They do amazing work! We have been taking all of our vehicles there for years. Really reliable and such a friendly place to go to. They helped me get right back on the road the same day when my brakes went out. We truly couldn't ask for a more dependable shop to take all of our vehicles to. I wouldn't trust any other shop in town!
Horrible customer service, I asked how long it would take to get my rear brakes and rotors fixed. They told me 1.5.-2 hours. I asked so I could schedule the appointment time accordingly because I have children to pick up from school at 3. Made the appointment for 11, they didn’t get done until 3:30!!!!! 4.5 HOURS!!!!! My poor 8 year old had to sit and wait for me for 40 minutes afterschool. Once I finally got into my truck the radio screen was all messed up, my AC was on, my change out of the Center council was missing, along with my hand sanitizer, and two chapsticks. And my daughter’s pick up sign for was on the floor on the passenger side. I wouldn’t take my vehicle there if they paid me! EDIT: I will not retract anything. For one, I dropped my vehicle off at 10:45. You then called me at 11:39, I have the call log if you would like to see it letting me know it was also my rotors. I then gave the approval. Not ONCE did anyone explain to me that ordering the parts would take another 1-1.5 hours. And not ONCE did anyone explain to me that the shop closes from 12-1 for a lunch break! Because if I had known an extra 2-2.5 hours would have been added to the work time of 1.5-2 hours I would have never made the appointment for 11, because I would not have been able to pick my kids up ONTIME!!! So maybe when people ask how long the job takes explain to them you take an hour lunch and then the parts take another hour or more so people can schedule ACCORDINGLY!
An honest place that I trust! We occasionally take our company work vehicles here, but I drive my personal vehicle 30 minutes away because I trust them.
Rob was very helpful in diagnosing and fixing my truck. I left happy because I saved money and time on a simple fix. Highly recommend you stop in when your vehicle needs attention.
Driving home and my tire pressure started dropping fast. Screw in tire and losing air fast. Pulled in to Mike’s 30 minutes before they were closing and they didn’t even hesitate! Came out and got my car and fixed the hole right away! This is why we love our local garage!!
Had my car towed at 5:30am. I love the fact that they are 24/7 towing and how quickly they responded. Within 20 minutes they were already out and towing my car. I highly recommend these guys.

I always take my vehicles here and they do great work for a great price. No one talks to me like I'm an idiot. It's lovely. I moved to Monroe and tried finding a mechanic close by for a suspension problem I was having and got nothing but trouble for weeks.
I called a week ago and made an appointment and they gave me their cost estimate (less than half of anywhere else I went) and then that's exactly what they charged me. No surprises.
I will never waste my time trying to go anywhere else again. If my car can't drive far. I'll pay for the tow to get it here. If there's a long wait because they're busy... I'll happily wait until they have the time.
Shady business, horrible quality of work, and terrible customer service. Over $2,000 on my car and it still is exhibiting the same issues that I took it in for. They will create issues, lie to you about the issues with your car, and then charge you as much as they can to “fix” them. Shop around, please. Do not use this business.
Called Mike's when my truck broke down to make sure they would do the work I thought it needed. I told them the diagnostic codes it was throwing and they said yeah bring it down. So I used Larocca's for the tow from Monroe to Dundee. After my truck sat there for a week they called and said they had got it in for diag and in fact it was the lifters and they took out the cam shaft. Also told me one of the 2 codes it was throwing. Then proceeded to tell me that they aren't equipped to do that kind of work there. So I paid my diag fee and had it towed to the Chevy dealer in Milan. Once they got it in for diag they told me that it was infact the lifters and the cam, and that there was no way Mike's did any kind of diag as the cylinder heads need to be removed to check the cam shaft and the valve covers were never even removed. So Mike's knew what it was in for, told me to bring it down that they could do it. Then a week of my time wasted later, charged me $50 to write down 1 of the 2 codes I had told them it was throwing and lied about the whole diagnostic process. I recommend finding an honest backyard mechanic over Mike's garage. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I rarely write a bad review.unless you want to get robbed don't go here. 1200 later and I still have brake problems and they don't care if I bring it back to them they're just going to charge me more. Please be smart and shop around.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, very quick and high quality work. Dropped my car off there and barley an hour later they called and said it was done and ready for pickup and it was a good chunk cheaper than I expected. 10/10 will absolutely be coming back for future repairs
We ran out of gas on the side of the freeway. We luckily have AAA plus and it covers someone to bring out a few gallons of gas to get us to the gas station. This is the company that they sent out. They demanded cash for the gas when they got there. We tried to tell them it should be included in the membership. They told us that it is their policy to charge for gas. I told them to leave because I knew it was included. They are just scammers and they just want more money. Beware when using them!!!
