What clients say about Parts Galore in Detroit (MI)

Called here and the lady was no help. Told me we might have the part but probably not and there is only 1 of the same car as mine on the lot. Mind you I was there Monday and there was a whole row of my car. All I wanted was a price. So instead I went to Holbrook auto. Might of paid a little more but worth it. Fire the lady who answers the phone at Parts Galore. She is costing you business. Telling people " yeah we probably don't have it" before I even tell her my car. And if she is reading this comment " You suck at your job."

Very very shitty customer service The lady that answered the phone hung up on me within 10 seconds of giving me any kind of answer

Been there many times no problems with employees or patrons; and they have even let me walk with some small bits at the cash out, just told me no worries and have a nice day

Been coming here since they opened at least 100 times plus purchased about six batteries one was just slightly out of warranty by 3 weeks I put a whole 10 Mi on the vehicle it sits at my workplace I called and stopped there three times then they finally asked Jessica and told me they would just give me 10% off of replacement that's a slap in the face I'll be going to Earl's for now on and US Auto parts been a loyal customer for years that was pretty cold not happy at all and I swear I put a whole 10 Mi on this battery.

I just called this place and the lady was not helpful! She didn't help me with anything. I asked if I paid an extra fee for someone to take out a part for me, she says yes. I asked if she knew when they will be in and all she answers is idk. Idk what? Do you not work there? Can you not find out for the customer? Not professional!

Great place to find any parts you need for a very reasonable prices. It just need better arranging because vehicles are not sorted by factory made or models, they are everywhere and anywhere so you will spent some time to look for what you want. Overall it is good place, has many selections.

Lousy customer service from the female employees they got lousy attitude just for asking a question.

LOTS of vehicles to pull from here. Fair pricing, friendly staff and big wheel barrels.

Always some gems at the this yard. With the new row number and inventory can see if its worth your time. Car may stripped down but still know your model is there and can search for other parts.

This Salvation yard is an good place with a large selection of cars and a convenient location. However, I was a little disappointed to find that some of the cars declared as available were not actually there. Because of this, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

The place was nice and organized. $2 to get in the yard, and the guy who checked me in helped me find the car I was looking for. Their website is finicky on mobile, so I had a hard time navigating to find cars available and part prices. If you plan on getting heavy items from imports or have a heavy-ish tool bag, I'd suggest taking a wheelbarrow or something cause their lot is so damn long, lol. They also have vending machines with drinks and snacks and a rest area by where the imports start.

This place sucks same price and every other junk yard that pulls the parts for you. It's good it your looking for small window switches to stick in your pocket underwear without paying its good that's about it. The place done even answer there phone

Absolutely terrible service i called in from over 2 hours away to see if they had a specific car on the lot and they said yes. Drove all the way there and they didn't have it

All the employees were great except the security guard he doesn’t understand you can’t explode from a gas tank with no gas in it

Worst place to go for parts. They strip the vehicles before they put them on the lot and don't tell you so they can charge an entry fee. If you need a part definitely go somewhere else.

My only experience with this business is when I gave them a quick call to ask whether or not any of the Accords in their yard were hybrids or not, and the rude woman who answered the phone sighed loudly and told me "You have to come check for yourself." I live in Jackson, I'm not driving all the way to Detroit on a whim because they can't answer a simple question. Quick and rediculous experience!

Was junking one of my vehicles through Peddle despite the KBB & Car Fax report stating my vehicle was worth way more based on my service history & Vin #. Peddle matched me with these guys but then they tried to offer me $150 less because my vehicle doesn't have its catalytic converter. If it did btw, I'd take it off myself, I understand precious metals and how much Rhodium & Palladium goes for. Ultimately I called Peddle and explained the breach in contract (I actually read the terms , conditions & policies) and that according to the terms, negotiating a different price with the tow null & voids the help of Peddle & it's supposedly guaranteed amount. Well... Peddle didn't very much like that and matched me immediately with a different tow that didn't change it's amount. I'm pretty certain they took note.

They're scammers. Sold me a battery 11.20.23 and had to get it replaced 12.13.23. after that the battery read bad at auto zone on 1.24.24 and they said since it reads ok with them they refuse to swap it out. They're batteries and service is trash

This place is really convenient. You only need to pay $2 to enter for the day. Bring your own tools and pull your own parts. You can call ahead and see if they have the car you're looking for in the yard so you don't waste your time too. It's about as simple as you-pick junk yards can get. They also have engine lifts available to use and wheelbarrows to carry your stuff too.

Sold my disabled vehicle with them. Very courteous. Quick to respond and had an appointment 2 days later. Showed up as scheduled, driver was friendly. Check in hand on pick up. Glad to have it off of my place. Would recommend.

For a u pick junk yard pretty clean and organized. Rows are labeled on first car in row. Alot of the cars are picked clean but it's a junkyard, you expect to find anything but junk here you're looking in the wrong place. It took me 12 cars to find my one part, it only cost me $16 plus the $2 entry fee, the part brand new is $400 not a bad gamble in my eyes. I suggest you search the inventory on their website your self some of the employees are half witted and rude

Very friendly and professional. Pam did a great job getting the pickup scheduled (had to reschedule because of a snowstorm… she called and got it scheduled for the next day); and Scott the tow truck driver was fast and made the sale very simple and easy. I would HIGHLY recommend doing business with this company I hope they stay in business a long time!!!!

They've definitely improved over the last couple of years, but still aren't the best around. They're on the slower side of turning over vehicle inventory of the yards in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful, which has been one of the bigger improvements to match their very reasonable prices. I definitely like that I can pay for one location and get into the other 2 without paying again.

Great place to find your pickings! Always love coming here with the hubby to get parts for our "junk" lol But for real though they saved our cars quite a few times!! Thanks Parts Galore *Plan on paying $1 a person to get *BYOT-Or buy a socket set here for $10 *Wheel barrels to pick with if needed *All batteries that are good, and used are right up front. Prices vary, check site for updates!

Best salvage yard in my experiences. They may not have the vehicle you need on the lot, but if you simply call ahead of time they can tell you that. Once you et there they will hand you a list of how many they have like what you're looking for, and a location. Fool proof! The lot is very organized, and setup which is rare. I do a lot of automotive work using used parts, and I use them for my own vehicles. The pricing is unbeatable, and I leave in shock every time because I pay a fraction of what I expected for needed components! I expected less out of the staff, but they shocked me with knowledge and kindness also! It's an hour drive for me to get here, than others in my area, but worth it.
