Krenar at the Old Bridge location was extremely helpful. High level of professionalism as he assessed the car battery for my 2021 Mazda 3, performing diagnostics to determine low CCA value, and then helping me identify a suitable replacement battery which he installed on site. All this while having to tend to other customers in a courteous manner (he was the only staff member on site at the time). Wanted to tip him for his efforts performing the battery install (not so easy to secure the new battery into place, and it was raining). But he refused tip. Don't encounter this kind of excellent customer service much nowadays. Thanks so much, Krenar!

On 6/18/2025, I entered the store and asked the clerk if they sell “bar oil”. He said, “yes, last aisle”. After five minutes of looking, I was unable to locate. I then again approached the same clerk, and told him, I cannot find the bar oil. He replied, “Oh, we don’t sell that.” As a clerk, especially taking orders from customers, it is expected for them to pay attention when a customer speaks to them. Obviously, this was not the case.

Absolutely terrible experience, Fernando, the store manager denied me of my batterys warranty. I am well within the replacement period but he tells me I need to go to the store I purchased it from. Went to a different advance auto and they replaced it right away. Seems like the manager may have has his own bias, unsure but super unhelpful and unfriendly. Most of all unprofessional for not offering any help or guidance. From now on I am only purchasing from a different auto part franchise, advance has lost my business.

Shoutout to an Amazing Team! To Advance Auto Parts. My car broke down- calipers seized up, destroying my rotors and brake pads. I walked into the store, and within minutes, John C, Connor Z, and Abbey F, were already on it. The three of them worked together seamlessly, checking the computer, locating the parts I needed, and getting me in and out under 10 minutes. Thats what I call- teamwork. Other stores could learn from this kind of service. I've seen firsthand how a little improvisation and collaboration can transform how we work together and get things done. I usually never review, but I ran into such a nice, friendly and professional man named Jeff at the Old Bridge Auto store. It made for such a smooth transaction. What an amazing helpful person. I wish all sales people were like this.

Jeffrey was so incredibly sweet. He went above and beyond to help me with my headlight and I just can't thank him enough. I just went in to purchase a headlight for my car, but he went ahead and put it in for me and even explained why it burnt out so quickly! He wouldn't even accept a tip for going out of his way. He is truly an incredible person and I'm honored to have experienced his kindness. We need more genuine and selfless people like him. He truly made my day :)

I recently had an incredible experience at Advance Auto Parts at 3103 US-9 in Old Bridge, NJ. I was dealing with a frustrating situation: my air pump for my tire was broken, and after trying to fill my flat tire, it ended up even flatter! Just as I was about to go find another air pump, an employee from a nearby eye doctor’s office suggested I try asking the folks at Advance Auto Parts for help. I figured they'd just recommend a product to buy, but I thought I’d give it a try. When I walked in and showed my broken air pump, a staff member named Jeff was quick to step in. He kindly asked where my car was parked and went back to grab their air pump. Jeff then helped me fill my tire without asking for anything in return! When I offered a tip as a thank-you, he kindly declined, saying he was just happy to help. Jeff and the team at this store are genuinely kind, friendly, and generous people. It’s rare to find customer service that goes above and beyond like this. If you need auto parts or just some honest help, I highly recommend visiting this location. Jeff and the staff here truly care about their customers!

I know nothing about cars, but they do. Especially Abbie. She was very helpful with what I should do, shouldn't do, and what they can do. After all of this, she was right......I was just in need of a new battery. Thank you Abbie for all of your help and expertise.

This place would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn’t for one person who works there, Jeff. Anytime I come to this location, which is why I go, the staff is always friendly nice and extremely helpful. There was an instance where a gentleman personally put my purchase of rain x wipers on and explained how they work(meaning I was unaware the wipers put a film on the windshield to activate their purpose). The staff educates me when I am unaware of certain things, to something that simple or me changing my caliper. Jeff is NOT personable, he is rude with a condescending tone, and treated me like I was incompetent. My advice to anyone reading this if you see an older man with white hair, walk right out. It is workers like him that locations go out of business and the consumers then buy from Amazon. Joseph and Rene were very helpful after my upsetting interaction with Jeff from the other day. I’m glad they were there to help me and during my exchange even upsold me on a purchase.

They refused to replace the battery of my 2019 Kia Forte because there was a "fuse" (?) on the battery. The attendant stated that their store had a previous incident with a Kia which resulted in damage to this "fuse." This then led them to thousands of dollars in repairs, and therefore they will no longer replace batteries that have a "fuse." I don't understand how a past failure results in a complete work stoppage, but at this point I'm thankful these two attendants didn't touch my car. They clearly lack the required skills to replace a car battery. Would love to speak with someone about this.

