Awesome place and awesome people! Had to bring my jeep back up for work and it was lunch time and instead of asking me to leave the guy worked though his lunch so I didn’t have to leave! The work done was awesome had the jeep lifted and new tires and rims and also had a winch installed!! Definitely would recommend!! Before and after pics

That Steve Turvey guy is great. For 5 months Steve and I went back and forth on proposals for lift and suspension ideas, different heights and multiple manufacturers, wheel options, offsets and backspacing, tires packages, converter gaurds, molle panels, my experience was awesome! And I will continue to support this shop for future needs.

Highly recommended. Second major repair I am having performed here. Would not take my jeep anywhere else. Worth the 45 minute drive past many other repair shops to have the work done right. Thanks!!!

Just over a year ago I had an 06 wrangler LJ updated . Over 30k of work done . Part of the update was a completely new sound system with apple carplay , new speakers amp and sub. Within a week a speaker fell out of the dash . It always sounded muffled and the sound bar worked intermittently. Took it back and it he speaker was as re installed in the dash . Sound still sounded muffled and soundbar didn’t play consistently . They replaced the passenger door latch which never worked from the inside after installation and after it was brought back . Axelboys came recommended so I engaged them to do the work based on a reference . It’s far from me so bringing it back was an inconvenience. It’s been a year and the sound system still doesn’t work correctly and the only way to lock the passenger door is with a key from the outside. Asked if they would look at it again and now because it’s out of warranty they will only look at it with an assessment fee . Other things that went wrong in the first month were fixed and there were several but if you’re looking for customer service and standing behind their work I would not have them do any sound system work and make sure you confirm in detail what you want them to look at because they us the excuse ….. oh we don’t have a record that you asked us to evaluate this . One would expect better customer service and to have someone stand behind their work better than offer excuses especially if you handed them 30k .

I was new to offroad type vehicle modifications for my truck. I wanted to fit bigger tires and wheels and wanted a specific look that wasn’t overly aggressive. From my first contact there was no question they knew exactly what I needed. Communication with me throughout the process was excellent and always available. I opted to have a light controller installed as well at the time and the install and wiring is immaculate. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and my experience with Axleboy.

Took my truck to shop, expecting a $500. Calibration on my cruise control. They found lots of issues after issues after issues and ended up spending $3200 on repairs. If I'd have known this coming in, I wouldn't have not had this done. Felt like they were doing the guessing game. But I'm not a mechanic. And the truck was involved in an accident previously that may have caused some of the issues i just feel like if they did a better diagnostics from the beginning. I could have bailed out on the project and not spent all the money. Every time I turn around, they were saying pudman. Ford said this pudman Ford said that I should have just took my to the dealer and eliminated the middleman. And they had my truck for a little over three weeks. If I took it to the dealer, it probably could have got done way faster. I'm not saying they are a bad shop. I'm just saying they may be a little inexperienced. In these kinds of repairs. II feel like Ford did more of the diagnostics..12/29/25 Well, it's less than a 1000 miles later a month after they so called fixed my truck. And I'm having the exact same issues. I had before, I took it to them. So I guess I'll have to take it to a dealer to get it fixed correctly. Should probably ask for a refund on their diagnostics. But I'm sure that won't get me nowhere. Apparently they're not as professional as I thought. Kind of like the rebuilder I guess.

Last year I got my 3rd generation Tacoma lifted here at Axleboy. The team was very professional and cooperative with my schedule for the installation. The lift kit has been awesome. I've taken my truck offroading a few times and it's even gotten me out of some bad terrain when the snow/ice was really bad. Absolutely recommend you go here for any of your offroading needs.

Called to get a quote on having a 1.5” collar lift installed on my truck. I already had the parts and was only looking for installation pricing. Axleboy quoted me $1,050, which was over 3× to nearly 5× higher than the 4–5 other shops I spoke with, who quoted between $220 and $320 for the exact same job. I even confirmed with them that we were talking about the same scope of work because the price was so far off from every other quote. When I mentioned the other pricing, the response was simply “ok.” Overall, the pricing was extremely out of line with the market.

Chris and the Team at Axleboy did a truly fantastic job communicating throughout the build process! They provided daily updates and explained every step being taken to ensure the Lift kit, wheels/tires were correctly installed and alignment was perfect!

