BEWARE! The driver that towed my car went through all of the compartments and dumped them onto the passenger seat. A few things were missing that I noticed right away, a handicap pass, bracelets and a prayer card.
I don't normally do reviews but my experience was so nice I just had too. I needed a vehicle towed 3.8 miles and it was 20 bucks cheaper than the other well know tow service in my area had quoted me just to go .9 miles. Rob was great. He showed up in about 30min and was very polite, knowledgeable and professional. He made what would normally be a tense frustrating situation for me down right pleasant. I hope I don't need a tow anytime soon but if I do, I'm definitely only calling them.
I had my 2023 Jeep gladiator serviced, and there was an issue after the service. Great Lakes, towing came out on behalf of the dealership that serviced it, they picked. up my vehicle, then with do care and caution. We're able to get the vehicle loaded without starting it. Which would have caused immense damage. I like the quality of this service. The professionalism of the driver and the quality of the service. He provided it could have easily went the wrong direction, but due to their conscientious ability to service. The customer correctly, which in today's day and age, is sometimes hard to find. Great lake's towing did an excellent job.
We had a flat tire on my travel trailer while driving back from camping. Jeff came and helped us, in the middle of a thunderstorm. State troopers drove right by us with no help. Thank you GL Towing for your excellent service!
These thieves forcefully towed my truck from Planet Fitness while I was there with my truck and charged me $3,450 for recovery—after moving it less than 10 miles. On top of that, they removed the axle and didn’t know how to fix it. They’re predatory towing company be aware everyone
Left my car at a gas station because it wouldn’t start. Asked to leave it for a day to come get it after work. It was towed before I got off and want $575 dollars to get it out when they had it for one day. Seems ridiculous. It was cheaper when I was in an accident they had it for 3 days and got a tow home and it was cheaper then this
I made accented and the tow my car to his yard and they charge me 560 for tow days . They charge tooooo much for storage . And the customer service very bad . Zeeeeero stars.
I used them last week and I thought it was a little overpriced but I called them today to take my car to a transmission shop and they blocked my number? Use Charlie’s towing instead and it was way better service, even sent pictures to my phone that my car was on the tow bed PLUS IT WAS $40 CHEAPER! I don’t usually do reviews but I am shocked how a tow company stays in business with such terrible customer service.
My daughter was in an accident that almost killed her. She spent three days in the hospital during which the manager of Great Lakes got nasty with our family when they asked to reclaim a hearing aid from the car the day of the accident. After 4 days, we were presented a bill for $452 CASH ONLY including services fees and miscellaneous charges for a 4.9 mile tow and storage. The manager is one of the rudest, laziest people I have encountered. You would be better off with anyone else in town.
These guys towed my semi while I was inside planet fitness exercising. They charged me $2500 cash. They found a spare key under my hood, and entered my truck illegally. My truck was impounded at a lot so small, it would be virtually impossible to maneuver a huge tow truck attached to a semi at the location. A police officer slipped up and admitted that GL drove my truck. This was criminal
Jim came out very quickly after I had managed to drive into a ditch. I can’t recommend him too highly. Extremely professional and supportive. Only my pride was hurt but he made sure everything else was good for me. I hope he gets paid according to his ability and customer service!
I had a last minute, long distance tow of a large truck needed and Great Lakes Towing was excellent. They jumped right on it and got a truck out to me within an hour. I've used them a few times and have always been extremely satisfied with their professionalism, efficiency, and top-notch service. Huge thanks to Great Lakes Towing!
They are great people, and treated me like family while I was having a very uncomfortable experience with my car which called for me to require the use of a towing service. The rates were quite reasonable to boot. I would definitely use them again.