I came LAST WEEK FOR CAR BATTERY. 2 YOUNG KID WORK THER THEY Didn't WANNA CHANGE MY CAR BATTERY , THEY SAID I NEED TO TAKE IT TO mechanic, but I am buying new battery from you. I did not wanna argue so I left went to AUTO ZONE . I bought new battery from their they change my Battery. Bc lazy employ u lost business

Great prices if you order online, but for those times you need help Steven at this location was a big help. Had purchased a part at my usual location in Englishtown and they were no help and went to Old Bridge and Steven and management was awesome. They helped me sort through the issues and recommended provided recommendations as needed.

Not a fan of the prices usually, however it is convenience that brings me to this location. The two older gentleman who are usually on in the after noon are usually very nice and help me out when in need. This evening i had help from a younger man named Terry, just wanted to say thanks for the help and i hope the company appreciates having you as an employee.

Very friendly checkout guy. Can't say I go to an auto parts store very often at all, but if I need to again, I'd go here. I needed a marine battery and they had one (literally one) in stock. Would have given them a 5 if they had anything but 1 of what I was looking for

This morning I had the worst experience in this place given by someone named Steve or Steven. I went to buy a touch up paint for my car, and this guy tells me as soon as I walk in with a rude tone, this is the wrong door. I didn’t hear him well and thought that he said good morning. So I said good morning. I’m looking for a touch up paint. He responded with the same rude voice, this is the wrong door. I said, okay. Where is the right door? He then pointed at a door that was only a few inches away from the first one. So, he continued with the same rude and disgusting attitude. So I told him, never mind. I lm not buying anything. He raised his shoulders carelessly and said, okay. I said to him, you know what? You should test your customer’s better than that. Have some respect. I will make a complaint about you to your corporate. He said, no problem. My name is Steve or Steven. Do whatever you want. I responded, you know what? I feel sorry for the manager who hired you. You’re not belong here. I then complained about him to his corporate and I was given a case number after I was told that the general manager will contact me. But I haven’t heard from him yet. Anyway, it seems that this guy with the name or Steven doesn’t care much about his superiors. If he did, he would’ve been more respectful. But no one can give what they don’t have. So, I would like to tell his superiors that I did your job for you, lectured this guy and put him in his place. More importantly, I was s very active shopper at Advanced Auto Parts since your store existed. But you have just lost a customer who have no intention on giving you his business anymore.

Bill, Tyler, and Tommy felt like family!! Memorial Day weekend I stopped to pick up dry cleaning and my car wouldn’t start. Bill( manager) and I discussed possible problems, you could tell he knew about cars. I decided to replace the battery, they even had loaner tools to do it right in the parking lot. They even tested my entire electrical system to rule out my alternator and starter. I could have stayed all day and talked cars. Thanx guys for the help. This is what an auto shop is supposed to be, good people, good advice, good service.

Their website said they had the parts that I needed for my car in stock. When I arrived that was not the case. I pre paid in advance for spark plug wires that were to be delivered the next morning. When I got the spark plug wires I noticed the box was not in the best of condition then I opened the box and there was grease inside of it. There was filth on the wires and they were clearly wires that had been used before. I had to go to another store 20 minutes away to get the wires that I needed. They tried to resell a pile of used junk or if it was not intentional they are morons who just don't care.

A very bad experience. I bought high-end windshield wipers ($32 for both) as recommended by the tech.on 1/26. The wipers broke during normal operation - yes, there was abit of snow and ice. Nothing more than usual. I took it back to the store. the conversation went like this - almost verbatim. "Yes?" "Hi,I bought this on 1/26 and the wiper broke off when using just now" "What did you do?" "what do you mean? Used the wiper to clean the windshield" "Was there ice?" "Yes a lil bit - nothing unusual" "Let me look it up? Year, Car and Model" "2008 Hyundai Entourage" "21.99" "I just got it..I need to pay of this?" "well, it's not designed for this kind of ice and weather" "Sorry, wasn't expecting to be charged....was expecting to get my part replaced and not charged for sub-standard/defective part that was sold" “Can’t help...do you want to take this wiper back?” “No, you can keep it.” I walked out. If I can't even trust your company/service for small items, definitely have no confidence in any part you sell. Until hear back, I will recommend to all my friends in Sayreville/Parlin/Old Bridge area NOT to go to Advanced Auto Parts and go to either AutoZone or Walmart.