I found Mike's garage after months of pulling my hair out calling every dealership in SE Michigan trying to get a reasonable price on getting my transmission codes read. Most dealers quoted me over $120 plus at least a month out, saying they needed special techs/equipment to read those codes. I gave him a call and he said come by the very next day plus no charge, was very nice and professional I was in and out in 15 minutes. He wouldn't even accept the money I wanted to give him. Can not recommend him enough drive the distance, go out of your way, drop whatever mechanic you have go to him he's the man.
I called and made an appointment to drop my car off on Friday morning. I called on Tuesday after not hearing from them at which time I was informed they could not get to my car until Thursday. It would have been nice to know that information before I dropped my car off. I went and picked my car up and will no longer be using this mechanic. I wasted three days with my car just sitting there when another shop got me in the very next morning. Wasted my time with this shop.
I came in from out of town and my transmission fluid was leaking pretty badly. They were able to get it in and fix it and was very reasonable. This is the second time they have come to my rescue I had a serpentine belt break and they were able to fit me in the day before I was to go back home. I recommend them very highly!
I had a unknown problem. The crew checked the battery and the charging system and found they were working as they should. Luckily it was only a .39 part, which they replaced. They charged me nothing, smiled told me to come back when I had a "real problem". They could have sold me something I didn't need and I would have never been the wiser. I appreciate the honesty and thier time. God bless the crew at Mike's garage. I would recommend them and will use them in the futute. Thanks guys.
DANGEROUS: So I took my vehicle here first for a leaking power steering fluid line. The mechanic said it was a particular line, then later said it was two different lines and that he had to wait for the part for the second one. I asked him to go ahead and replace the one he did have as I needed to drive it locally. He did so and the leaking problem did not improve in the slightest. Later on I realized he probably misdiagnosed the line that was leaking in the first place so I ended up paying for two lines when I only needed one. FAR WORSE happened when I brought it there because I thought my brakes were sticking. They had the van all day and when I came to pick it up after work and they told me my brakes were fine and not sticking at all, and that it was actually likely my transmission that was causing the problem and that they don't work on transmissions on a van as old as mine. After being told the vehicle was completely safe to drive I drove it to Monroe with my kids to a transmission specialty shop. The mechanic at the shop took the vehicle for a ride with me and was insistent that the problem had to be my brakes sticking. He brought us back to his shop and jacked up the vehicle and tried to turn one of the wheels and it was very obvious that one of the brakes had been completely seized up. He showed me the amount of heat that was coming off of that wheel and had me compare it to the other side which was fine. He explained to me that driving the vehicle was extremely dangerous and that it could of caused a fire! So I called the shop again and I ended up having to pay them to tow the vehicle and to finally fix the brakes they had not diagnosed. That will be the last time I ever do business there. The mechanic from the transmission place could not fathom how anyone could of missed that this brake was seized.
I have been coming here for a little over year and they are absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough good things! The price is fair and the staff seriously know their stuff. Every visit has been great but the most recent one really blew me away. Not only did one of the mechanics walk back to my disabled vehicle with me to try and get it started, but they also worked after hours to get it done for me so I could have it before my delivery driving shift began the next day. I didn't even ask them to! These guys rock. If you're looking for a seriously talented and caring group of men and women to look after your vehicles - you've found them.
We were returning home from a National car show on a Sunday night with our 1984 Oldsmobile, and our water pump broke at the Welcome Center just north of the Ohio border in Michigan. After getting the electronic run-around at my insurance company, and calling another local towing/car repair facility with no answer, I called Mike’s. They sent a tow truck which got to us in 20 minutes. They took the car (and us) to their garage in Dundee, where a relative picked us up and took us home. They found a water pump for the old car and completed the job, all at a reasonable price by end of day Tuesday. I was delighted with their service.
This place is amazing. We were on a cross country road trip (NY to WA) and noticed we were leaking oil. We stopped in to Mike’s and they rearranged their schedule to see us right away. They tinkered around for a bit and found the location of the leak and walked us through everything. The woman at the front was very knowledgeable and explained that although she couldn’t do anything for us that day (the whole transmission would have needed to be removed and parts ordered) they made it clear we could continue on with our road trip as long as we kept an eye on the oil.
Not only did they not charge us for an hour worth of work, but a man showed us how to properly check the oil and gave us a rag for our trip. Very friendly and professional, would definitely recommend.
Kassidy and her father came in on a Saturday (their day off) to work on my vehicle. They were extremely helpful and great people. The service is exceptional, and prices are fair. I had a flat tire just south of Dundee and the cable to release the spare on my Yukon was frozen (common issue). I was towed to Mike’s and they took great care of me. Instead of cutting the cable to my spare, they found a suitable spare at a very reasonable price and also ensured that the wheel/rim were in appropriate working condition. The store manager was friendly/knowledgeable and she told me it would be a quick turnaround so I could get back on the road - took well less than 1 hour and all was good!
