SCAMMERS ALERT!! ON TOP OF SCAMMING ME THEY WERE 4 TO 5 HOURS LATE FOR PICKING UP THE VEHICLE THAT THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD BE THERE FOR AT 1:00 P.M. PROMPTLY THEY SAID. If I could give zero Stars I would. EVERY TIME THEY CALLED ME BACK THEY TRIED SOME NEW EXCUSE ABOUT THEIR TRUCKS BEING BROKE DOWN AND HAVING TO GO PICK UP SOMEBODY. THEY TRIED SCAMMING ME OUT OF THE CASH THAT I WAS PROMISED BY THE CASH FOR CARS COMPANY BUYING MY CAR WHEN THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER STARTED TELLING ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE CATALYTIC CONVERTER BACK FROM FACTORY STOCK AND RIMS FROM STOCK I KNEW RIGHT AWAY IT WAS A SCAM THEY TRIED telling me they could only give me a little bit of money because of that reason when it was never discussed over the phone ever I believe the driver was trying to scam me along with the company they are in it together. The company that hired acre Auto parts and scrap is a foreign company and I believe they hire them but either way both companies are scamming together. You are a liar because you do have a work order for me so not only do you scam people but you're a liar too your response took how many weeks afterwards and you've called me four or five times since then you are a liar and a scammer!! Not to mention look at all your other reviews that say you're a scammer as well!!
They're scammers. You call them and they offer you $500 to $600. They come to your house, see the car, and say, "I need to take some pictures." Ok go ahead, Then they tell you “I have to call my boss”, and the person on the phone (the Boos) says, "Look, I'm offering you this amount of money," much less, and why? Because the catalytic converter is aftermarket, the rims aren't original, and a whole host of other issues. They try it to me, I recommended them, and they did it to my mother-in-law and a friend. It's a way of trying to take advantage of you.
Acres Auto is a complete mess. Defective parts, zero accountability, and constant excuses. We were repeatedly told our orders were ready, only to show up and be turned away. Staff and ownership are rude, lazy, and dismissive. After spending thousands here, we’ve learned they don’t stand behind anything they sell. Avoid this place at all cost!!
Terrible experience. Was supposed to show up at 5pm yesterday then driver called and said he wouldn’t be here till 7pm. Rescheduled for today at 3. Driver didn’t show up until 5:15pm offered less than what was agreed with on the phone and said they weren’t the original cats on the vehicle (which they in fact are he didn’t even take a picture of the cats he took a picture of something completely different ) Owner seemed apologetic on the phone yesterday and today until their driver showed up then said he didn’t want to deal with my finance and hung up.
As a business owner, reliability and accountability matter. Unfortunately, Acres Auto in Waterford seems to operate without either.
We have spent thousands of dollars here over time, and every transaction somehow ends the same way: defective parts, zero accountability, and outright refusal to refund or correct their own mistakes. This is not an isolated incident it’s a pattern.
What makes it worse is the blatant disregard for customers’ time. On multiple occasions, we were explicitly told our order was ready, only to arrive and be turned away with no explanation and no apology. That level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially when dealing with other businesses.
The attitude from both staff and ownership is consistently rude, dismissive, and lazy. Instead of problem-solving, they deflect, argue, or simply don’t care. There is no professionalism, no urgency, and certainly no respect for repeat customers who have supported them financially.
If you enjoy wasting money, being talked down to, and walking away empty-handed after being promised service, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and take your business somewhere that values customers and stands behind what they sell.
They were fast and friendly but cut my quote in half when they showed up. My issue is they promised a price without asking about anything. 600 delivered/550 towed turned into 300 in the end. I felt scammed. They always go straight to the catalytic converter saying it's wrong in some way. Scam all day. The tow truck driver let me use his phone to take a pic of the exhaust then got very defensive and claimed I messed his phone up. I asked for a return and they said it was already scrapped so they must of rushed it to the yard just to IMMEDIATELY scrap ît. SCAM!! Vultures. Worst part I was waiting for AZ Auto and their phone number was so close to each other. My fault though I didn't do the digging until it was too late.
It's a couple of days later and I'm still furious! To make room for a new (used) car I decided to get rid of a possibly fixable car that meant a lot to me even though wasn't worth a lot of money in it's current state. Now I'm short some money and extremely mad at myself that I got convinced of something I know wasn't true. The guy picking up the car told me the catalytic converter was missing. He kept pointing at an area under the middle of the car where there was a wide pipe like a resonator or muffler and said that's where the cat should be. I knew that wasn't right but having so much on my mind I couldn't remember why that was wrong. I was getting close to looking in the right area for the cat when my phone battery died in the bitter cold, all while he was telling me I was looking in the wrong area. The car was now on his truck and I needed less projects and more room, so I reluctantly took the lower amount from him for the car. Unfortunately it was well after the car was gone that I remembered where the catalytic converter was, and that I had seen it and it was original and still there. On that car the cat is very forward, up a bit and near the exhaust manifold. Actually the easiest way to see it is looking under the hood behind the engine! (something I see the driver doing on the doorbell camera video!) As a result of this bad deal, I ended up canceling the car purchase from the dealer that suggested Acre for picking up my old car. Oh, and the guy picking up the car said I should be very happy with what he paid because it was far more than he would normally give for a car without a catalytic converter!
Wish I had checked the reviews before I called, instead of assuming they were good based on a car dealers recommendation. I see several similar stories in the last twelve months, so apparently the negative reviews are not changing anything.
Spoke to Monty and arranged a prompt pickup for a car damaged beyond repair due to a run in with a deer (due to the value of the car, it wasn't worth repairing or filing a claim). What started as a good experience - Great communication, good price and fast pickup - quickly changed. We needed the car picked up same day since it was at a location other than our residence, and we had to have it moved that day so we were happy when they said they could do this. Upon arrival, the driver informed us they would have to pay us less than the agreed upon price, due to the catalytic converter not being original. We bought the car with less than 20K miles from a dealership - it was a GM Certified used car. The car has 130,000 miles and we have NOT replaced this part. We were not in a position to argue as we had to get this car moved ASAP and we are not auto techs, so we took the lesser amount, trusting what they told us. Upon looking at online reviews and the BBB website (which I should have done first - so my bad), it seems we were not the first people this has happened to with this company. I called Monty the next day to express my displeasure with their poor business practices, and he was rude and unapologetic. I even asked him if a catalytic converter would go bad 10-20K miles and he said not likely. I told him about the reviews I saw online and BBB and got very defensive - Simply stating - "no one forced you to sell your car to us". While true, they knew we were in a vulnerable position since we had to get the car moved that day. Please beware of this company. Caller ID says "Waterford Auto Parts & Salvage" and also listed under "Acre Auto Parts & Scrap". They probably will make a lot of money off my car...We trusted them and feel we got scammed. I did inform Monty I would be filing a BBB complaint as well as giving a negative online review.
Tow truck driver was nice but the deal was about as bad as you would expect from a scrap yard. Give a price over the phone. Driver gets here at least claimed to be sending pictures to the boss then puts me on the phone with the boss to say I have an aftermarket catalytic converter and steel wheels instead of aluminum and so it’ll be $150 less, when I am very confident that it was the original cat. But oh well, the car was gone within 2 hours of my initial call.
I purchased a part from the yard and Brandon took care of me and he even put the part on and didn't charge for it. He was very courteous and very nice I would highly recommend this business . I will return again if I need something else.
I would give them 0 stars if I could! We drove 2 1/2 hours one way to pick up a car they had for sale all while in communication that we were on the way. They told us since we were the first ones to call that they would hold it for us until we got there since we had such a long drive. When we arrived, another couple was already in the process of buying it! They had told that couple that if they could get there before we did they could buy it! Everything they told us was a complete lie! Trust me, they will screw you over if they get the chance!
Ron was my Driver. Very nice and cooperative. Honest about everything that was going on and helpful. He drove to Flint to pick up my junk car and communicated the whole time.
Been coming here for over 20 years!! Great company, never regretted a single purchase. Had them come get 4 or 5 cars an always got top dollar. Definitely recommend!!
I had a poor experience with this buyer. He agreed to a set price before showing up, but once he arrived, he falsely claimed the car was missing a catalytic converter (when it was very much there) in an attempt to lower the price. I don’t appreciate being lied to or conned. Sellers, please use caution.

