Steve A ...02-23-2026 Not pleased one bit by service or employees!!! Making & having a service appointment MEANS NOTHING to them. Arrived 845am for brake job,,departed approx. 225pm. Walk-ins were placed ahead of my vehicle!!! "Oh...it'll be 2 to-2 1/2 hrs," Voice your opinion of the treatment received..."getting your money is our TOP PRIORITY...WE WILL TAKE ALL DAY TO GET IT!!!" is my feeling of their concern. I DON'T RECOMMEND GETTING SERVICE HERE! NOR WILL EVER BRING MY VEHICLE/S BACK FOR ANYTHING TO THIS LOCATION!!!

Had an appointment for a state inspection and it took them almost 2 hours and then had the nerve to fail me for nit picking things!!!!!

I've been using this Firestone for many many years for my fleet vehicle. I call and make an appointment and either drop the car/truck off or sit and wait. They are always friendly, down to earth and don't bs around. They tell it to you straight. Out of all the locations I've been to this one is my go to by far.

Literally every time we schedule an appointment online, they call once to either reschedule or cancel. If you don't get to the call, they don't leave a message and then your appointment is just cancelled.

At first, ill admit, I felt like store gm was rude and not helpful, but not only did my opinion change when he seemed to go above and beyond surprise me, they squeezed me in with a full schedule and got me a great price on a new tire. I was there longer than id like to have been, but let pretty impressed. Thank you Grandview Firestone.

I went to Firestone today to get a HID light replaced and get a complete check up on my vehicle. Customer service was top notch and everything was explained in great detail.

I had my truck towed there with a blown tire last night. They called me at 6:57 this morning to see what replacement tire I wanted and they had it finished before 10:00 am. Very friendly and courteous. I won't hesitate to go to them for any problems I have in the future.

Worst experience ever and I was a lube tech at another metro Firestone from 96 to 98. I replaced the calipers on the front of my Wrangler but was having trouble getting all of the air out of the lines. I took her to the Firestone in Grandview to get a brake flush since it would also bleed the lines. They called me and said that the brake lines were collapsed up front and needed to be replaced. Luckily I had the brake lines in the back of the Jeep because I planned on doing them when I did the calipers but ran out of time. They charged me $155 in labor plus the initial $93 for the flush. Then they called me and said that whoever put on the calipers had cross threaded one of the banjo bolts and I needed to replace the caliper again. I know it wasn't cross threaded because I put the bolt in my hand. I told them this and then they backtracked a little bit and said that they actually got it tight but it was still "seeping". When I picked it up, the tech was very standoffish and blamed me for the banjo bolt issue even though I know better. They said they couldn't guarantee the work because of that. It drove a little weird on the way home but I figured it was still working itself out. I crawled underneath and everything looked good and dry with no "seeping" I could find. The next day it started driving worse and the ABS light came on. I put my scanner on it and pulled the ABS code and it was a C1015 which is a right front wheel speed sensor problem. The wheel speed sensor wiring actually clips onto the brake hoses that they replaced. I ordered one and I'm going to replace it myself because I don't trust these monkeys to fix a golf cart. And no matter what they break, they will never take responsibility for it, blame you, and not warranty or guarantee the work. Save yourself the trouble and find a good mechanic somewhere.

I definitely recommend bringing your vehicle here!!!! The whole ENTIRE Firestone team at this location are all AMAZING!!! I am one of their regular customers, and everytime I come Here they take the very best care of my car!! They always fix what needs to be fixed on it and they always go above and beyond to make sure that my vehicle gets what it needs done on it and they make sure that the job is done the correct way and the right way!!! I definitely recommend bringing your vehicle to this location they are all truly amazing!!! Also I give a HUGE shoutout to Ramiro also!!! He is amazing and he provides some of the best customer service and he always goes above and beyond to make sure that my car gets what it needs and makes sure that my car receives the very best care!!! I definitely 💯 recommend bringing your car to this location!!! 😊

I took my vehicle in for a state inspection. The vehicle did not pass due to a brake light. I was also told that I had some play in lower ball joint and three of my four tires were bald. I put the tires on 8 months ago and I measured my thread and it was at 6/32. I did not questioned the recommended repairs but I did mentioned that my tires were not that old. The words from your front desk employee was “I don’t care and if you don’t like it you can go else where”. He was extremely rude, I was in the automotive service business for years and we treated our customers with respect and courtesy. I have used your establishment several times and the front staff has always been rude. I will never use this location again and I recommend others to avoid your establishment. Thank you

Ive gone to other car mechanic and the diagnostic was subtracted if the work was done and this was not the case and that was semi disappointing. The manager was understanding and helped me out with a coupon. Awesome!! Spent $XXX and my car mechanic app stated it should of been a lot less, However I am happy with the the time schedule and work done!

DO NOT COME HERE!! They said I FAILED my inspection when my car was FINE!!! I promise you, you can get whatever you need done elsewhere. These guys are scammers. I went here for a Missouri state inspection and was failed due to “inner tie rods having play”. Of course right after, I received a quote of ~$1500 to have them replaced. Immediately raised a red flag since I had passed an inspection 8 months ago at Jay Wolf Acura. After taking it back to Acura, my car “magically” passed with flying colors. Firestone still charged me the $12 which they said they couldn’t refund. Upon going back, I was told I should have gone to a state inspector to repeal instead of going somewhere else but I paid these guys the money so why would I have to go somewhere else just to be treated fairly?? The guy at the counter said he’d pay me out of his own pocket. -Sounds like a guilty conscience to me. I didn’t take the dudes money, and it’s not about the $12. Fact of the matter is, they tried scamming me into a $1500 (ridicules price btw) repair that I didn’t need. That’s unacceptable and I don’t recommend anyone come here for anything since that’s the way I’m treated as a guy with some know how about cars. I couldn’t imagine the things they could pull on the unsuspecting.

