We came here to search for 'western costume' clothing with my daughter and son-in-law in Midland Park. We all found exactly what we wanted. It's a bit chaotic whrn you first arrive until you get the lay of the land, but perfect after that. They have EVERYTHING!! I loved the randomness of it all. A lot of vintage, unique and quirky stuff as well as quality with reasonable pricing. Cash only!! They do have an ATM on site.

Picking through the bins is always a lot of fun. On several occasions, I've stumbled upon some great "true vintage" pieces which is always a pleasant surprise Side note: I've been going to Udelco since I was 16, way back when it was located in Orangeburg, NY. I'm 63 now and still at it. Old thirfters never die, it just takes them longer to dig through the bins ?

Decided to give this a shop a browse since I was in the area. Very hard to find at the end of a run down parking lot. Very old, no clear signage. While I was browsing an old man approached me and yelled at me "why do you people always do this." I was very confused and he proceeded to tell me that people always end up in these areas where we're not supposed to be... And then said whatever it's okay I can have the item I was just looking at in my hand... There's no clear registers ringing up area, no "employees only" sign. How was i supposed to know it was a restricted area... The entire shop is a warehouse lol... A shame because I just texted my partner to let him know this was such a cool shop and he should come check it out. Will never be returning.

Found the place online with my friend. We were so excited to go, but unfortunately disappointed. Didn't find much and rude employees.

Overwhelming in the best way! I was bowled over by the insane quantity of donated materials they had, and more importantly, how organized it all was!!!! This was not some bargain bin with stained crap thrown in- these were nice quality clothes, sorted very specifically and resold for a VERY reasonable price. My eco-conscious heart swooned. I even got a bunch of fabric, how cool is that!!! Loved it and can’t wait to come back to keep digging. The staff were friendly and patient too, very hands off but if you needed help they’d be happy to oblige.

Great selection and prices . Nice locally owned store. Slightly disorganized due to its nature . Bought a pair of work type boots for $15 dollars in great shape only minor discoloration,some shoe polish fixed it right away

Go in planning, you will be spending your time picking through the miniboxes to find something that you're looking for. While there are some items on hangers and easily visible, most things you will be digging through boxes looking for things.

Went here with a friend of mine and our teenage kids. Definitely needed more time to explore, but you can definitely find many things here!! I’d say pricing is a bit higher than other thrift locations, but then again prices have gone up everywhere nowadays!! It is CASH only, but I saw an ATM there. We were wanting to see camo & hunting style clothes. So many boxes!!! My son wanted to look through a box, but it was placed at the very top shelf. In the end we walked away with a pair of men’s shorts, 2 genuine leather belts with interesting buckles, and small accessories totaling to $40. Would I visit again? Yes! But possibly during a time when I know it won’t be crowded.

A magical place! What makes this place so unique, is that it is rather chaotic, (in the same way that one of those "I spy" books you might have read as a child were). It isn't the best as far as organization haha, and yes everything is just piled in boxes, but it makes it all the more fun. I personally scored some really unique, authentic military uniforms from this place, as well as a huge selection of other random pieces. Their prices are not the cheapest, but that's okay, cuz when you find that super unique Joe Camel, windbreaker that your uncle had 40 years ago, for $15, it's well worth it. To all those saying it smells like cigarettes, grow up lmao

Huge thrift store with a lot of clothes organized by boxes. Honestly, not worth visiting. The prizes are definitely not good for a thrift store and the fact that you have to dig through so much stuff to find something does not help. Probably the cheapest things you can find are for 5$ (e.g. rings) but usually sweaters, jeans etc can be 7$-15$ which in my opinion is not worth it when you have other huge second-hands/charity shops that are better organized (on the racks) and have the same stuff for cheaper.

I've been coming here on recommendation from a friend. I like how it's organized - you have some of your more choice items hanging up and easy to access, but also much, MUCH more if you're willing to look. Part of the fun is definitely in sifting through the boxes looking for what you want. All of their bins and boxes are labeled, so you can peruse for a certain type of item instead of aimlessly looting through piles. Unfortunately for myself I'm extremely picky so I haven't found many items I fancy, but I will keep coming back to find them! The prices are more than fair, making it well worth it if you can find what you're looking for. They have lots of jeans and leather goods if you're especially looking for great deals on those.