Hands down best place to go for oversized tire needs. I went somewhere else when I first got my jeep and was told the only way to balance 37’s was balance beads. Two years of death wobble and uneven tire wear later I went to Axelboy. At a glance they told me I’d need an alignment along with my new tires, which I approved. When they got it up on the rack, they determined no alignment was necessary and didn’t perform one despite the fact that I had already ok’d that work. Saved me good money and the jeep rides like a dream. No more wobble, gas mileage is way up too. Can’t say enough about this place. Don’t go anywhere else!

I would recommend anyone to Axleboy. I had a leveling kit install on my 2024 F250 HO Diesel at pp. I knew something was not right with the ride of the truck after the expensive work was complete. I could see that the axle was rolled forward and it was never fixed. Then I paid a visit to Axleboy and was impressed from the start. The facts are that the axle was not only rolled but crooked. Now my truck is SMOOTH and SOLID like when it was new. Thanks again Axleboy, you are now my "go to".

I was referred to Axleboy, and I couldn't be more happy with their service! I had a safety issue causing my truck to fishtail whenever I hit a bump or uneven pavement. Chris and his staff were AWESOME! It didn't take as long as was told and the cost was also better than initially quoted! I too 😊 happy.

Had a factory CV joint replaced on the front drive shaft of a lifted JK Wrangler. It's a common problem that I expected to happen eventually. I called 3 different shops and NONE of them were willing to service it, claiming the we needed a whole new drive shaft. Ha! negative. Called the 4x4 experts at axleboy even tho they are over an hour away from us. Anna double checked with the guys in the shop and said "yep we have the upgraded high angle part in stock which will be better than an OEM replacement, bring it to us and we will fix it". There was a miss communication that resulted in an honest mistake on their side but they made it right in the end. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them in the future.

We found Axleboy after another shop wasn’t able to solve the exhaust issue on our Jeep. Since that initial repair, they have also discovered multiple other issues we had been trying to track down. We will finally be able to have fun in the Jeep now that its mysteries have been addressed. 🥳

Great shop did a bunch of work to my Toyota, ended up having a defective 02 sensor installed and they made sure to get me back in asap even with my conflicted schedule. Great shop, honest people, will recommend to all my off road friends. Great shop thanks guys.

This 1987 Wrangler YJ spent 25 years on military flightlines, surf fishing, and East Coast winters. When the keys were passed to me, the Jeep needed alot of love before it would be passed down again. The staff guided me through four months of prioritized modernization and refit projects. It was a collaborated effort focused on driver safety, system durability, and making her ready for a teenager. Axleboy's made sure my Little YJ was ready for the next generation...

I've waited over a year to post this review hoping that I could find something good to say. I will say this. Amy was very cordial and polite and seemed to do her best. However, there is a serious lack of communication from the shop to the front desk. When I picked up my CJ7 last summer, immediately there were things that weren't done and others that were half done. Lug nuts loose. Shift cover plate missing, parts that were in jeep when dropped off were missing, body mount bolts missing etc. I drove the vehicle straight to my mechanic to repair these items which took about a month to complete. Last month I found out the transmission mount was not tight, wrong mount, loose bolt, and sliding back and forth. Today I found out that they stripped the front U bolt nuts, that the U bolts are backing off and the axle is floating through them. I WOULD NEVER TAKE A VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE!!!!! NEVER!!!! $10,000 and all they could say last summer after I sent in pictures of problems was "we would like to earn your trust back"! No mention of reimbursement, no mention of why they called me and told me it was done when all these very obvious things were incomplete or left undone! No mention of "we will allow a labor credit for future work for your expense for our screw up", nothing but "we would like to earn your trust back". How exactly Axle Boys? By having me leave it in your most incompetent hands again to cost me even more money getting your work repaired/replaced! FORGET IT! WORSE SHOP IN ST. LOUIS!!!!

I was really impressed by the timeliness & customer support, and overall quality of work! Everyone I talked to was nice and helpful, I have a wrangler and was dealing with death wobble. They gave me a great diagnosis and walked me through all the work that was required. I’ve been driving with the new repairs for a couple months now and I’ve had 0 problems!

I had an issue with a part on my rig that has had several shops stumped. Axleboy made some honest mistakes while addressing the issue, and I had ultimately decided to take it somewhere else. After discussing the problems, both with the car itself, as well as the attempted repair, with the owner, he has agreed to make it right. He was extremely professional about it, and handled my complaints honestly and with a great attitude. At this point, I've left my truck there to have the repair completed, and I'm hopeful based on my talk with the owner that this will be done correctly going forward. It takes a lot to admit fault, and make things right, and for that, I am grateful.