I want to give this a bad review but I can't seem to be able to work myself up to it! As it's my own fault for losing everything I had left and I don't have any reason to be as upset as I am! It's not their fault I have no ody to help me! N they don't know I have a cage in my back constructed in the most impressive way to be able to get some help with the issues I had with my osteoporosis when I hadn't even hit 30 yet!
Never thought I would have such a terrible experience with a towing company. The owner was extremely rude and uninformative and had us running all around trying to figure out how the process went. He was extremely rude and racist to me and my grandmother and I honestly walked away from this towing company feeling absolutely violated and assaulted. By the time the mam, who's name is john(the owner) had our car in his possession he began to run insane scams on me and grandma. All of a sudden there were fees coming out of no where and he was ignoring our calls and texts for days straight even though he had our vehicle in his possession. It honestly hurts me that this company is going to remain running after seeing the scams that they are running on innocent people but i guess the most I could do is warn people to stay away.
Contacted them about locked keys in my van and owner JP said he would send someone as quickly as he could. Very friendly and adequate service and would use again and highly recommend.
The guy who runs this shop takes advantage of already sensitive situation because most people need their cars. When I called to find out what their hours were he told me 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. When I showed up the next day at 9am, no one was there. So my sister called him and put him on speaker. The guy whom runs this towing operation told her that in order to get the stuff from my vehicle, she'd have to make an appointment. Then I chimed in and said that is not was told to me yesterday, that he never mentioned having to make an appointment. So he he said he'd be there in a few and he actually showed up.
I had no choice but to tow my car here bc that's where the police sent it to. I had no say. If i did, i wouldn't have towed it here. The man was rude and tried to basically gaslight me about what he told me the first time we spoke. He did not tell me I needed an appointment or a release slip in order to come pay off my car. All he said was to come after the weekend. Didn't say make an appointment, didn't say I needed a slip. Then I show up after the weekend and he's not there. Tries to claim he told me i needed an appointment and release slip. He never did. I also noticed they closed 3 hours earlier than what their hours stated that day. Seemed like he just wanted to leave and didn't care about telling me all the information I needed to know to get my car back. I had to go up there 3 different times that day bc he kept leaving out information about the things I needed. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you like being gaslit and spending your whole day driving back and forth.
Great Lakes towing were awesome today getting my vehicle at last where it was supposed to be towed 4 days ago after a collision. My story is far far to painful as well as long to explain......John and Ron were awesome in finally getting my car towed to the correct location and were very courteous prompt Th as well as honest in doing so. The prior companies were everything but honest... I most definitely will call Great Lakes first for any further towing needs indeed ‼ Thank you guys
I needed my car towed to the dealership for an engine issue. I called and within half an hour they were at my house ready to tow. They were professional, prompt and very quick. I would recommend them over any towing company out there.

Very rude and disrespectful basically tried to steal my car charged almost 1500 and tried to make it impossible for me to get it back. Thankfully I had the Resources to get my vehicle back but for the average person in the middle of a pandemic most people don’t have an extra 1500 to spend.I also called the Belleville police department and they informed me that they opted out of their contract with this company and are not using them for their city impound anymore because the prices are robbery and they are so unprofessional. The BBB needs to look further into this joke of a company

I had my f-250 towed to Bill Brown ford, John and his drivers are fantastic, not only did they come before the time I was told they where very professional and quick to have my truck loaded and taken to Bill Brown.
Also the truck the brought me was the nicest tow truck I've ever seen. They are very proud of there equipmentand take very good care of it.
I talked to the owner John and he said it would be a 3 hour wait because of the snow but the driver Corey was there within 2 hours and was very professional and even gave us a ride to Bill Brown Ford. I will recommend them to all my family and friends. Great Service!

Horrible experience!! It took them hours to tow my car on a Friday afternoon and then it was not delivered to the correct destination. No apologies or explanation given when they could not find my car at the dealership on Monday. The worst customer service ever. I do not recommend this company even if Bill Brown Ford uses them. If Bill Brown Ford truly cares about their customers they would not recommend this towing company. Great Lakes had the nerve to charge $100 for towing my car even after it was missing. I was told that the owner of Great Lakes towing was going to call me....that never happened. If you want good service, Great Lakes Towing is not the company for you.
Memorial Day my daughter and I were involved in a 6 car accident on Michigan/Denton due to someone not paying attention and slamming into us.
Great Lakes was great at taking care of all the cars (including mine). This is my first accident so I didnt know much to do regarding my belongings in my car after being towed away
Called them several times regarding one thing or another and not once did they get irritated with me. They were very patient and made sure all my belongings were locked up until I could pick them up the next day.
