Best Shop around Hands down. Always respectful never tries to take advantage of you and tells you straight forward on what it needs and very trustworthy. Highly recommend. It's the only place I take my vehicles.
Hands down, the best place to get your car worked on. Whether it be something simple, or complex- it is done efficiently and thoroughly. I'll never bring my vehicles anywhere else to get worked on.

I came to Wayne (Owner) after going to a number of other auto repair places in Newport, all of them with VERY mixed results. I can honestly say that I would not consider going anywhere else now. Thorough, skilled, and reasonably priced work.
My mother-in-law spend her summers in Newbury, NH and I always take her car to Auto Showplace for it to be checked to make sure that there it does not have any problems. Wayne checks the car each year and if there is anything outstanding he lets us know before he does any work. His workmanship is hard to equal and his honesty and fairness are hard to find elsewhere. He charges for the time spent on the job and does not include all of the other penny-ante crap that other repair shops are prone to do. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Ended up going to Auto Showplace after a bad experience with another local mechanic. Wayne (the owner) is fair, honest, and very well priced. I've been using his services for the past 3 years now and could not recommend him any more highly!
