The Children's Museum is such an incredible place to visit. There's so much to do and see that it's worth visiting regularly. The staff are friendly, the facility is well laid out and the "exhibits" have something for everyone. Fun for all ages and I'd highly recommend purchasing a Museum passport to save money as well as open up opportunities to visit other participating museums. Highly recommend!

Exceeded expectations! I brought my 11mo and 3yo and I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the play areas and bathrooms. The designs and layout were so thoughtful and beautiful. Also, staff was so polite and helpful. We will definitely be back!

They have a little bit of everything here. They have a craft room here where they do an activity with the kids. They have a ramp and elevator so it is wheelchair accessible. They have a mail room to play in. Vet clinic. They have an outside area to do paint and chalk. They have a dinosaur area. Kitchen. A cute dancing area to make a video. A farming area to collect eggs as well as garden to take corn and carrots. Pretend of course. They have a car racing area and magnet tile area as well as puppets. They also have a cool play submarine. Outside when you leave they have a playground and in summer a water area. I didn’t give the full 5 stars because of the time limit You either choose morning or afternoon cause they close in the middle. You can choose both but if you’re driving from far away it doesn’t make sense to wait around and pay for another session. So we felt rushed to make sure we got everything in at the museum. I know they did this due to Covid and to make sure there isn’t too many people at once. There’s pro and cons to everything. I would go here again though. Very nice place. Make sure you go to your local library and get discounted tickets though. It was good for my 2yr old all the way to my 10yr old

The museum is fantastic! But, giving a five minute warning before closing is a disaster waiting to happen. It does not give parents enough time to prepare their children that they will have to leave. Remind parents before entering the time of the closing and give a 30 warning!

Unfortunately the cost of the birthday here is not worth it. They don't let you in until four on the dot. They also won't let you use the party room any earlier than a half hour, unless you want to be kicked out of the activity areas early. This leaves you with not enough time for food, cake, presents, or much of a party at all. They then kick you out at exactly six. I asked for an extra ten minutes to maybe let my five year old open presents, and they said no. You pay $400+ for two hours where the staff does nothing except stand there and be sticklers. I wish I spent that money elsewhere. What a disappointment.

So much to do and see here. There's something for all ages. Nice playground outside too!

Haven't been here since they updated the exhibits to include interactive farm animals and a volcano/lava area. Love it! Glad they're using that space now. We just signed up for a new annual membership and I'm excited to start going frequently again with my now 3 year old and my elementary kids.

Fabulous place to bring young kids and grandkids! They limit the amount of people who can be in there so there's not a problem getting kids into the exhibits. Mostly hands-on activities which the kids just love. Recommend making reservations as they can fill up.

First visit for me but 3rd visit for our grandchildren. They loved the new formula house area. This museum is awesome! Lots of helpful staff. Clean restrooms and large coat room. We highly recommend.

We love this place!! It's so perfectly central to anything in Dover. The park, the mill shops, easy parking and walking. Love the staff and the toys in the gift shop are generally SOOO low priced. The prices could definitely get better displayed as I would have bought more had I know they were so inexpensive. Become a member it's so worth it.

We got a pass from our Library, so our tickets were half off. Definitely make a reservation on the museum's website and note they are closed from 12-1 so you can do the 9-12 time slot or 1-4. We brought our 11 month old daughter who is learning to walk and she LOVED it. They have a section for three and under with lots to do and explore. There is parking behind the building but keep in mind it is metered spaces. There also is a playground right there which was cute. We will definitely be back and highly recommend for others with littles!

Love this place! Great price for tickets compared to other museums, and has kept my daughter entertained at ages 2, 3, and 4 and I think will for a few more years. There’s a really great section for babies and young toddlers upstairs and plenty to do for all ages downstairs. TBH I have fun with half of the things too. Playground outside is awesome too!

I visited with my 8 month old baby today, and we spent about an hour there. There’s a variety of cool exhibits for kids of all ages to enjoy, but most are geared towards walking and independent kids, which I figured going into the visit. There is a space at the top floor of the museum for little ones, and a section of that appears to be geared towards babies. There’s padded mats to sit, crawl (and tumble) on, baby-friendly toys like an activity cube, board books, soft puppets and mirrors. There’s a practice pull-to-stand bar and a soft foam thing for them to sit on. This was my baby’s favorite area because it’s also the most calm and quiet in the whole museum (during our visit). The other side of the little kids area had some tunnels to crawl through, and a cool k’nex roller coaster to watch among other things. For those visiting with babies, note that near this area there’s also a private nursing room with a door. We didn’t need to use it but I was happy to see it there. My baby also enjoyed playing with the musical instruments downstairs and watching the various exhibits with screens and lights as well as touching the textures. All in all I’d say it was worth one visit with a baby, and we will plan to return and play more once she is walking independently and can experience more.