I would definitely avoid the Firestone in Grandview. Crystal tried to tell me that the inner wall of my tire was completely warn and because of this, they were unable take the nail out of the center of my tire. However, this was just a tactic for them to avoid working on my car. I ended up going to discount tire in Independence MO and they fixed my tire and scanned it and told me that it was perfectly fine all for free. Not only that they will rotate all of your tires for free!! Just goes to show it’s hard these days to find honest people who will give you the time of day and work. A lot of the shops like this one don’t want to patch your tire, they just want to sell you a new tire to make more money. Sad

I found Firestone while price shopping. They didn't upsell me, and were very thorough with their inspection and diagnostics. They were patient explaining what I needed, and found some coupons to make the price hurt less. Krystal at the front was so wonderful, she's the reason we decided to spend the money here. Thank you all for making my car safe again

Dropped my car off here, they had it for a week and didn’t even reach out to me to keep me updated on my vehicle’s progress. Then once I finally got it back, it made a new sound that it didn’t make before they worked on it. (I know they messed something up) so I call them, take it back in. And dude tells me how it’s the bearings. But if it’s the bearings why didn’t they say that before? Why didn’t it make that sound before? Got my car back and I’m never going back. WORST PLACE EVER!!

The guy who checked me in for my appointment was insanely rude. Never even looked at me. I booked my appointment online; when I showed up I asked if they could also do a fluids check for me. He sighed really deeply and said they didn’t have time for that. I said my plan was to leave my car there all day and asked if it was still an issue. His response was (not verbatim) “well I guess not”. Still, no eye contact. When I picked up my car, my tires had not been rotated like I’d asked (the tire pressure on each tire was exactly the same as was when I dropped it off) and there were notes that I needed brake fluid. I didn’t know about the brake fluid until after I paid and was already home when I reviewed my paperwork. Why wasn’t I notified that additional things needed to be done to my car? Why did the guy checking me out tell me that fluid inspections happen on every oil change as a “courtesy check”?? Basically I’m tired of the laziness and lies. I’m not going back. This place sucks.

Terrible communication, your appointment means nothing. Waited 6 hours for an alignment and they never even got to it. The excuse they gave was, "well, you're a drop off. We have all day to squeeze it in." No, you don't.

They have always been nice to me when I have gone in! The staff tells me everything that is going with my vehicle and list options that they would recommend. Edit: They over-torqued just 1-2 lug nuts on 3 wheels by over 30 foot-pounds.

Was quoted 89.99 on an alignment. Sat here 2 hours while the guy couldn’t do a complete alignment because he Bent one of my tracks on the rear passenger. Then wouldn’t take my coupon then charged me 130$ if you need something done I’d drive on past this place as far as can be!

I had a friend take his 2008 Lexus there for an inspection. They told him it needed control arms. It would cost $1800. He took it to another shop. They could find nothing wrong with it! Don't go there,unless you want to get ripped off!!!

Went in there to just get a vehicle inspection. After an hour and a half they told me my car would not pass unless I spent $1800 on broken arm controllers, they said they would do them right then and there for me, gentlemen! I'm not car savvy so I asked a buddy for advice and he directed me towards a couple different shops around town. Neither shop could find even the slightest problem and had no idea what they were talking about and I passed inspection easily as my car is well maintained. I recommend Firestone 5 out of 5 stars if you want to waste almost $2000 on a part that you don't need. Nice chairs in the lobby though. Thanks Firestone!

Chances are if you go to this location you will leave with a missing catalytic converter in less than 24hrs. The management and staff were totally careless. They are NOT willing to cover any of the loss or partially get involved at all. To help protect themselves, they blamed it on the property owner IHOPU (The International House of Prayer University) which is very unethical and shady to hear that from Firestone. This will be escalated to upper management and IHOP. Besides all that, my steering wheel was off center after they completed a 4-wheel alignment and had me replace a ball joint.

Took 2 working days out of my schedule because I had to go back for them to complete the job that should have been done one the first job. I didn’t get a call all day, I followed up to find my car had been ready for a while. I show up to get my car and the manager gave my keys to the wrong person. I then had to wait another 20 minutes in the lobby. After all of this - I still paid for everything in full, with a $40 online coupon that anyone can apparently download. I strongly do not recommend Firestone.

Came in for a safety inspection. Not sure how this benefited them but they told me the windshield tint was too low and I had a crack in my brake light lens. It took 2 seconds to remove the tint, and there was no crack or moisture in the lens. When I called to explain this and set an appointment for the next inspection, I was told that “they don’t make the rules” and was hung up on before I could make another appointment. Why would you send me home if the windshield tint and this supposed brake light lens was in issue? Incredibly easy fixes, 5 minutes tops. No care to help, do the bare minimum. Hell of a philosohy.

I've had great experiences here. In all, I've come in a few times for oil changes, new tires and alignment, and just general checkups. The manager Kou and all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable--they would explain to me anything that I wanted to know in details (I'm not a huge car person). I kept having problems with one of my new tires, and they immediately inspected it every time I came back in (no charge). The services were reasonably priced, especially with coupons. I would recommend this shop. The staff feel trustworthy to me.
