We had a large birthday party for our friend here. They had a section for us, our server was awesome - always checking to see if anyone needed anything, the food was good and none of us waited for our orders for an unreasonable amount of time. We will be back!
Since the new ownership the food has been trash, waiters are greedy and nasty, and the management is garbage they clearly don’t know what they are doing… even went as far as pushing out old family members that have worked there for 40+ years won’t be going back to that place ever!

We had our company holiday party here. Our server was absolutly on the ball. She was so accommodating. The food was great and hot. The set up was nice. Only one comment .. would have been nice to have the TV on with christmas music. This was my first time here and I will for sure come back. Highly recommended!
First time ever going, the waitress was fairly new but had some suggestions for things she had already tried. I got the italian sandwich, which was just ok, but next time I would absolutely get a burger because that is what my boyfriend got and it was great! His burger had great smokey bacon, lots of spice (he loves jalepenos). The parm garlic fries were great. The only thing was that the live music was pretty loud and hard to have a conversation, but we had a great time. Would definitely go back.
The music was too loud for dinner. Couldn't talk with my dinner partner. We ate around 5. That type of loud music should be more for bar crowds not dinner. The steak must have been one of those fake steaks, shaped from a machine. Lol
We stopped for lunch and enjoyed our meal on the deck, which offered a stunning view. The food was delicious, although the portions seemed somewhat small considering the price. The service was attentive, but not overly interactive.
Our server checked in with us and completely checked out on us. Couldn't find her for about half an hour. Finally my dad asked another server if ours went home, they tracked her down. And that's how the night continued until we left. The server then tried to make a scene about the $2.03 tip my dad left for her, with how many times we had to ask another server to find you or do your job your lucky you got a tip. If you want a good tip do your job next time.
One of our favorite local spots. The food is always amazing! My personal favorite is the firecracker burger. They have outdoor seating with a little dock, the kids love to go look at the fish and turtles. Wait time for food is sometimes a little long but it's always worth it. Very friendly service. Overall always a great place for lunch or dinner. They also offer breakfast, but we've never made it there for that ?.
UPDATE: just stopped in and had The Walleye Sandwich. Was very good! Onion Rings were nice and crisp. Everything at the table looked delicious!!! Will be back to eat again!

Ate on the deck, it was nice, but tables need some paint. Service was adequate, but food was not. Hubby got the Reuben and fries, he said it was ok. Sauerkraut was definitely canned. I ordered southwest wrap and upgraded my side to Gordon Foods onion rings for $2.50. Once I found the meat in my wrap it was canned shredded meat, seriously!!!! We spent $50 On lunch and tip without alcohol, which we don’t mind if it’s yummy. I was hoping new owners would step it up. Not happy!

