Golden nugget has saved me so many times. Russell and Brooke have been so good to me. I have zero knowledge of mechanics and they have bent over backwards to help me. They are honest about the work and communicate every step. Russell lets me call with all my questions.

We've taken both vehicles, truck and car for years now. Never 1 problem! Very happy worth service. Theyre always honest and good pricing.

Golden Nugget Automotive did an excellent job on my 2000 Lexus ES300. They replaced the timing belt, water pump, and accessory belts, and even took the time to repair a wiring harness clip that was a pre-existing issue. Their attention to detail and quality workmanship really stood out. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of reliable automotive repair.

Very nice people very helpful As much as I like to visit the area, I did need to go home - The Mechanic across the street Silver star automotive happened to be super busy that week I was very thankful to him because he was very honest about his schedule and referred me to Golden Nugget automotive As been reputable also and hopefully they have more availability for me as I was stuck! They were able to repair my vehicle for a reasonable price and get me on my way Thank you again, golden nugget automotive !

I've been going to Golden Nugget for 20 years and their service has been wonderful with fair prices. With new owners, and since I've moved from Minden to Carson City, I was tempted to find a new shop closer to home. However, the trust that I've had over the years is something hard to find. I thought I'd give them a shot. I was very pleased to find it's well worth the drive. The new owners are friendly, efficient and extremely thorough. Trust and thoroughness is very important to me and I'll continue to use Golden Nugget!! Customer service is superb!!!

I broke down in Hawthorne, Nevada and was towed to Golden Nugget Automotive. From my first contact with Brooke I knew I was in good hands. End of summer is often a very busy time for auto repair shops and an out of town customer rarely leads to repeat servicing over the years. That said, Russ, Brooke, and the great team at Golden Nugget made repairing my old Tundra a priority. I was towed to the shop late Monday and was able to pick up my 23 year old truck the following day. Additionally, they went the extra mile and advised me of upcoming service items I will need to take care of once home. Sure, they could easily have up sold me on a bunch of stuff but instead they operate with a level of integrity that is quickly disappearing from the automotive repair business. I highly recommend this shop to anyone.

I have been going to Golden Nugget for 30 years. They are great at what they do, are conscientious, and keep prices within my budget. They go above and beyond to ensure I am in a safe vehicle.

Everything was great. I've gone to Golden Nugget for years now. One thing I was wondering was that the receipt I got, which I did not check until the next day when filing, had a note that the 'right front axle seal is seeping'. I did not see a note saying that it was fixed. Since I saw that note on a Saturday, they were closed so I could not ask. I leave on a car trip early tomorrow morning so I will be on the road. ?????

Cleanest shop I’ve ever seen and everyone was very friendly. Got my 2008 Audi A5 back the same day for an oil change and a burning oil smell for an excellent price. My car drives smoother than ever and no more burning oil smell! Thank you!

Family has been long time customer of GNA. Several times the crew has stood behind the work, done diagnostics found nothing wrong and not charged. Most recently had the car in for lube and reported minor gripe. They found the issue, which I worked on, drove a while, and brought it back to them to check, easy-peasy, no issues, no additional charge to help be check that it was fixed right. They certainly have all my repeat business. I usually call ahead to schedule any work and leave the vehicle overnight. A month or so ago, my battery on my car that hasn't driven much in the last year gave out. Got a AAA jump, and took the car straight to GNA for a checkout and probably new battery. They happily fit me in during the last 15 minutes of the day, dropped in the new battery and got me going again. A+++ service and accommodation for when things don't go as planned in life!

Went in to diagnose possible early stage cv boot issue on a high mileage Subaru outback. Golden Nugget told me that the CV and associated parts were in very good shape but that the sound was caused by one of the struts. They suggested and I elected to replace the part (both sides) along with the springs followed by an alignment. I have to say the car feels brand new with regard to steering and corners like last years model not one from a decade ago with 200,000 miles. Also during the initial inspection my battery tested faulty even though I had just replaced it. I approved replacement but when I went to pick it up they informed me it was in fact the terminal clamp not the battery tat was causing the reading and that they had gone ahead and cleaned that for me fixing the problem without having to pay for a new battery. In my described experience you are reading there are a couple of points that a shady mechanic could have taken advantage without much effort and neither were capitalized on by Golden Nugget Automotive. Their prices are fair and their work seems to be of good quality. They are not some Mega Chain company and appear to be a family run business that has a good reputation in their community as they were recommended to me by an area lifetime local contractor. I will definitely continue to use and recommend Golden Nugget Nugget Automotive.

