My daughter slid on black ice and hit a curb which damaged the steering on her Kia EV6. The dealer quote was honestly shocking. I brought it to Hawthorne Auto Lab and spoke with Paul Adler. Paul diagnosed it properly and it needed the rrack and pinion replaced which is what the dealer told me. However Paul did it for about half of what the dealer wanted!
The car now drives exactly the way it was before the accident. The steering feels normal again and everything is back the way it was. On top of that, one of the wheels was deeply gashed from the impact. Paul had it refinished and it looks just like brand new. Seriously would never know it was damaged.

Spoke to Paul regarding engine light and no power on my BMW. Mind you I had already went to 2 different shops and was told they could not find the problem I would have to go to a BMW dealer. Great service. Able to do a repair for us for much cheaper than the dealership. They were able to finish in only a couple days and even followed up later to make sure everything was ok. Would def recommend using them in the future

I really wanted to have a good experience here, but unfortunately, it was very frustrating. I brought my Jeep in for what I thought would be a straightforward repair, but the bill ended up being much higher than expected. Even worse, I had to bring the car back two more times because new issues kept coming up after the initial work. Each visit meant taking time off work and being without a car, which was very stressful. After spending so much time and still not having the problem fixed, I now have to find another shop to get things done right. My car is not old so these occurring issues seemed to start after their work on my car began. I had asked if there was anything else they could do to help with this inconvenience, but they were not willing to work with me. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for reliable service or fair pricing.
I have been going to Hawthorne Auto Lab for 4 years and never had a problem. However, last November they changed my front tires and brakes. I paid for Mopar parts which are not cheap. A couple months ago, the brakes started squeaking so i had them check on it. They said that everything looks great and the brakes are fine. But they were still squeaking. I had my work mechanic check my brakes and the pads were completely used. I only drove with these pads for 17K miles and they should have not been used up so fast. (normal usage is 30K to 70K miles). We have 4 cars that we take there for regular oil changes and mechanical issues, but we are not going back anymore.
Needed work done to my car for the longest time and was holding off. The owner was very upfront and knowledgeable after an assessment was done to see what was wrong. It’s been several weeks and I couldn’t be more satisfied since I drive all week for work. Will definitely be back. Upfront service / no bs is the type of businesses you want to go back to. My family found a new local mechanic for sure.
Brought my car in to get a tire checked out that kept losing air on and off. The team at Hawthorne Auto Lab was super helpful and professional — they took their time to check all my tires, quickly added air, and even diagnosed my vehicle on the spot. Despite how busy the shop was, everything ran smoothly and the place was impressively clean and organized for an auto shop. Love what they’ve done with the place. I stop at Hawthorne Auto lab this morning because I went to get my state inspection. My license plate on the rear of my car and the screw that holds it in place was completely stripped. Paul the owner was freaking amazing. He was able to remove the old screws and place both front and back plates for me. I highly recommend this place. Thank you to Paul and Tony.

I recently had my valve cover gaskets replaced at Hawthorne Auto Lab, and I’m really impressed with the service. Not only did they do a great job, but their pricing was also very reasonable compared to other shops I checked.
Paul and his amazing staff was professional, explained the process clearly, and didn’t try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. The work was done on time, and my car has been running great ever since. It’s hard to find an honest and reliable shop these days, but Hawthorne Auto Lab definitely delivered.

Great service. My phone call was answered in seconds and they gave me an appointment same day. They offer complementary coffee and a nice waiting area. Extremely clean bathrooms and great customer service. I was in and out with in one hour. I highly recommend. The Manager has excellent auto knowledge.

Cannot recommend this place enough! They are always so nice and do amazing work at a great price. Recently my car died and needed a new battery before I went away on vacation. Tony was able to squeeze me in and replace my battery right before they closed. I cannot thank Hawthorne Auto Lab enough for always being incredible!

You're shocked when you get the bill because it's far less than anticipated. I've had many good mechanics and service centers in my 50+ years of driving and in all honesty this is the best.
This place is a Godsend. I cannot tell you how pleased I am by their determination, honesty, and customer service. My car had a check engine light and many codes were coming up, but instead of taking my money (a lot of it..) without getting to the root of the problem they went above and beyond to solve it and that they did!!! Well, I've been using these guys for almost 15 yrs now, well before they moved to their current location. The owner Don is a great guy that you can trust to take care of your cars. They have maintained both our Land Rover Discovery and Mazda Miata exclusively and I can honestly say that both vehicles are in tip top shape thanks to them. Work is great, staff is professional and prices are fair!
