My teenage son hit a pothole and blew out his tire. I had a spare so i call my AAA, they sent me a guy that took an hour to get there. Got there tried for literally MAYBE 5 minutes not even. Said he couldn't get the lug nuts off, i need to call for a differet service he couldn't help and left. So AAA sent me Westland Car Care for a tow, they got there in 20 minutes and he decided to try to change the tire... this saint got it dont in 10mins!!! The guy was so nice and made our night!! Thank you Westland Care Care, keep up the great service!!
Took care of an unfortunate situation with the upmost care. 2014 f150 was completely dead battery good. Wouldn't shift into neutral. Took the time to spray cans of wd40 on his tow bed so the back tires wouldnt work against each other while they spun in park opposite direction.

I had a terrible experience with Westland Car Care Towing. My fiancé’s car was stolen in Westland and later recovered in Detroit. The Westland police had it towed to this company’s impound lot so they could process it for fingerprints because it was stolen out of Westland and there was an ongoing investigation. When we went to pick it up, Westland Car Care charged us $858 — even though we were victims of a crime.
Looking at the invoice, they overcharged and added random fees:
• Charged us for 5 days of storage when the car was only there for 4.
• Added things like “Inside Storage” and “Admin Fee” totaling hundreds of dollars.
• Even billed for labor, winching, and miscellaneous charges. Isn’t labor and winching the same thing?
They only towed it 15 miles.
After contacting the Westland Police Department, we were told we should not have been charged at all. Thankfully, the police refunded us — but it makes me wonder how many other people are being taken advantage of by these practices and never see their money back.
No one who has their car stolen should be forced to pay hundreds of dollars to get it back. This company is not transparent and takes advantage of victims. Be very cautious.
Stacy was the one who purposely charged me even though I expressed so many times my car was stolen and I’m a victim. She didn’t care at all, was extremely rude to me and my father when he was asking the charges.
I can’t imagine someone this unprofessional and rude actually having a job working with the public. If the company cares about their image at all they would fire her.
My daughter had her car stolen, Westland police recovered it. Westland car care towed it 30 miles. It racked up $840 in towing fees. In 30 miles. At there yard for 4 day's.

Don't question her authority! Threaten me to pay it hung up on me. Plot twist they should not have charged to victim in an on going investigation. Real class act. Charged my 22yr old daughter over $800 for 30 mile tow.
Nasty ppl. My next call is BBB. And now start on social media explaining how they rip off the very ppl of their community.

Towed my car through AAA,
Westland Towing/Car Care, Intentionally drove several miles out of the way so that they could charge me an additional Mileage, even after I told the driver he was going way out of the way, he continued to go that way. Ended up paying an additional $70 out of pocket. No other Company has ever charged us extra when being towed by AAA. Then they refused to lower the price after I confronted them about it, blaming AAA for the extra miles. Then my wife gave them a bad review as a result, they called us on the phone and tried to bully us into changing our review. The man on the phone continued to lie and change his story about what happened. When I pointed out his false statements, he began to yell and call me by my last name over and over again trying to intimidate me. He told me that he didn't want to do business with people like me. (People who point out the fact that he intentionally rips people off).
Fantastic experience with towing service today. Dispatch was very friendly and treated my issue with a sense of urgency. Doug showed up to tow my son’s car within 7 minutes of speaking with dispatch, he was friendly, courteous and had the vehicle towed to a local garage very quickly. Amazing customer service and a top notch team!! Made a frustrating situation alot easier to deal with, really appreciate you guys!
I received towing service from this company on April 29, 2025.
I was told over the phone that they could (and would) accept credit card payment for the towing overages AAA didn't cover.
After the driver got the car off the tow bed, he informed me that he could not take my credit card because the card reader was "broken" — but he COULD take payment in cash, and if I didn't have cash, he could "follow me to an ATM."
This was obviously unacceptable, so I called the dispatcher back to ask why I had been told they could take credit cards initially, but I'm now being told they can only take cash.
Dispatch called the driver and suddenly... they could take credit cards again. I provide my card to the driver, he takes it into the cabin of the tow truck for a few minutes (where I can't see what he is doing with the card), and then returns it to me.
I received my receipt for the towing overages at 7:15PM.
At 7:58 PM, I received a notification from my credit card company asking me to review a suspected fraudulent transaction—a $177 charge placed on Instacart.
That's exactly 43 minutes between the charge for the tow, and the fraudulent credit card transaction.
It's a 34 minute drive from Ann Arbor (where the vehicle was towed) to Westland.
Does that seem like a mere coincidence?
Thank you for being an understanding business and not charging us a crazy amount due to circumstances that was out of our control we appreciate that ( black Silverado truck with 3 flat tires )