Called another company but apparently one of the acre drivers picks up for a different company as well. Was quoted $500 for my car over the phone. Which has everything and runs just doesnt shift. Once he got here he took pictures and checked that everything was there. Tired telling me I was missing a converter which I wasnt. My husband had to show him where to find it so don't trust them when they say something is missing. Then after everything tired offering me $350 for my car. I had better offers on Facebook just needed the car gone today. The guy tried haggling with us. If you quote a price you should honor that price. I understand if my car was broke down and missing a bunch of crap but it wasnt. I had low miles, brand new tires, and everything worked except for the TCM. He finally agreed to the original price but it should not have went that way at all. Do better!
Be very careful dealing with this seller. We bought a used transmission for our Chrysler, but when we asked for a return, they refused. At first, they offered to exchange it, but later denied the sale completely and claimed the part wasn’t theirs. No receipt was provided at the time of purchase, which makes the situation even worse. Very unprofessional and dishonest experience — I do not recommend doing business with them

be very wary of selling your car to them. they’re cheap and unfair. you can find better deals elsewhere. they basically robbed me and gave me 2x less than what was deserved. my fault, i shouldn’t have trusted them but make sure you check and not listen to their advice!
update: they asked to “resolve” the situation but continued to lowball and con me. they are scammers and will scam you to the end. one good experience with someone THEY find worth it does not equate to the amount of bad experiences with people THEY don’t find worth it. they don’t actually care about you or your belongings and don’t care what they do to take it from you. they just want theirs and they will con you into getting theirs. please don’t fall for their tricks. there are better options out there, keep searching like i should have.
this business gave us plenty of windows for broke car pick up, and arrived early in that window. The driver was courteous and went to the job efficiency. the car was loaded,the agreed to market price was payed- in cash- and the title exchanged. zim zam zoom appreciated job well done! % recommended, thankyou
Nick was my tow truck driver, he was amazing pulled up and gave me a better price then the original tow, Great customer service, very fast service there in 30 minutes of call. Make sure you ask for NICK he is great guy wants to get you the best price and also what's to get in and out quickly.

We bought a 2008 ford escape from them for a great deal they worked with us on the price and made the whole process of buying it super easy and fast you guys really helped us out more than you know!
