I always have a great experience at Advanced Auto Parts in East Brunswick, NJ. The employees are welcoming, friendly, and super helpful. I always look forward to shopping here for my automotive needs. Most of the time, I order on the app and my stuff is always ready within a half hour or so depending on how busy the store is. The customer service is top notch and that’s hard to come by these days. If they don’t have a part in stock, they can usually have it the next day. Highly recommend!

I bought a obdii scanner and the person working did not disclose that this was a non refundable item, I didn't even use the item, this should be told it is non refundable BEFORE the purchase and not AFTER. Don't buy from here, there are a lot of scummy tactics to take ur money and dip

I went to Advance Auto Parts to get sockets for my Milwaukee M18 High Torque Impact Wrench for a brake job. The staff were super helpful and made sure I got the right sockets. When I went back to my car to remove my lug nuts, one swollen lug nut got stuck in my new socket! I came back to the store, the older gentleman kindly helped me out and got the stuck lug nut removed. Great service all around these guys know what they’re doing and actually care. Highly recommend!

Yeah, these guys have it together and Richard is great. No one else nearby Had a gas cap for my Chevy truck, but they did and I'll be back.

Walter was absolutely phenomenal with his customer care. Took my questions in and really got me the best options in and out of this store. Never again going to auto zone when Advanced auto parts has an employee like Walter! Thank you so much- will be back!

This is a UPS access point and I highly recommend you skip it. The older man who helped me was ruder than rude. He literally sat there on his phone for 5 minutes, knowing I was there, not acknowledging me. Then he told me to enter my email since it’s the only receipt I’ll get. Well their keyboard was terrible and I needed to see what I’m typing and he would not adjust the screen even slightly to help me see what the heck I’m typing. I keep saying please move the cursor so I can backspace and I swear he didn’t know what I meant. Rude, rude, rude. Just says ok you’re done, stares me down with the meanest face ever, glasses on nose like some librarian, and I walked out thinking what a miserable person. At least my package made it to its destination but I’m never coming here again. Animals get treated better. If you hate your job so much, quit.

My car wouldn't start, so after I jumped it, I brought it to Advance Auto Parts. Brian was very helpful, nice, professional, and knowledgeable. He checked my car's battery (2 yrs old), starter, and alternator and said everything looked fine. It might have been due to the cold weather and us not using the car for 4 weeks.

The staff was very nice, the youngest guy, helped me fix my back door to open, charged battery and made sure everything was good with the car..

I drove to this location to drop off a box for UPS. One employee started helping the customer who walked in right before me. I saw another employee at next register. He was typing and looking around but didn’t say anything. After a minute or so I walked over to his register, with my 3 yr old grandson, and waited. He never looked at me (he knew I was standing in front of him) continued to look around (avoiding me) and typing. I took my grandson’s hand and left. Didn’t even bother to stop me. If he had just said “I’ll be with you shortly” or even “I can’t help you right now” I wouldn’t be writing this review. What happened to courteous, polite customer service? Thank goodness there are other auto supply stores and UPS drops in area for me. I won’t be going back to this one!

Maybe I was just unlucky but I never saw so lazy guy at advanced as in this store.. not even care to check what I need Edit: If you want to go above and beyond, I got somebody that was just "under and short" There other AAP around with better customer service. I will choose that stores instead of this one. Not returning on this one again. No more customers at the store and the person sounds like just want me out of the place as soon as he could. Lunch time maybe????

I have had the pleasure of working with Evan. I can honestly say it has been some of the best customer sevice I have received. I willingly travel to this specific location to work with Evan, he ldoes his best to provide me with excellent service that I trust!! I highly recommend working with Evan at this location.

Finally, they have excellent customer service. Prior to dealing with Evan, this store was terrible. Evan, has changed that experience for me. He is very knowledgeable, pleasant, and goes above and beyond to help his costumers. This store could use a few more like him. Thank you!

They spoke the second I walked into the building. They were also knowledgeable on what I needed and got me out of the store quickly. I appreciated their service and speed.