I have been shopping at Udelco since at least 2011 so I figured it was about time to leave a review. If I could leave 6 stars I would. The shopping experience is easy as the way everything is organized you can find exactly what you are looking for. I am a wardrobe designer and stylist with very specific ideas when I’m shopping. So, for me, I already know what I want and 10/10 times I find it here as the boxes are clearly and specifically marked with what the contents are. I have moved away over the years but my job has me traveling now and I always plan the detour to shop twice a year when I’m in NYC. Renting a car for the day or even ubering either a few friends is worth the cost when the cost of stuff is so fair. I have a friend who lives in LA but now only shops here since he is rather tall, and it’s the only place he has EVER found jeans that fit. Note: they have a kids and a big&tall vintage section. I’ve brought numerous celebrity clients to shop and they all have left with huge hauls and continue to come back. Here is what to expect: everything is as is. But that’s the beauty of it all. I’ve found paint splattered denim cargos that would sell for $100’s in the city from a designer brand for $15. My favorite denim pieces, all from here. I’ve found pieces with the vintage tags still on it. I get the most compliments on a pair of deadstock cargos I got my last trip, so this trip I bought them in every color they had. I’ve found pieces that needed a little tlc or tailored but well worth it when they are staples in my closet. I travel the world shopping and my best vintage finds have come from here and Japan. Pro tips: bring cash and some reusable shopping bags to carry your stash.

Brother and I we’re extremely excited to go, Ive always passed it going through Hawthorne so we were excited to finally go. We walked in, and its gonna have that “old” smell too it which it does. My brother and I start looking around, and everything is literally just trash compiled in boxes. Some things we’re just hard to pull out cause they were stuffed under 8 piles of clothes. It reeked of cigarettes and all the clothes we’re just dirty. I get that its “vintage” but it really just was just old dirty clothes with no vintage feel to it. They should really get rid of the boxes and just do hangers. Super disappointed.

If you like digging in boxes for possible vintage clothing that this is your place. No air conditioning, I felt bad for the employees. Clothes are over priced and not at all very vintage. Worth the trip but never again. I find better items at church thrift stores!

For warehouse/dig room conditions, the prices are too high. You really have to put in a lot of effort sifting through cardboard boxes in a dusty, humid environment. People smoke in there too, and with lack of climate control, it stinks to high heavens. I could not stop coughing. If items were sorted better, hung up and presented nicely, the prices would be a bit more justified. But 90% of the items are in big cardboard boxes straight off the pallets. The boxes are labeled sloppily in black sharpie, with several scribbled out previous labels, so it's barely legible. Sorted by the type of garment and time period, not by size. Not plus size friendly, as most of the items were a very small size. Not to mention I felt myself being met with stares and glares from all the thin hippy-dippy college girls. Prices are marked on a whiteboard by the entrance. I suggest taking a photo of it before entering so you don't have to keep walking back and forth. In theory, it is a pretty cool place, especially if you are into vintage clothing and digging for a deal, but, too expensive for the amount of work involved.

Interesting experience. A hidden gem that’s tucked away in a corner, didn’t expect it to be so huge! It’s mostly bins-style, so be prepared to dig around for finds. Plenty of clothes separated into different categories, vinyls, shoes etc. Found a gorgeous real fur shawl plus a wool coat amongst other things. Prices aren’t incredibly cheap, but not expensive.

You will find unique pieces. I found my dream cardigan and leather jacket here. Staff is friendly!.