Terrible service. Thought to self tow in the morning as usual, and will in the future now.
Had car towed a few miles for a popped tire. The driver was not educated on towing new cars with auto park (can't leave in gear and walk out of the car - this was attwmpted mutiple times, AWD must have an occupant keep car in nuetral/use nuetral release specific to OEM, or drive the short distance up the flatbed worst case, never dragged with wheels on the ground).
Heated/Venilated Steering wheel was ripped from the left 9 O'clock to the center 6 O'clock position. After making claim with insurance, the owner called to rudely argue they cause no damage and complained their call was not answered during obvious work hours. Very unprofessional service and will likely damage your vehicle interior if not your drivetrain from lack of either quality control or knowledge, or a lack of both. Will not be getting our buisness or tips again.
Horrible, my son was rear ended and police towed the car here. The cop said towing was paid for, we went to get the car and the rude woman accused us of trying not to pay! We were not informed of not to drive through the gate! She called us theives even though we paid! I have AAA and had to call a private tow. They refused to tow!!! I was humiliated for no reason and my son didn’t understand because it was his first accident
While AAA could not get a tow truck out to me until tomorrow morning, Westland Car Care got one to me In about an hour. I just have to send the receipt to AAA to get reimbursed. The driver was very nice, polite and thoughtful.
As an AAA member, I am unhappy with the tow service I received this morning. Upon arrival tow driver appeared to be incoherent or really tired. However while towing my car on flat bed, the tow truck rolled forward. After the second time, to prevent from hitting the car that was less than 6in apart, I politely alert driver. “Let me do my job” he yelled. I instantly felt uncomfortable from his tone. After several attempts he finally put my car on flat bed. After getting in car I can feel his hostility even more. I was asked to pay additional mileage fee which I was informed prior to service. I had a misunderstanding of drop off location policy which instead of professionally informing me, driver began to rant. At that point I refused service and asked to remove my car off truck. The level of disrespect I received is unacceptable. And of course they didn’t want to send different driver out
Absolutely amazing customer service! I was driving down the road and someone hit me and was too nice afterwards. Both tow truck drivers were super helpful and stood up for me while continuing to ask if I was ok. The next day I went to the tow lot to get my belongings and the girl there was very nice and informative as well.
My car broke down I called and they arrived in 20 minutes. I was very pleased with the driver Eric. He provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Would definitely use them again if needed. Thanks again Eric and Westland Car Care.
Had to have my BMW towed to a repair shop without putting the car in neutral. Aaron was very good at taking care of my car not to damage the front end or the back end, And was very patient. He knew exactly what he had to do and he got the job done, very grateful for this towing service and their employees!
This company towed my car after it was stuck over a rock at my apartment complex. On Saturday morning 10/19/24, I called this company to remove my car from on top of a rock. (I had forgotten that I had previously cancelled my bank card the night before because of suspected fraud). The driver and I had a conversation, I told him that I was going to the bank(I had to walk) when I returned my car was imploded. When I called the office, the receptionist was very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. Talking to me like I was trying to scam them. I will never use them again. Charged me 220.00 for a removal of a rock underneath my car. I had a massive stroke otherwise I would have removed it myself. Disgusting! Racist company!
Needed my truck towed home after breaking down. They were extremely responsive and gave me an accurate time to expect a tow. Very professional you could tell driver was very experienced. Great service !
To anyone who is in a bind and need a tow,I had the greatest experience ever. I spoke with a young lady name Heather and she was so attentive with my needs ,I didn't know what to do ,I told that my son was in need of a tow and she reassure me that she could have a tow sent out ,she needed the location to go for the tow and the location to where the the vehicle had to be drop off at .The tow truck driver was also very polite and he did a great job. COOL DOIS to this company and their employees working this night shift. The cost was a little steep but it was well worth it for Peace of Mind.Once again Thank You !
Had to have our car towed to a dealership from our driveway due t a flat tire. This was set up through AAA roadside assistance. We ended up calling/messaging the dealership the next day, who informed us that the driver never filled out the envelope for after-hours drop off, and that they couldn't locate the keys for our car. After calling back and forth with the towing company and the dealership, it's been 2 days, and we still haven't found the keys. The towing company keeps telling us that the driver dropped off the keys, but we went and looked around the lot at the dealership and even spoke with a service manager who advised us that they do not have the keys. I called the towing company after this, and was informed that "our drivers would NEVER do this, and ALWAYS drop off the keys with the vehicle." Clearly, they do not.
I called back the towing company this morning, after speaking with the dealership, and finally got an employee who seemed to care. She took my information, apologized as she wasn't working yesterday when I had had these repeated conversations with other employees and advised that she would talk to the manager when he arrives in the office and would call me back.
Horrible service. One of the agents called and said the driver was at Inkster and Ford Rd. Remind you I'm at Inkster
and Warren literally 1 mile away. I see the driver pull up in the complex exactly where my vehicle was and then pulled off. I called back and the rude lady said that wasn't my driver but I know it was she lied. I believe she rerouted my driver to a police call as if I wasn't important. She was rude and disrespectful when I asked her about it. Then she had to nerves to send my request back to AAA to inconvenience me. They don't even deserve a the one star. Horrible service.
Had totaled my car over the weekend and they were closed the next day (Sunday) and I didn't make it until Tuesday afternoon after work in that time frame someone managed to steal everything worth value out of the car even change. Then proceeded to park cars so close to the doors that I could only open one half an inch. I know things are stolen because I had tools in the hatch that you could see through the window and it was completely clear when I got there, also I managed to squeeze my arm in enough to try and get my $89 bottle of cologne and it was missing. I mentioned that I was unable to get into my car and the front desk lady acted like I said nothing. I didn't feel like pressing the issue because I already read the reviews here and knew what I was getting into. Don't give this place any money if you can help it.
When Mike got there, it was such an absolute relief! A great guy, extremely careful with our vehicle that had it's driver rear wheel assembly( front shock and all) blown out of the unibody, kept us entertained and happy the entire ride back home, after waiting for a bit it was definitely a fine tow job and an excellent driver. keep it up Ya'll!
We went there for the auction that they have on the third Tuesday of every month
We got there at 10:45 a.m., the auction was supposed to start at 11. After waiting for about 15 minutes for somebody to help us a girl working there finally asked me if she could help me I asked her about the auction and she said it was already over. What a waste of time.
Doug was absolutely wonderful! He was actually there helping someone else, but when he saw me stranded, he got in touch with AAA right away to get my claim transferred to them, saving me from an estimated 2 hour wait! I also received a follow-up call shortly thereafter from the company making sure I was satisfied. I will absolutely be requesting them in the future!
My wife's work van broke down today. WCC, was the first tow company she called. They couldn't help because her van supposedly too tall and couldn't go under any overpasses. There were no overpasses between the pick up and drop off point. My wife then asked if they could recommend anyone, they replied, "Google it". That and the fact she was repeatedly put on hold.
Very bad customer service.
Won't ever do business with WCC again.