My experience was excellent because due to Walter he knew his stuff, and was honest, he didn't just sell you something if he knew you didn't need it for your vehicle not like other employees that sell something just because of a profit he is there assist to everybody to make sure everybody is satisfied when they visit advance auto he goes above and beyond for his customers so i will recommend for everybody to come here not nowhere else and ask her for Walter.

RUDE EMPLOYEES The employee with glasses who’s older and white was so rude about my return. I didn’t have my receipt and he advise me the wrong advice saying my items can’t be returned but online it listed which items can’t be returned and my item wasn’t one of them. He said he denied my return since there is no proof of purchase but online it says i can return the item without proof of purchase. this employee has such a bad attitude and i was so nice to him the whole time, if it was someone else they would’ve given attitude back to him. I went to route 9 store immediately and they did my return easily. never coming back here every again i wish i got his name i would’ve complained to corporate. you need educated and patient employees. rude and disrespectful employees should be fired.

Very friendly snd helpful staff. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I walked in needing a nee wiper blade he helped me grab one and even helped me put it on. Could i ask for better service?

Two.very nice gentlemen helped me when I came to them in a very tight situation. It was really nice to finally have an experience where the employees cared about their job and not a cell phone. Thanks again and will be back!

Very friendly and helpful, told me exactly which part to get for my car, and it was a reasonable price. I appreciate that they always have a coupon in the clipper, and when I signed up for emails. And I was surprised that they didn't only have things for the car, there were so much there that I could use elsewhere. I will absolutely be back.

Honestly I don't think I'm going back there again. We were in search of an item and had a hard time finding it. The girl that helped us was nice but totally clueless as she had just started. The other employee gave us a hard time because the item may or may not work. I promptly asked if we could return it if it wasn't what we needed. He told us he was unsure because once its opened how will he resell it? I saw many opened packages that must have been returned on the shelves. I've never been so rejected over something so simple. AAP needs to retrain their employees not to push away customers. Also have at least one automobile person who is knowledgeable and knows what they are doing. I am very disappointed and being this is a bizarre location I expect them not to survive much longer.

I only go there for my auto needs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Any time I've had a question or needed anything they go out of their way to help me and provide the information and suggestions for what im looking for or something I may want to try along with my purchase.

Very rude customer service. Heavy set guy, Tony had a very bad attitude. Tony was unprofessional and not helpful at all. He purposely went to get the wrong item to sell it to me, then right before i was about to pay I caught on that the item he gave me was wrong. He then proceeded by telling me that it’s okay and the item will still work (KNOWING THAT THE ITEM WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL BECAUSE IT IS A COMPLETE DIFFERENT ITEM). He then gave me the rudest look when i told him that i wanted the correct item that i originally asked for. He said that “they don’t have it”, which led me to leave without buying anything. Ultimately, this is a loss of sale for this business location because now i’m going to go across the street on 18 to Pepboys to spend the original $120.00 i was planning on spending at Advanced Auto Parts for the item i needed. This employee needs to be checked. He needs to be re-trained and taught how to atleast keep it professional and respectful towards any customer at a retail job like this. What kind of retail customer service was that? Not great at all.

I spent 25 minutes for pick up my items with Employee(Txxx). I buy 1+1 item through online. But he doesn't want to give me free item even I showed him the online promotion. He just repeated "The promotion only "in-store". So I request to return items and will purchase new one in order to apply promotion in the store. But he denined. Eventually he gave me free item after he spoke with his manager. So stupid situation and waste time.

The staff is very polite and helpful with all my car needs. The man that helps me all the time is a very professional young man that is the manger in duty for the mornings and he always goes the extra mile. I saw him once help an elder woman with an issue she was having with her vehicle. He stayed after his shift to make sure she was okay. That’s real customer service.

Of the three major auto parts stores (Pep Boys, Auto Zone and Advance), I like this one the best. The quality of their aftermarket parts seem to be a little better than the others. They offer a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects on parts sold. They can be a little pricier on some of their parts than their competitors. Orders can be placed online and then picked up at the store of your choice with a 15% discount. Overall, a very good experience.
