The workers are very friendly but a few times I purchased something I would come home with expired food. If you are shopping here make sure you check the dates on EVERYTHING! They leave out things that been expired for months
It seems as if this place is selling bioengineered meats, eggs, foods. Example buy ground meat and eggs here and somewhere else. Such as a butcher shop for meats and a poultry for the eggs. Cook both and compare. The issue at hand is that they are hiding it from the public. Where it’s supposed to be published on the items what they’re actually selling. And this place is not informing its customers. The food from this place doesn’t seem to be real, it cooks differently and tastes otherwise.
Very good grocery store. A lot of fresh vegetables and fruits. Many products. Very kind and helpful workers. The one things that was missing was a shampoo and conditioner. The shelf itself was very poor. Other than that it highly recommended

I recently moved to this neighborhood and discovered La Placita Supermarket — and I absolutely love shopping here! The store is spacious, clean, and very well organized, which makes the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable.
They offer a wide variety of fresh meat, and everything looks clean and well-stocked. The produce section is also impressive — the vegetables are fresh, vibrant, and neatly displayed. You can really tell they care about quality.
One of the best things is the affordable prices. Whether you’re shopping for groceries for your family or just picking up a few things for yourself, you’ll find great deals here. There’s also a great selection of international foods, frozen goods, and hard-to-find ingredients — all in one place.

Good local supermarket, Great customer service . There is an employee called Jessica. She helped pick out fruits and vegetables and thought me how to pick them. She took the time to. Very helpful.
Like many reviewers here, I must express my disappointment with the behavior of the staff, particularly the individual who identified herself as the “manager” cashier and the owner, Jessica. The conduct I witnessed was unacceptable.
Specifically, I found the manager's response to a customer's request for personal space during a credit card transaction to be disproportionate and unprofessional. Threatening to call the police in this situation seemed unwarranted. Furthermore, the manager's subsequent outburst was highly inappropriate, especially after the customer had completed their purchase.
This type of behavior reflects poorly on the business and raises concerns about customer service and management training. I would advise potential customers to consider other establishments that prioritize respectful treatment and customer privacy. Ultimately, businesses that fail to address these issues risk losing valuable patronage. Specially in difficult economy, business should be thankful customers choose them with plenty options out there.
Ridiculously high prices. I felt robbed.
Avoid this place unless you want to pay extra $2-5 for each item. $$$
Go to Food Bazar a few blocks down, a lot more variety and lower prices.
The employee named Nayeli provides the worse customer services as a cashier, constantly she has a bad attitude, one time when I came to this location, she made a nasty comment to another customer while I was cheking out in another register, I heared how she was treating a gentleman, this location should provide a customer services training to the employees, today while I was waiting in line to proceed to Chek out my items, I saw how she almost hit a lady with a shopping cart, even she not gave any excuses to that customer, instead she made faces and again show nasty attitude.
Great supermarket. Good values. Range of items from international foods to organics. Lots of fresh vegetables, and some interesting features that I normally don't see at a grocery store.
Love this little supermarket! But recently i noticed some stuff they sell were expired, so be very careful when shopping. On another note, now they took the plastic bags, now you pay for papers I believe it was $.25 each, or $1 for a cloth one.
Unfortunately i never had to buy the last pieces of ham before. Instead of opening a new ham so I can buy half a pound I had to buy a quarter pound of less than half of pound of ham left. The meat guy said it needs to be sold with an attitude. Very unfortunate because I shop there daily.
How is it that you go to this place to buy groceries a little cheaper and u find sodas cheaper at the restaurant next door than here and it's not a supermarket SMH..
La placita is not bad to shop, but food prices there have gone up. I don't like cashiers there because they don't give me time to pack up my items and mix my stuff with other people behind me so I have to rush to put my stuff in my bags. The least that I like about this place is that the outside is enclosed from all sides I guess they are iron bars or protectors, but they were put in a way that big shopping carts can't get through there.
Always fresh produce at good prices as well as specials on various groceries and good selection of meat. They also sell beer. Small latin supermarket but usually not overcrowded.
Super convenient market near us …super clean and neatly stocked items. Produce and a butcher for meats in the back. Nice size parking lot for this area as well!
Excellent store whether you need something quick or to do full on food shopping. Amazing prices and even has a store loyalty card with extra deep discounts to be had. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable with patience yet no long lines due to most any typical slow ups.
Great place to shop local in area. Just wished some of the dudes there who smoke outside would smoke somewhere else. Second you approach the door there's always a hit of smoke in front of you or some guy only a foot or two away smoking near ya. Overall good meat good selection
Everything is flawless, clean and stocked to the max, unfortunately l haven't been able to find the ingredient I'm looking for, that's the only place I've ever found it
Just when you think they won't have something, they do. You can find milk alternatives (oat and almond) and staple organic produce and food items. I went to get salt, and to my surprise, they had Himalayan Pink Salt! When the pandemic first hit, we couldn't get Whole Foods deliveries for months; they were open and provided us with everything we needed. Grateful to have them around the corner from us. If I want to cook Latin food, they have everything I need.
We always come from a long distance to buy argentine products at La Placita! Staff is friendly and helpful, the store is clean and will stocked, and the prices are fine.
I went there for shopping groceries and I parked my car in the lot for customers. I had to go to another place around the corner after shopping and when I came back my car was being towed. I showed them my receipt but the guy said that once I left the supermarket I had no right to be parked in the lot because I was tresspassing. Then a policeman arrived and said the same thing and put a ticket in my car’s winshield. The policeman was laughing with the other guy on me after I had to pay 200 dollars plus 37 dollars for the ticket...only for going to the PLACITA SUPERMARKET to buy groceries.
Some staff hardly speak formal English causing dissaray and dissatisfaction, unable to cater to diverse cutural that is emerging locally. They aew unable to admit nor do they want to dissapoint by giving diff product. Yes they cater to South American clientle and welcomes they more than others .So therfore i see some discriminatory attitudes besdes some unprofesionalism and or rudeness and lack of courtesy ..That's my experience..Attitudes of senior staff is reflected and copied by other staff.. Don'e expect to have our problems at the store solved all the times as lower staff are young adults just learinin about working life Thank you.
Well presented supermarket with a good selection of food products from a variety of Latin american countries, but a bit pricey. Cashiers not always that friendly.
Perfect neighborhood supermarket. Small and intimate with a wide variety of Latin American products. Excellent produce section that is cheap and always fresh. Also has a butcher department. If you're looking for Italian or Asian delicacies, this may not be your place but they have the basics. Friendly staff.