I've gone to about 10-15 thrift/consignment shops throughout NJ and this is probably the worse one I have ever went to. I'm an observant person and didn't see the price list, apparently it was as soon as you enter. Maybe posting them in the larger main room would be better. Secondly, people smoke there, I am very sensitive to the smell so I knew someone was smoking somewhere. If you enjoy digging through cardboard boxes this is the place for you. I was aware of this prior but wanted to try it out. My daughter and her friend came along as well. While I understand these are used clothes why wouldn't you at least clean out the pockets. I purchased a very beat up jacket, had a hole on one of arms, was supposed to be $20, I looked at the guy and said to myself are you serious? He took 50% off, fine, but the jacket was probably worth $5 not $10. I went to wash the jacket and it had a Walmart receipt and used tissues in the pockets. Some may think this place is inexpensive but compared to the other 10-15 places I've been to it's a major ripoff. The other places are at least inviting and on hangers and no used tissues in pockets. This place is bare minimum so I would think since it's in a dusty, dirty warehouse it would reflect in their prices. A pair was very used jeans $10, should be a few bucks, again I compare to the other places I have been to. My daughter wanted to purchase these items so I said okay, but I do know I probably won't ever go back. Two final notes, they only accept cash, I knew this prior but wanted to make others aware and no fitting rooms. If prices were cheaper then maybe I would give it another chance and look past the dust and dirt and pockets with used tissues.

very happy with this store. if you don’t want to sift through boxes to find stuff, i don’t recommend shopping here, but in my opinion that’s all part of the fun. yes, it can take some digging, but i’ve had some really great finds here. they have great flannels, they have a lot of sweaters and sports/ college sweaters. they also have a pretty good selection of pants. some of their items are damaged or stained, but i personally am willing to overlook a small stain if i like the clothing enough. they have a lot of unique finds, and a lot of genuinely vintage clothing.

I think the place is great! It's definitely for hardcore thrift shoppers. We have found fun treasures there, but yes, you have to dig..but that's what it is all about! Our favorite? A sweater dress that has Christmas penguins all over it. OMG-LOVE IT!

A nice spot for pretty much any variety of vintage/used clothing you can imagine. I love that everything is in labeled bins and it’s kind of like a treasure hunt digging through to find what you like! I have found many great pieces here over the years. Now during the pandemic the wait to get in can get a little long but it’s worth it. The only downside is that you don’t really know how much you’re spending until you get to the register, but I often walk away with a whole bag full for under $100.

This place is a fun experience for unique vintage peices. I appreciate the specific labels on the boxes (ex: 80's windbreakers, prairie dresses) but it is hard work to sort through the boxes. Someone who is short would have a big problem reaching many if the boxes and would need an employees help. The prices are not the best but finding such unique pieces makes it worth it. The place reeks of cigarettes and is dusty. Even if Covid wasn't a factor, I would recommend using a mask regardless for the dust. My fave purchase from there is a $10 "drug rug" blanket that I use for picnics.

Used to be a lot better. I have had multiple times where they will just come up with a price for something on the spot, and it's never consistent. Somehow this became a popular spot and I could be wrong but it seems like over the years because of this they've raised prices. Either way, especially during a pandemic, digging through used clothes that a billion other people have touched just isn't the best layout especially when you still have to pay a decent amount for a fair share of the items. I haven't had many pleasant experiences with people that work there either, they never really seem happy to be there. It makes me really sad because I used to love Udelco a lot. It's definitely worth checking out at least once to form your own opinion on it though.

One of my favorite spots for thrifting. Their selection is insane and the prices are always low. I bought of lot of my favorite articles of clothing here: a beautiful floral patchwork skirt, a vintage oversized denim jacket, patches, and even a yoga blanket. If you come here, be ready to dig through boxes. Because of the massive inventory, you have to go through many boxes to find the real gems, but they’re well worth the hunt. I spent a good two hours digging and trying clothes on, but it was a fun way to revamp my wardrobe! You can find so many clothes without dropping a fortune!

If you like a good hunt, don't mind digging through big bins to find treasure, and like vintage clothing, you will love this place! It's absolutely huge! Very reasonable prices. Like any good vintage or second hand store, sometimes you find nothing, sometimes you come out with armfuls! Actually fairly well organized, everything from prairie skirts to denim blazers to parachute pants to dress shirts to vintage dress shirts, cowboy boots, scarves, etc. Lots of clothes for both men and women.