I've taken my Gladiator several times to ask about off-road modifications. Every visit has been exceptional. I am new to the Jeep world, and they helped guide me in the right direction with my build to strike a balance between a daily driver and an off-road vehicle. I'm always greeted with a professional attitude and great problem-solving tactics. If you're thinking about modifying your Jeep or other off-road vehicle, don't hesitate to give them a call to help you with your journey.

*ATTENTION*WARNING* Buyers beware!! I have been in the automotive industry from the factory level to building Sema show vehicles for nearly 30yrs. I have had work done here years ago, and Scott the owner was involved and the service was great to my “SEMA” jeep build. I have relocated back to the area, and I’m being told by the Mgr Steve that Scott is pretty hands off now, but he could take care of me. I had them quote me to install a brand new Carli lift on a brand new Ram 2500. Steve quoted me $2300 and I called the manufacturer of the lift, to verify the amount they were quoting me, and they specifically told me that they do them daily at their shop, and it’s should be in the range of $1200-$1600 including the alignment, but no more than that. First red flag. I then asked them if they could put new tpms sensors in a brand new set of beadlocks and tires that the tires are already mounted to the rims, and I told him that I needed them to supply the sensors as well. He then quoted me $650, in which I had scheduled a different appointment for that. I also was a supervisor in the military and a department mgr at an automotive manufacturing facility. So I know to be very specific and detailed when I’m explaining services needed. I told him that they were beadlocks, and they needed to be dismounted and sensors installed and rebalanced. He even told me that they wouldn’t program the sensors until we got the lift installed. I confirmed everything with him at that time. I took the rims and tires to the shop to drop them off right when they opened. I asked him if they would unload them from the truck, he paused and looked at me as if it was my job to unload them. And said, let me see IF I can find someone to do it. He comes out to the truck and said, well I guess I’m helping YOU unload them. So I unload 2 wheels and we rolled them into the shop. There were around 6-8 guys just standing around talking, since they were just opening, and they watched US roll the tires to the back of the shop. One of the techs whispered to him something, and then Steve came to me, and said “man I didn’t know we were doing beadlocks”. I said yes I told you that, and not only that, you helped me unload it and wheeled it into the shop! A blind man can see that they were beadlocks, not to mention how much heavier they are compared to regular rim and tire. He then said “let me go check something”. So we walked back up to the front counter, and he said “man they’ll kill me if I make them do this for $650”. he then told me that it would be $1200 to do the job!! I said “no way!” So I went and rolled one of the wheels out to my truck and loaded it, and he followed me out with the other one and said “sorry man”. Well “SORRY MAN” doesn’t fix anything. I’ve called 3 other performance shops in the area and they quoted me $300 to do it, minus the cost of the sensors. Scott, if you’re reading this, you should really get back in there man, I had a great experience with you and that Big brake kit you did to my Rubicon, but this guy has no integrity, no ethics, and is going to ruin your company name with practices like this, because I’m here to tell you that I’ve read the past reviews and there are quite a few of these situations on there, and it won’t take long for the word to spread. There are a lot of us who have ties to the auto, jeep, and Offroad industry and this kind of publicity will spread fast. An educated shopper will be able to research and see how this guy is inflating the prices and robbing people! I hope this reaches all the people who were shopping around to buy and get parts installed, do a little research, and educate yourselves so guys like this can’t take advantage of you and your hard earned money.

I couldn't have asked for a better shop to upgrade my 97 Jeep Cherokee. My jeep unfortunately sat for almost three years, while I live in CO. This year my dad decided to get it running and take it in to Axle Boys to get it properly running and upgraded. It originally sat on 33s with all stock axles and drive shaft. Now it has higher gear ratios , new suspension, new drive shaft, new tires (Mickey Thompsons = the best) and drives like BUTTER for a 27 year old Jeep. They say the 4.0 is the best engine ever made, but Axle Boys truly made my Jeep run the best it ever has. I cannot thank the crew members enough who worked on my Jeep making it run like a bada$$. I would highly recommend them for ANY Jeep work or 4x4 vehicles. I wish we had taken it to Axle Boys when I first got the lift kit and tires installed in 2016, but I’m ecstatic with the work completed this year. Absolutely no regrets. Ole Red runs like a beast now. When I picked up my jeep, it was the first time I had driven it in years and my smile was ear to ear. Can you believe I was pushing 80 in a lifted 97 Cherokee passing cars on the interstate? 🔥🔥🔥

Couldn’t be happier with the lift and tires. I had been debating what to do for well over a year and Tommy stayed with me the entire time. Every email, every detail he responded to quickly and gave great advice. Finally pulled the trigger and ended up with exactly what I wanted.

