Very rude, was hung up on while still speaking. I called to inquire about vehicle salvage because when looking on google for “scrap yard near me” they popped up. I called and asked about them picking up a vehicle that is no longer working and was just rudely told we’re not a scrap yard and hung up on.
Very rude. I asked 2 people in the building for assustance and was pointed in the right direction, then a very rude, larger girl with dark brown hair came by and was very rude. I had been going there to repurpose paper for our rescue animals, but made to feel like I was trying to get away with something. So, ok. Let it fill our landfill instead, sadly.
Had a hard time trying to figure out where to check in. There are no signs directing you to check in with anyone. The front building is not connected with the Landfill and will provide no information that is helpful. Didn’t have the best experience. Will not be returning.
Great place to go in order to recycle things that can't go in the normal recycle bin such as unknown plastics and aluminum foil. They also have events for Halloween and other major holidays.
Midland Recyclers is a wonderful and much needed service. So glad there is a place to rid of recyclables instead of overloading the landfills. They do a good job separating items. It's too bad that the facility isn't larger because it barely can keep up with demand. Many times, the bins are overflowing with no place to leave your recyclables. There have been 2 or 3 times I found the facility closed during normal open hours and had to turn around and exit, which was a wasted trip.
I appreciate the volunteers who devote their time to help make it work. Unfortunately, I have not experienced a friendly environment. If I ask for assistance, I feel I am a bother. I can overlook that and continue to use this service because sustainability is critical for our environment.
Great, easy place for home owners to clean hazmat and other materials from home. But, for workers that have to come here there not very stoop to having things, workers ready.
I've never met these rude people others have complained about. Stopped late today and one of the staff showed me the ins and outs of battery recycling. Each type of battery in its place. Lots better than dumping them in the garbage. Thanks.
Easy to offload recyclables. Plenty of large push bins if you want to do it yourself. Didn't see any volunteers to help out. Luckily the bin carts made it almost laborless.
I love this place, what a great experience!! EVERY city should have a place like this or many of them. As soon as I arrived I was greeted and helped by two of the volunteers, they showed me around and explain all the sorting. I wish I knew this place sooner, I can now save and bring all PLASTICS number 5,6,7, the egg cartons, foam, bubble wrap. They even have items for SALE!!! Please share this place with all your friends and family, please RECYCLE, DONATE or VOLUNTEER.
Great place to drop off recyclables. It can be a bit congested at high volume times. If you are not sure about something being taken, please check with the manager as they accept more items than you think. The biggest downside is folks that just dump stuff or don't know where things go and place things in wrong bins, this just makes it harder for the staff to keep up.
Love this grass roots recycling center that accepts many hard to recycle items that the curbside program doesn't take. The staff are amazing, and do a great job with customers. 10/10 recommend using their services
Terribly rude personnel. Approx 37 different bins for things, but I repeatedly could not find a bin for what I had (colored plastic, office paper, cereal boxes, wine bottles) and no one knew or seemed to care where it went when I asked. Was even told to love my car because someone wanted to hand shovel the particular spot I parked in. Recycling has never been more difficult.
The most rude people I have ever met. I stopped in right at opening and a lady started to yell at me about dropping things off unattended. My vehicle wasn't even open yet and I hadn't even dropped anything off yet. I told her it looks like there is stuff staged all over and there is no sign. That only made her more mad. She yelled at me and went in the building closing the door behind her. I told her that was no way to talk to someone but it didn't look like she cared. Strongly encourage people to not go here. Incredibly mean and rude people. I took my donated appliance elsewhere.
I came in 45 minutes before their posted closing times on a Friday and a short man with glasses came out and told me they were no longer accepting paper and cardboard boxes and that they were closing early and to come back on Monday with the recycling. After driving all the way out there He had me THROW away the cardboard and paper into a large trash bin instead of putting it in the recycling bins. Not sure if he just didn’t want to do whatever he volunteers for or what. I have never been to a recycling center that throws away paper and cardboard into the TRASH.
Have gone with carloads on several occasions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and efficiently run. They have lots of items for sale for crafters and upcyclers as well as good clean boxes for moving days.
