even though this all seems like just good service, this is uncommon in the autozone by my location (PLAINFIELD). I appreciate this staff so much. 10/10 Will be only going back to this location whenever I need anything. Thank you to the staff for their dedication to helping their customers. Tom was so friendly and patient with me. He greeted me when I first entered the store and helped me with my windshield wiper. It was very cold outside but he was very pleasant and placed the wiper for me. I definitely recommend this store and if Tom is present, even better!
This location always claims the waste oil tank is full and will not accept drop offs. That and the employees have a terrible attitude. Will not be shopping here again.
I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever with the salesman Xavier. From the moment I walked in, he showed no interest in helping me. I asked him several questions about the car axle, but he didn’t answer any of them and the few times he did, he responded with an angry and annoyed attitude. When I finally went to pay, he handed me the receipt with a terrible attitude, like I was bothering him, and then walked outside to vape instead of assisting me properly. This kind of behavior is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. A salesman should be attentive, helpful, and polite, but Xavier did the complete opposite. He made me feel unwelcome and ignored, and it was clear he didn’t care at all about doing his job. If this is the kind of service they allow, I honestly don’t understand how this business expects to keep customers. I will never come back, and I strongly recommend that others stay away from this place unless they want to be treated poorly.
I came in with a check engine light and was very pleased with my experience. Brian went above and beyond in diagnosing and resolving the issue with my car and was very helpful throughout the entire process.
Amazing staff that goes above and beyond without even being asked. Brian stood outside with me in 100 degree weather to help me recharge and troubleshoot my car's AC system. If Brian ruled the world, we would all enjoy peace and prosperity. Please give this man a raise! Brian, may your progeny be blessed for a thousand generations!
Jonathan the manager is knowledgeable about auto parts. I needed a tail light bulb. One of the local Advanced Auto parts store said I could only get it from the dealer. I took a picture and came into the store and the same guy assured me that they don’t have it. One dealership said it’s a $700 part. Another dealership said I could email a picture of the bulb, they said it is called a “peanut bulb” and it’s a common part. AutoZone is nearby, so I called them and luckily Jonathan picked up the phone and knew what it was. When I arrived, he had Queen help me find it. Will just go there from now on.
The store was clean neat, and well stocked. There were few employees and all seemed to not care I was there. No one asked if I needed help and had to wait to pay while an employee talked to someone from another store.
Everyone was very helpful and professional. John, the manager, took the time to recommend parts for my car. Another two gentlemen helped show where a sensor was on my car and locate a part. Tee helped complete a battery check and complete my purchase.
Greeted while coming inside the store & Natasha was great with her customer service attendance she helped me with everything she had the aura of making people feel like their welcomed
Came in today and was helped by Brian S. He is a very knowledgeable worker!! Exceeded my expectations and now I know to come back to this location from now on. (Edit: I asked for his name just so I can put in this review!)
I had to do a review for the outstanding help I receive from the manager Johnathan ! He is always so helpful and kind to me everything I ask for service. He has went above and beyond for my needs and I just want to make Autozone aware! He truly knows the importance of customer service and his ability to make sure the customers are happy!
Refused to help me due to it being too cold outside. Then when I asked simply for a jump, I waited 20 minutes out in the cold! Go anywhere else other than this place! They might actually look forward to helping you out.
Anthony S was absolutely fantastic. His attention to detail was second to none. His pool of knowledge is deep and will offer you accurate advice and give you nothing more than what you need. If you pop into this location… check for for him. He’ll take care of you.
Incompetent and childish staff that cannot seem to get an online order correct. Reached out to them on two different occasions to confirm that they had a part in store so I can pick up. Drove out of my way twice to pick up said item and they did not have it. Now I have over $300 tied up and refunds that take forever to process, but that's a whole other story. The place is in need of more mature staff that actually know about cars and can actually present well with customer service issues. The manager on duty was no help on either occasion and I had to do my own research to possibly find another location that had the part. Probably will not be coming back here unfortunately. It's not worth the stress.

One of the Inventory Parts manager .. tall dude didn’t catch his name is one of the best hands down from that location… He helped me swap my key fob battery when another different store wouldn’t do it . People like this make the entire experience easy - if it can be done then and there they will try their best to accommodate. Thank you again to the guys at Piscataway autozone !!
The entire staff is amazing!! They’re so knowledgeable, kind and willing to help!! The dealer wanted to charge me almost $200 for parts and labor. The staff here were able to help install the part in less than 5 minutes. This is the ONLY Autzone in the area that you should be going to. 🥰
The staff helped me find the best option for my headlight and helped me replaced my busted one. He was indeed very friendly and courteous. He also recommended what washer works best during winter time. I appreciate the help and thank you for the recommendations. A job well done indeed!
Got a replacement headlight bulb. Manager helped me switch it in my car. Got it done in less than five minutes. They did an amazing job! I would recommend anybody come here.

Horrible...bad customer experience...the gave me the wrong parts TWICE then send me to the east Brunswick location. They did not apologize nor care for my time....not even a discount...I will go to NAPA next time
