My family and I have been coming to Garrison City Auto for years now. Rod is my go-to for any car repair, minor or major. He is reliable, knowledgeable, and kind, and I couldn’t recommend a better shop.

I’ve taken a couple of my cars here in the past after being price gouged by other shops and Garrison’s has always been kind and heard me out with my concerns about my car. Most recently I brought my Volkswagen in because I heard rattling when I went over bumps on the road and it concerned me enough to have it looked at. They took it for two test drives and lifted it, they couldn’t find the culprit of the noise and said everything looked fine. Told me to call if I hear it again or if it gets worse, to come back. While I was driving home I heard the rattle while going over train tracks, I got under my car a little when I got home and just touched where I thought I could hear the noise and a ton of dirt rocks and pebbles fell out of a plastic sheath covering the metal parts of my car, needless to say I feel silly about taking my car in over pebbles.. But they’re truly genuine kind guys running a great business. I’d recommend them to anyone!

I’ve been to multiple independent shops and dealerships in the area; garrison city auto has been the best blend of knowledge, trustworthiness, and value.

What used to be a decent workshop turned out into a place to avoid at all cost. Dana used to be a decent person to deal with, but recently he showed unnecessary attitude and anger towards a very normal conversation. I believe there are better workshops out there who really appreciates your business and presence than this one who could not have a casual normal conversation about a car issue without dumping a lot of unnecessary attitude and hostile attitude. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I was dropping off a customer's vehicle and asked the guy from the shop where to drop it. He told me to go around the block and come back. I told him I would wait in the street as I had to get to other jobs. He got my face, screaming and putting his hand in my face. As a business owner, I know for this guy to lose his temper over something this small is super unprofessional. This does relate to an experience at this buisness, and it is a warning for customers to be careful what they say to this guy.

Dont know if its the owner or an employee but he was super unprofessional and has serious anger issues. I wouldn't recommend if you say the wrong thing he will flip out on you. His lot was over filled and told us to drive around the neighborhood and come back so he could clear a spot, told him that we would just wait in the street, we had other things to do and he flipped out, screaming, got real close and put his hand in my boyfriends face. We ended up leaving and he was still in his parking lot screaming. This was scary especially with our kid with us.

Never been disappointed with the work I have had completed on my car here. Very reasonable pricing and always try to accommodate me where possible. I am so happy I found this garage to treat my aging vehicle. Dana and staff you rock!

Can’t recommend this place more! Dana gave me an estimate over the phone and was very nice the whole phone call. He got my car done within a day and at a fair price. Will be taking my car to him from now on!

Can’t recommend them enough. Dana will not only explain what’s going on with your car and tell you if you really need something done or not, but when a repair is needed he’ll fix it without any add-ons that dealers try to push you into - for a lot less money, too.

Would give ten stars if i could! Awesome experience with A+++ customer service! I was having an oil leak and needed to replace my oil filter housing. Dana gave me an estimate over the phone and when I dropped it off the job was completed quickly and was less than the estimate. After the repair, the following day my check engine light came on and I called him and he told me to bring it right in. He diagnosed the issue and stood by his work and told me it was a vacuum leak due to a gasket that ripped during the repair and fixed the issue without cost and did it fast, too! Would highly recommend! Couldn't be happier and it's a breath of fresh air knowing theres an honest, dependable mechanic I can go to without being gouged or sold on unnecessary parts or repairs! Thanks again, Dana!

Dana has a top rate shop and I could not be more thankful for the service he provided us. Having my daughter attend UNH while living out of state could have been a bad situation. He completed a brake failure at a much too fair cost, and tested the vehicle knowing a young woman would be driving. So thankful and can’t recommend enough.

Incredible guest service! I had a stripped bolt keeping my bike rack on my hitch, and he spent 20 mins getting it off (had to use an air chisel and eventually had to melt it off). No charge, he said he's just happy he could help. But now I can use the bike rack on another car and I'm so happy!

Dana and his team are amazing! I have called with concerns about my car, and he has fit me into tight schedules more than once to take a look and give me some peace of mind. You can trust Dana and his team will give you a fair price, always paired with kind and honest customer service. I cannot recommend Garrison City Auto enough.

I called Dana about a potential battery issue I was having with my Audi. He asked me to bring it by but would likely need to leave it to be diagnosed. Once I arrived, he and his service tech came right out to check it. Identified it was the battery! Had a battery! And installed! So quick and responsive! And friendly! I was out of there in less time that it takes to make and receive your order at Starbucks! Amazing how customer conscience they are!!