We sat inside because the deck looked full upon arrival. What a lovely spot and great place to eat. Wait staff was friendly and made sure we were taken care of, even with being so busy.
Haven't been to Turks in years. Stopped for lunch and was excited to see gizzards on the menu! My husband and I love them and we are always on the search for exceptional gizzards. These were a disappointment. Not well cleaned and very chewy. If cleaned properly they would have been towards to top of our favorites. The kicken chicken sandwich was very tasty, Italian sandwich was good but would have been better with a roasted bun. Wishing new owners much success!
Sun night (father's day) and not busy. Sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. The server and service were a bit slow but acceptable. Seemed to take a long time for our food to come out. My medium rare sizzler was overcooked and dry. Gravy was warm, but the simulated mashed potatoes were cold. My son ordered a beef and cheese sandwich, and he said he wouldn't order it again. My wife and daughter in law said their meals were good.
We used to come here often in the past and really enjoyed the food, especially the walleye. But about five years ago, something changed, not as good as it had been back then.
Great food. Great service. We had the pulled pork plate, a Ruben, and a turk burger. The Parmesan Fries are crispy and also buttery and flavorful! Can't wait to go back!
Let's start with the positives: the service was 10/10. Our server was kind, fast and engaging. I don't remember his name, but he was great!
The ambiance is gorgeous and there's a lot of old photos to look at (I love history.). There's a beautiful deck that would be nice when it's not cold and raining like it was when we were there.
We enjoyed the bean and cheese dip as an appetizer.
I ordered the toasted beef and Swiss (I asked them to add green peppers and onions) and truffle fries. It was only okay. I definitely wouldn't pay to upgrade the fries again and I wouldn't get that sandwich. That being said, I didn't complain and the server still offered to take it off our bill. I told him that wasn't necessary as I think I just ordered the wrong thing. He still insisted on giving us a discount, which was nice.
The bun overpowered the filling in the sandwich and, as you can see in the photos, the sandwich wasn't even full. I ended up ditching the bun and just eating the contents. It wasn't awful, just not amazing either.
My husband got the hot beef sandwich and was very happy with it.
Turk Lake Restaurant is the place to be at! It’s usually very busy but we got to enjoy this place on a quiet Sunday. There’s plenty of parking and plenty of tables too! We were going to eat outside on the patio area but changed our minds. With thunderstorms coming our way, we opted for drier seatings. We got some onion rings for appetizers which were real good. My drink was a frozen piña colada. I was not impressed with my drink. As far as my plate of Brisket with Mac N Cheese, was very delicious!! I’d order it again! We look forward to trying other plates in the near future!
Went there for the breakfast and was not disappointed, the bacon was nice and thick.
Husband had the scrambled skillet, we swapped the toast for a pancake.

Giving a three star because of the location and food, I would give a two star for the food the last three visits.
Went for breakfast Sunday and had asked for my child’s bacon to be deep fried so it would be crispy and it came out soft.
I asked for my eggs over hard. The egg whites are burned and the yolk is obviously runny, I ask the server to have the bacon and eggs cooked longer.
She brings out the bacon how we asked the first time and the second round of eggs came out just as runny. When I told her, her response was “I guess they don’t know how to make over hard eggs”
The corn beef had undercooked onion in abundance and our food wasn’t brought out at the same time.
This restaurant’s food has gone down hill the last year. I love the location and atmosphere and really hope they do something different soon
Our server was just a little slow and we wanted the black shade pulled up so we had a more clear view of the lake, but was advised that wasn't allowed by our waitress. Other than that we all enjoyed our food. I had the Monte Cristo and LOVED it. My girlfriend had brisket sandwich and she liked it and the 3rd meal was crispy chicken sandwich and she liked hers as well. All of the fries were fresh and crispy so were my tutor tots. We will be returning.
Nice atmosphere, sat outside by the lake. Went with a friend & they brought her shrimp meal out My chicken sandwich came over 5-10 minutes later. Waitress said "they lost my sandwich" ???
When I finally got my meal, the bun was so much bigger than the chicken. $10.95 for JUST the sandwich, Fries were $1.75 more.

If I go back because she lives nearby, I would definitely get something else.

I was introduced to this restaurant a short time ago. And it has become one of my favorites. All of the food that I have had, and my family, has been fantastic. I have not found anything I don't like.
The atmosphere is fantastic too. The staff are friendly, and the service was great!

Turk Lake Restaurant & Bar is a typical Sports Bar with an added plus of a beautiful overview of Turk Lake. When it is busy, it can get a bit loud but it isn't too bad. The food was good and the wait staff were very friendly. One thing I didn't understand was that we came in with a group larger than the two tables set together. They would not let us move a third table next to ours so we could all sit together, forcing us to split our group. That did not sit well with me, thus 4-stars.
Fantastic food and service! The brisket sandwich my wife had was awesome! Yes I got a bite! I had the hot beef brisket plate and a great salad! I'm a big guy and brought half of mine home. Can't wait for lunch leftovers tomorrow. The waitress was great, always attentive, not buggy. They really appreciated our business. We'll be back soon. 34 minute drive for us. Thanks again Turk Lake and Happy Easter!