Thank you AAA for sending my angle Trevor to help me. He listened to my issue and help me get my car home without having to have it towed. Her was great. Westland Car Towing has a great worker. Hope they appreciates him.
At first I though this place was awesome since they had me hooked up and towed out of a busy intersection within 15 minutes, drove me back to my office, then dropped my truck off at home and put bricks on the wheels so it wouldn't roll (my drive shaft had broken a U bolt). Come to find out they backed my truck into my tree and didn't say anything even after I called to commend the driver on his prompt arrival and for dropping me off at work and blocking my wheels. Filed a claim with AAA, they said I should hear from the tow company within a few days. Haven't heard from them in two weeks and now they won't return any calls or emails from AAA. If your tow service sends them to you request someone else!!!
EDIT - It has now been three months since they damaged the bed of my truck. Westland Towing is disputing the well documented evidence of the damage and refusing to work with AAA (not my favorite organization at the moment, either). I got two estimates from their biggest competition and they now say that the prices are double what they would charge. REFUSE SERVICE IF THEY ARE SENT TO TOW YOUR CAR AND NEVER TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE FOR SERVICE.
EDIT #2 - So just met with AAA and the Gaspar Fiore wannabe owner of this fine establishment. He threatened me in front of the AAA adjuster and field rep. Tried to deny AGAIN that his company is at fault. Then started yelling like a child and sped out of my office's parking lot after I brought up his Google and Yelp ratings.
EDIT #3 - After taking this all the way to the regional management AAA finally got me a resolution to this claim after over 4 months since filing. AAA is making this joke of a company pay full replacement cost to fix the damage to the bed of my truck. They are also going to be auditing them to see if they want to continue to use them as a towing contractor after seeing their piss poor online reviews and the number of complaints they get about Westland Towing. Doug, I hope this is a wakeup call for you to start being a decent human being and not screwing over almost anyone who is unfortunately sent your way but I doubt it because you are a true POS. I also filed a complaint with BBB because somehow this place has an A rating.