Talk about amazing!! Dana and his crew were outstanding. They were able to get my truck in and fixed in a timely manner. They are honest and fair mechanics and I would highly recommend them!!

Dana and crew are some of the most honest and best mechanics around. I needed brakes sooner than later and they were able to accommodate me despite being booked out for weeks. Never felt like I was getting the runaround or sold things I didn’t need. Highly recommended!

This is a top quality shop. The service is excellent. They diagnosed and corrected a problem on my Nissan that two other shops and the dealer could not fix. Dana wants to make sure that you are happy with their service. Recommend 100%. Dana is a wonderful man and he cares about his work and the customers. Such a pleasant experience for sure.

I found this place online and the reviews were spectacular! I drove in to do a simple state inspection, after having just gotten my out-of-state car registered today. Dana kindly came out to greet me and said that he would like to try to fit me in today, (within an hour or two), as they are booked for 2 weeks out! I left my car there and they called me within the hour, that my car was ready to go! $50 bucks later, passing inspection and I was legal! Thank you for the incredible customer service and friendly, expedient business practice that I experienced today! I highly recommend these guys and will continue to give my patronage to them!

Cannot say enough good things about Dana and his team and the quality of service we've received at Garrison City Auto. As someone who isn't very mechanically inclined, you can only hope you won't be hosed when taking a car in for servicing. Dana has always charged a very fair price and has kept our car running exceptionally well. He is so helpful, honest, upfront, and commits to the timelines he provides. We've since moved out of Dover, but will continue to return to this business given the trust we have in them!

Dana is amazing. I am a broke college student with an old Kia Soul that gives me my freedom. When I heard a grinding noise coming from the ‘ol girl, I knew I was doomed. That is, until I called Dana. He is friendly, and personable, and he sympathized with the fact that I was desperately trying to get my car fixed at a reasonable price. He replaced my rear brakes in no time for less than half the price one of his competitors quoted me. And he did a top notch job, I mean seriously. The man is amazing and he knows what he’s doing. GO DANA!!! ❤️

Dana is amazing!! He is very knowledgeable and reasonable. I took my Prius for new brakes, headlight and state inspection. I had a wait a few days but he did a great job and fair price. I would recommend him 100%

Dana is hands down the best mechanic I know. Been using him for years and he never disappoints. No up selling and amazing diagnostic. Got a wheel bearing replaced on my Camry with great service, a quick turn around, and no one could touch the price. Exactly what you want out of your go to mechanic! Can’t recommend him enough.

I trust Dana at GCA fully. I've owned two relatively rare cars and when he can't fix something, he'll tell you to take your car to another business but he KNOWS the businesses nearby who can be relied on. He's fair on price, extremely nice, and I have never found him to make promises he can't keep. He also has an assistant who is as good a man as Dana is. I fully recommend.

I can't underscore enough how awesome the Garrison City Automotive team is. Dana (the owner) and Rodney (my mechanic) are the nicest, most reasonable guys I have ever met. When I moved to Dover a year ago, I was apprehensive about finding a new, trustworthy auto repair shop. Rodney and Dana have made the whole experience so enjoyable that I look forward to bringing my car in now. They are honest, straightforward, trustworthy, and incredibly fair. Plus, they somehow seem to remember their clients and establish personal relationships despite running a busy business. I have brought my car in a few times now for different things and each time it's been a fantastic experience. I always feel like I am in good hands with their team and now can't imagine bringing my car anywhere else.

Dana and his team are well on their way to earning me as a lifetime customer. He is honest in diagnosing the issue, helping weigh safety risks, fixing for fair prices, quality of work, and meeting agreed upon timelines. Being new to the area and when I first brought my car to his shop I even tested him by having a family member that fixes up cars tell me every that was wrong and the price to expect it to cost. He hit the mark and I can't recommend them enough

Garrison City is right down the street from us, so I decided to bring my car there for service one day and I will never go elsewhere. Dana is kind, hardworking and an extremely great communicator. I have had my car serviced at many places and I have never experienced such professional, knowledgeable and reasonable service. I never leave reviews, but truly feel like they deserve to be recognized!

Dana the owner is a real nice guy. He has 30 plus years of experience. I took my car there. And i got a estimate. It was a lot cheaper than the last two places i went to before hand. He took care of me. I recommend him to my friends and family also. Give him a shot. You would be disappointed. And im very satisfied with his quality of work. With i found him 20 years ago.
