Red flags all around.
Parking isn't very clear when you pull up, no signage as one side is for donations and pickup and other is jammed packed without clarity on parking. Had to move my vehicle after parking which was already a bad start.
Was followed around while looking at renovation materials as if I was gonna steal. Initially told it was 75% off, then 70% and then 66% when asked about product. Had seen the same materials from over a month ago and accumulation of all sorts. Gale had the nerve to lie and say they sell like crazy.
As a non-profit, it's very weird and bizarre to blatantly lie as a organization to give back to the community. Wouldn't trust them after that final interaction.
Weird store experience and very dishonest. Kept being following around and lied about how things sell fast. I’ve seen the same renovation materials for months collecting dust.
My clients who do not have steady transportation benefit from their once monthly food pantry. They include meat, dairy, canned and boxed food, personal care items, and even baked goods.
I got turned down for food help! All because my I'd was expired!! When I've been there before 3 times! And was only 2 months before this and it states on there site that the info needs updated if a year had passed! I drove 45 mins to get there and I said please can u help me out I need food for my babies. and she said nope sorry maybe get a job and was very rude! I had my 2 babies with me as well! Will not be going there ever again! God's people! Ya not!
This use to be my absolute favorite second hand store to shop but I was really disappointed on the prices on things today. Some items was priced too high. A lot of second hand stores are outrageously pricey but this one never was. I really hope they don't continue in their footsteps.
They have a lot of junky stuff but every once in a while you can find something decent, if they're actually open. Went all the way out there AGAIN, and tho employees were there they said thrift shop was closed in spite of their posted hours, so it's not really worth the potential waste of time.
I was very surprised when I got there. I saw a young man throwing a box of dishes away. I'm sure someone could of used them. If they didn't want them, maybe it should of been posted for free. It's a shame to throw donations away.
My first time ever asking for assistance in my life. I was greeted by a tall slender dark haired woman with a ponytail on September 23,2019 approximately 9:05 am. I explained my situation and basically she treated me like dirt. Brought me to tears. She said they could not help me. I asked if she knew any other organizations that could help. All she said was call some churches. I thanked her, turned around to walk away. She slammed the slidding glass window causing everyone to look to see what happened. I felt humiliated. Never in my life have i needed help, then when i already felt terrible for even asking for help this woman made me even worse.
Great place, best prices anywhere! All proceeds from this Thrift Shop go directly into the Outreach center which maintains a food pantry and helps the homeless and needy!
Also, the negative review below does not apply to Loving Hearts Thrift Shop. It is a separate entity from the Outreach. The Outreach helps the needy but there are guidelines to follow, I guess some people don't understand that. Without rules chaos abides.