If there is a zero star, I would give it. I had them done a rear spring swap, inner tie rods, and lower control arm. This is what happened. Right after picking it up, I started to hear a clunking noise from rear spring. First I thought it was my sway bar link, but after driving 40 miles home, I found out the rear link bolts are almost falling out!!! I could have lost my rear axle and possibly thousands of dollars repair! DO NOT HAVE THEM FIX YOUR TRUCK!!! Also, they are REALLY PRICY! Spent more than 3k for this kinda service! Update: all of the bolts that were taken off to install the springs are not torqued, 2 of which got shaken off while driving. Also, my self-provided incompatible $180 inner tie rod was not returned!! Real unprofessional!

This is not my first experience with Axleboy, and I'm sure it won't be my last. I had them work on a Jeep a few years ago, and they did an excellent job. I recently purchased a Honda Ridgeline RTLE for my business, and I wanted to have it lifted because I go through some rough terrain to get to jobs in unfinished subdivisions. I know it's not their specialty, but I thought I'd see if they were up to the task. Without hesitation, they said they'd do it. They have gone above and beyond to make me a happy customer, and I can honestly say they exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back.

I brought my 1999 Jeep TJ to Axleboy for the first time in 2013, for various suspension, axle, and drivetrain upgrades and my 230k mile Jeep was ready to go anywhere once again. Fast forward to 2023 and with 320k I had some serious body mount issues that the owner Scott Carline took a personal interest in and solved my problem. I have added pics to show the quality of workmanship. I use my Jeep as my "everything" mobile, including cross country trips, daily commute, and off road fun, and the quality of workmanship, customer service and professional attitude of Axleboy is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend and trust these guys. I will always give these guys a 5 Star rating. Thanks again, Ken

Axleboy did a fantastic job working on my 98 Land Rover Discovery 1. It needed a lot of work; they fixed all the oil leaks (which was pretty much every oil gasket), replaced the front bumper with a hard to find ARB bumper, new winch, all new steel wheels & tires, new oxygen sensors, new axle & pinion seals, new water pump etc etc; the attention to detail was excellent, they even cleaned & repainted the axle hubs; this thing drives like new and I have since driven across the country twice without incident; I cannot recommend them enough

Recently had some work done on my 2009 2 door Jeep JK at Axleboys. This was my first experience working with them but I had heard good things about the shop. I talked to Steve about getting a brake inspection done and having my evap system checked because the check engine light had come on. Dropped the vehicle off and they promptly inspected it and found an issue in my evap lines that needed attention And also informed me that I needed to replace the rear brakes (rotors, calipers and pads). Gave them the ok to do the work and they promptly got it done. While it was there, we decided to upgrade the steering components (Jeep had a problem “wandering” and had some play in the steering wheel. Steve recommended the Teraflex HD tie rod and drag link and and I also had them add a Falcon steering stabilizer. Upon alignment, they noticed that the addition of Teraflex adjustable front mid arms would correct some problems with the axle angle from adding the initial lift so we added those as well. Overall, no more check engine light, brakes have been upgraded and the Jeep drives better than factory! Love it! And everything was professionally done in a timely manor. Steve stayed in contact with me every step of the way and was invaluable in solidifying me as a future customer. I have a whole list of future mods to check off and I’ll definitely enlist Axleboys to help with my build! Thank you all sooooo much!

I have purchased several parts over the years from AxleBoy, always a great experience at the parts counter. Recently The time came to have some pretty service done to my Jeep and I knew there was only one place I would trust my vehicle and that was AxleBoy. On my 1999 Jeep Wrangler my torque boxes had rusted thru (pretty common on that mode of Jeep) and desperately were in need of repair. I went up to AxleBoy made an appointment and schedule the work. I requested that Bailey be the that assigned technicians or my Jeep as I had seen the work he had done before and was impressed. About 3 weeks later I took my Jeep into AxleBoy and you can see the pictures of the high quality work they performed. Bailey went above and beyond on my Jeep and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The quality of the work is in the details, that aren’t easily picked up in a picture. I would not hesitate to have AxleBoy and Bailey work on any of my vehicles in the future. Excellent workmanship, great communication, what else can you ask for. Thank you Bailey and AxleBoy, you have a lifetime customer!

Came here to get a new hood for my husband's Jeep as an anniversary gift. Brandon was very helpful and kept me updated throughout the painting process. The installation was quick and the end product looks fantastic! Very pleased with the service here and will definitely be back for future projects and/or repairs.