We’ve been members for 3 years now. We continue to renew our membership each year because no matter the age or interest, there is something for everyone here! The staff are all great, and are amazing with the kids. Their ever changing calendar of events and updates to exhibits keep us excited to come back! I highly recommend to any parents in the area looking for something fun to do that’s appropriate and educational, bonus you don’t have to be the one cleaning up after ?

Seems small but there's lots to do especially for kids up to 10 years old. I wish adults didn't have to pay. There are some discounts if they apply to you. For example SNAP and WIC card holders pay $3.50 per person. It's recommended to reserve a spot in advance. They offer morning hours or afternoon hours. Take advantage and go as soon as they open for the morning session at 9am or at 1pm for the afternoon session.

The Children's Museum of New Hampshire in Dover has street parking with some handicap parking right in front of the entrance to the place. It is a good idea to get your tickets online before you arrive as well. Before you even enter, there's a few advantages the kids can explore and see... don't want to give everything away hehe. Once you get in you check in with the front desk, and then you are off to explore. They have two floors full of fun. From fishing ? to making music ? exploring dinosaurs ? , crafting, mini dinner ?, and of course racetracks ? ? a few more advantages oh but that's just the first floor! You have to climb the winding trail leading upstairs, and many more amazing adventures await the kiddos. Make sure you check every turn and see everything up there because there are more things if you keep going til the end. It is definitely an amazing place for the kids, and Kool for the adults to explore with them as well. They also have a small gift shop before you leave. We will definitely be back. I give this place thumbs ? ?

Lots of fun educational opportunities for kids to explore. My little one loves every minute of being there. I love that they regularly host a sensory friendly playtime. Parking in Downtown Dover is a bit rough so be prepared to pay for parking.

Great place for kids. My daughter fully enjoyed the 3 hour time period we were there. So many different activities and all hands on. The dinosaur exhibit and the post office were personal favorites of ours. The submarine and create your own “fliers” station were close seconds. We went in January so the outside play park we did not visit but it looked like a great place for kids.

We have been to several children’s museum and this one was very enjoyable. There were activities each of my three kids enjoyed. I appreciated that there were a few electronic exhibits sprinkled throughout but that the museum did not lean unnecessarily on technology. On days the outside patio is open, there is water play so consider bringing an extra shirt or change of clothes for little ones. We did have to circle once to find parking so look that up before you go so you know what your options are. The museum is only open in three hour sections and you buy your tickets this way. Other museums do this but it bothers me because it prevents kids from lingering. We would have loved to eat lunch outside on the grass and go back in, but with their hours and policies this is not an option. There is also a playground right there that is not well advertised, it was my first time to the area and another mom approached me asking for directions, so it is obviously confusing.

The exhibits are all very hands-on and very well maintained. Really promotes imaginative play. Our 6 year old and 20 months old both had plenty to see and do and loved it. A favorite was the area where they could pretend to be beavers and build a play dam. They were occupied for the entire time we were there and didn't want to leave! Great small area for very little babies and tots. Would highly recommend this Children's Museum.

I went here with my family on a rainy Saturday. It was quite busy and this place requires a ticket purchase in advance. I did appreciate the number of benches available all throughout the museum. The girls loved all of the exhibits. Each of them is themed and promotes imaginative play for children. I especially enjoyed the sand topography station over in the dinosaur area.

We loved it here. I have a 1 and a 3 year old and will be going back to do all the things we didn't have time to do on our first visit. The museum was clean and staff was friendly.

This place is awesome. I (17) came with my two younger cousins and genuinely enjoyed some of the stuff they had to do. There is a wide variety of activities for any kids interests. This is definitely worth a stop and is a great rainy day activity.

This is a lovely museum experience for smaller children. Lots of hands-on activities and spaces for creative play. Some areas get trashed pretty quickly (ie they need to be "reset" for the experience). It is small in size but there are probably 20 different activity locations within. Buy a ticket slot for entry time. Street parking. Playground next door is nice.

We brought our granddaughters to the museum today and they had a blast! Plenty of things to do and learn. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. Overall, a great experience!

I used to bring my kids here when they were much younger. The multilevels and interactive displays they really seem to enjoy. They loved the noise walls where they can just slap paddles and produce sounds. My son really enjoyed the small cubicle they had upstairs where he could just sit quietly and play with the toys. I haven't been for a while. My kids got older and they don't seem to enjoy it as much. They still have every first Sunday an event open to for special needs children which they can visit for free. I did the Jingle Bell Express with my daughter. We got to ride in a double-decker bus. We went to the Cochecho Country Club and we listened to a quick story of the Polar Express. We had an opportunity to have our photo taken with Santa with donuts and refreshment were served. My daughter got a little gift, a silver bell. The staff were very friendly. They did a great job with the special needs children. Children's Museum is geared for more younger children. Teenagers might have not as much fun as small children or toddlers. I still would recommend a visit.
