Arrived prior to close to pick up an online order. I was told Pick up area closed “early” despite them having hours until 5 and no one was helpful or sympathetic to assist.

They don't take premium membership cards, they're not really a Barnes and Noble— and 80% of the selection is just Rutgers merch, but it's a nice space. I'm really mad I bought books for leisure there and didn't get any points for it.

They dont have a wide selection of books. Mostly just “booktok” books and such. + the books are overpriced. Please for your own good dont go here for books

Has a clock donated by a previous class year. Lots of street parking when school is not in session. 2 floors of shopping. There’s a coffee shop inside. Location is easily seen from main road. Well lit at night. Lots of Rutgers clothing to buy here, although not necessarily cheap. Otherwise nice place to check out the books.

I flew out to a birthday party and found myself with a little time on my hands so I hit up the Alma Mater! While I was there I hit the Barnes and Noble at Rutgers. What a nice store! It was super clean, all the racks were tidy and you could find pretty much anything you wanted in red! Lol. It was super fun walking around and enjoying fond memories. I left with a couple of shirts, the always necessary magnetic "R" and a cool Rutgers pillow! The employees were super friendly and mostly students as usual. There's a little cafe-ish counter where I grabbed a coffee and all was well. I would have shopped even more, but luggage space was an issue. I truly enjoyed visiting this all pro store. Definitely a must see if you're in town!

Has a whole floor dedicated to Rutgers Merch. The upstairs is the best bet to go to get work done or get a book if you need some for a literature class. They also have a downstairs to pick up your books for class find yourself needing any books you can find them here.

Great cafe, great environment to work and study in, amazing books. Only thing is you have to pay for parking so bring your credit cards.

What a huge bookstore! Loved how organized it is. There is ample supply of scarlet gears. Also loved how diverse genres were.

Nice bookstore on a beautiful campus. Great variety of selections. Love the clock at the entrance!

Great bookstore, has everythingyou need. Open hours are not clear though. Parking can be challenging.

Its nice but it closes far too early. In my opinion the shop should be open till 10p-12a just because its a college town and most activity starts later on in the day.

Amazing, you can shop for Rutgers products, get something to eat or drink at the cafe inside, and check out the library upstairs, definitely recommend the manga section.

Giant mess. Wasted space. Limited hours. Rutgers can't even correctly manage a bookstore.

Great place to study, located right on college ave. Only thing is that sometimes people come in and play really loud videos on their phones and sleep, which can be distracting and disturb anyone who goes there to study.. also, there’s sometimes customer service representatives who talk very loud and laugh, giggle and chatter during their shifts, that’s fine but if I can hear people laughing and I’m all the way at the end of the upstairs room, that’s being a bit excessive on the noise level, ladies! they have a cafe downstairs with coffees and drinks and snacks and sandwiches. The bathrooms, at least the women’s bathrooms, are semi-clean. They don’t clean them often, from what I can tell; it seems like every time I go in there there’s toilet paper in the room, unflushed toilets and once I saw some menstrual blood on one of the seats. They offer free WiFi, the speed is suitable for normal computer usage. They have a huge selection of Rutgers apparel, but it’s very expensive.. $70 for a pair of red leggings with the Rutgers logo, way too expensive for some people. However, the quality is very nice, everything is Champion or just a very thick, nice fabric. Overall, it’s a great place to hang around and study, just be mindful of people who use this space to study and courteous to everyone who uses this space.

Even with Amazon I always like to visit Barnes & Noble and peruse books. The feel and smell/aroma of books is unbeatable. There is a coffee shop inside if you need a caffeine shot. You can also find a lot of Rutgers University swag. This is the place to go to for textbooks and stuff also.

This is a great bookstore at Rutgers University. As all the university gear, including sportswear, sweatshirts, and all the Rutgers swag. In addition, the bookstore is full of current books and a nice Starbucks. There are wheelchair-accessible restrooms and on-street parking. This store is located only feet away from the New Jersey Transit train station. It is a great place to take out many current titles, magazines and they also have an extensive collection of books for children.

Great spot for popular and classic novels. A lot of rugerts gear. Loved the clearance rack for books near the coffee shop. May not be the best place to study in a quiet area, but they do have some nice seating on the second floor.

Very nice staff, this is one of nicest Barnes and nobles I have ever been to. The restrooms are clean, so many sections of books and my Starbucks drink was nice and flavorful . If I lived in New Jersey this would be my go to place for Starbucks.
