What clients say about Copart - Billings in Billings (MT)
From the reading of the other reviews, nothing has changed. I had sold my wrecked car to Copart. The whole transaction period was a circus of texts where the agent kept wanting this and that from me including pictures and title info . The whole time he did not realize that I am ON THE ROAD, and, cant answer the phone. Then when the whole paper ordeal was over, I was told that I would get a phone call from the agent to set up a pickup time. I waited all day until 4;40 pm, when the tow driver called me to say that he was there to pick up. This only after: 1. I had called earlier in the am about the schedule. The agent said that they would call TODAY. 2. It was 5 pm, and, the business owner was ready to close. 3.I had informed them earlier that I still needed to get the plates off of the car. They said that I would have the time. What time? When I got there, I was approached by the driver who wanted to give me the check. I expressed that I needed to get the plates ,and, the displeasure of being contacted so late in the day. I then got the plates, BUT, he then approached me and gave me the check. He then said "Have a nice day", but, he NEVER asked
about the title. I did not realize this until after I had left the business. I immediately turned around only to find the business closed. This business does not know what they are doing. They obviously are all working remotely and do not communicate like they would in a central office( Thanks to the Scamdemic). So, customer service Sucks Management should be fired.
Very unorganized and dishonest people. It's like a corporation of used car salesman. The corporate phone number and the representative at the lot both told me it was the others responsibility to address my concerns so it went nowhere. I paid a large sum of money to have my purchase shipped to my home. A month went by with NO communication from anybody regarding the delivery. I then called the lot to ask and they had no idea when and actually suggested it could be months for delivery. I then cancelled the delivery and went to pick the vehicle up only to have them charge me a storage fee almost equal to the delivery fee I had refunded. Criminal. Done doing business after the first transaction.
So after some trying the corporate office did the right thing and refunded me the fair amount of money. My opinion overall after that is I would purchase from copart again but never leave anything to the local yards. Promptly finishing my transactions and never asking the local yards for anything.
People were rude. Never even got up to discuss my wrecked car with me. And when I was able to get into it? Inside was cleared out of any personal items. Even my grandsons car seat was gone. Now that is stolen property.
COPART is mostly OK, although they have so many extra charges and costs, the place should be renamed McFee Auctions. Sometimes they don’t accurately advertise a car, and that can be expensive. Keys once cost $1; no big deal to buy a car supposedly with keys and have to get a key cut. That was thirty years ago. Keys are $150, plus the towing, plus the code, plus the laser cut, etc. I’ve mentioned this to COPART management, said I could be spending more money at auctions, less at the dealership. Didn’t really make a dent. They may even tack on a fee for reading my email. Still, they are MOSTLY ok. Just have to budget for lots of extras.
Ease of releasing our 2005 Chevy Silverado 3/4/ton extended cab from coparts lot in Billings, Montana. Liked how professional and fast they are in doing their job to get it done without much wait time. Kirk Schroeder
Well it's a little bit different than I imagined. It's not as big as rest of the locations of Copart. From whole area only two rows was available to take a look. And also it was 5 rows of different vehicles were I wasn't allowed to be. I could not understand why. Some of those cars looks much different than on the photos. If you going to buy car make sure to inspect it before. Mostly times you can't see all of the little details from photos, and they make a huge difference.
VERY friendly staff who cordially understood, and fulfilled my request without question or hesitation! Gee, it's so nice to deal with friendly folks! My kinda people, to be sure!
june 4th 2016.....my family enjoyed the races. But when we went to leave we went on a back way out that we have used many times in the past...this year we got to the end and it was now blocked off...no sign saying no road access ...nothing...we turned around to go back the other way and found the car completely wrapped underneath and around the tire with barb wire...alot of it.... that was either strung out or left my the BMP....that was not a very nice way to end the night..thank goodness James from Magic city towing stopped to see if we needed help..making it possible to cut enough off that we could drive...his kindness is what got us back on the road..saving our car...and us...BMP..not cool...clean up..post a sign..or was the barb wire put there to stop people from getting out that way???....Not very happy about this at all...clean it up....or post no access....there is plenty left in that field.....I pulled at least 3 strings of 15 to 20 feet out away from the car.DO NOT TAKE THE BACK ROAD BEHIND THE PARKING LOT>>>>...no stars are deserved for this one...but I have to at least give one to even post this review...