I was in a desperate situation, I had a trailer hooked up to my truck and the lights were not working properly on the trailer, I had to have this issue fixed because I was leaving Nevada and driving to California and I was leaving late afternoon from Nevada driving in the evening I definitely would have been pulled over by the highway patrol and got a Fix-It ticket or even had to leave the vehicle because the lights were not working properly on the trailer. Brian understood my situation and had me fixed in less than 20 minutes, making me feel so good knowing that I would not get pulled over by the law enforcement. The reason I was in a desperate situation is because I went to six different auto repair shops before I got to Brian's shop and all the shops said "no we cannot help you because they were too busy". BrianpBrian wasawas very understanding of my situation and he immediately took care of my electrical issue with the trailer and got me up and running legally and safely.

We have used them several times.The work has been top notch. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. They went out of their way to confirm a transmission service had been done on a vehicle we had just purchased, which I really appreciated.

Better off lighting your money on fire. Paid to have these guys flush out my radiator and it looks like all they did was drain it and refill. Theres so much dirt and grime. Tried to get upwards of $3,000 for ridiculous things that were wrong. Leaks and things that aren't there. These guys are terrible.

Alright so I am new to the area and unfortunately wanted to give these guys a chance at earning my business but boy was I wrong. First thing I asked was if they are able to work on diesels..they stated yes no problem. Took our truck into there shop they stated that it was a bunch of issues and my husband and were skeptical but we let them fix the biggest issues. Then they stated that they had to erase our computer chip WITHOUT our authorization and then stated everything was fixed and we let them know we would be traveling so it needs to be highway ready. Then picked up our truck and we started heading out to the midwest and ling behold the truck completeley breaks down on the highway that could have caused serious injuries. We had to get it towed back but we were able to get it a small diagnosis at a small shop along the way and they stated it was the same issues that we originally took it to Golden Nugget for! Imagine my shock..then I told my husband we are lucky because there is a 12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor..so we bring it back to Golden Nugget then they tell us its all of the injectors, etc ..my husband was absolutely furious. We truly could not believe how they treated us and tried to rip us off. We told them to not touch our truck again. Then we told them we would be taking the it accross the street and the gentleman said "I hope they rip you off, come pick up you piece of junk truck!" ALL I CAN SAY IS HOW RUDE and I wish the original owners did not sell to these people..very sad that these new owners have ruined there reputation. Also there old BEST MECHANIC is across the street now working for the other guys..that tells u a lot! They also told us when they were originay trying to understand our trucks issues..the mechanic stated he was looking up YouTube videos..WOW REALLY??!!?

This place is a sinking ship, previous owner was great, now you don't want anything to do with this place. Anything more than a basic oil change is beyond the techs capabilities. Car was there for over a month, charged me and the car is still not fixed????

I was hundreds of miles from home and the starter failed in my jeep. I started calling different repair shops with not much luck until I spoke with Jennifer at Golden Nugget Automotive. I told her my problem and I asked her if I had it towed to her could she fit me in today and she said, "yes". I also asked her to order a new starter for me so they would have parts when it arrived. I didn't know what the problem was but I knew it couldn't hurt to replace an old starter. She was very professional and I gave her the VIN to order the correct parts. I was skeptical because everything was going so well. I thought it was a scam. No scam. My jeep arrived at her shop in an hour and guess what? They immediately put it on the rack and a couple hours later it was repaired and I was on my home. Very good pricing and great service. I wish I lived closer to them because they run a good operation. The mechanic couldn't have been nicer to me. Thank you Jennifer we made it home and appreciate everything. They only charged me one hour labor and parts. Amazing.

They give great service and great prices. The staff and the owner are honest and loyal to there customers. I will never take my car any where else. Thanks Mike and Nicole for everything. Again I had a problem with my car and Golden Nugget came to my side. I will never take my car anywhere else to get my car fixed.

I took my Ford Expedition to Golden Nugget for a routine oil change and 80k mile inspection. A service that my Ford dealer quoted me $1300 to perform. The only extra that Golden Nugget found wrong was the differential fluid needed changing. The job was done right, I saved a fortune, and from now on, I will not take my vehicles to anyone else but Golden Nugget. Thank you Mike.

On a trip to the area, and Mike agreed to see my car with no warning. Was helpful in getting it working, and getting me back on the road, even though he was abviously very busy. Found the problem quickly, got the part over lunch, and back on the road with out any problems. He also seems to know plenty of people in town, and keeps a relationship with his customers.
