Company price gouged for a tow. Charged $775 accident charge plus a tow charge. Owners were extremely rude and refused my payment and demanded cash.

I normally don't leave reviews but I had a very bad experience with this business. Had Mid State Towing tow a vehicle to an auto-shop recently (which went fine). However, there was a billing issue with my insurance that resulted in Mid State calling me to get payment some weeks later. At first I thought it was a scam phone call since the person calling was vague and dodging questions. After asking for clarification out of my own confusion/concern, the person calling from the office was incredibly rude, dismissive, and flat-out confrontational. I paid and asked them to send me a receipt for my insurance coverage. They said they would but I haven't received it. I will never seek anything from this towing service again. If you want to work with someone organized and capable of demonstrating any basic human empathy, I'd recommend avoiding this business.

I've used midstate for many years as well as Coles had all there trucks dispatched so I called Mid-State which is always worked with my insurance company which is State farm and billed them directly but today for some reason they couldn't today and was tude saying they dont know who towed me before but it wasn't them. Thats bs cause it was them. I highly recommend Coles if you want proper service as well as above and beyond services. Very disappointed Mid State

The tow truck driver, Ed, that came out was incredibly friendly and helpful. A delivery company decided to leave my new engine in the middle of the driveway and the driver pulled it up on his lift and moved it! Great pricing and great service. I know who I'll call for future tows!

Was my first time breaking down as a young girl so I was pretty nervous but the customer service was phenomenal! The receptionist and the wrecker driver were both super nice. I broke down at 2:00 on the dot on a busy road, at 2:22 I called them, and at 2:47 they were hooking up to the vehicle. We dropped the vehicle off at my mechanic and I got a ride home and i'm home by 3:30! Definitely gonna be my first call next time I break down

Love these guys! Totaled my car and they were so kind and helpful when they got it from the crash site and when I came to get my belongings out.

All of their Operators/ Drivers have always been very pleasant and friendly. We use them a minimum of three times a year for the past 10 years or so.

Yesterday I made an appointment with Mid State Towing to have my car picked up and taken to the local Chrysler dealership today. I don't know the Mid State driver's name, but not only did he arrive early, but he was truly a "class act"... an exceptionally polite, courteous and efficient gentleman!! There haven't been many times I've needed the services of a towing company, but this experience was the BEST EVER!! I highly recommend Mid State if you ever need the services of a towing company.

Thank you for yet another wonderful experience when I broke down less than a minute from your office this morning! Had me hooked up and ready to go before my husband came to rescue me and get me to work! I ended up only 5 min late for work and my car broke down 15 min away from my work and I had 30 min to get there when it all happened. Above and beyond from you guys every time!

I've had to call them a couple of times in recent years and the guys always good care of my vehicle. They are always very respectful.

They quoted me a price that was very reasonable, and they were there before the time they told me. Ed the driver was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend them for your towing need as if I need a tow again will be calling them.

I was quoted $470 by another company and your price was, as always, way better and your service superior as usual. Very fast once they called me back from being requested from AAA. Tony over the phone was very professional and Ed the driver was the nicest, coolest driver I ever had for a tow truck driver. Highly recommend you use them.

My Grandson had a blowout on M10 and had no spare. He left the car because of a commitment and called me near Alpena. I called several towing companies before reaching Mid State. Mid State advised me on where to tow the vehicle for service. They were very professional and towed the vehicle to the destination with no incident. Car tire was replaced the next day. Not all emergencies are resolved this well.

I would not recommend this company. Not only are they rude, but they did not send the correct type of tow vehicle and charged my dad $30 to have a tire changed and then charged the insurance company to tow the vehicle to a dealer. The insurance company scheduled this service and I even called Mid State to make sure they understood the problem with the car. The man I spoke to was rude and didn't want to listen to what I was explaining to him. They knew the tire was flat and the car was possibly not drivable even after the tire was changed. We simply needed the car taken to a dealer for inspection. We did not need the tire changed. They should have hoisted the car on a flatbed but didn't bring a flat bed, because in the owners words " You don't need a flatbed for a Buick Regal" well, sir, when you take a job and are given details about the job, you should send the correct tow vehicle. They took advantage of an elderly man and charged him to change the tire and then charged the insurance company to tow it. I would never recommend this company.

Dispatcher Tony was completely unprofessional in handling my tow, which required a little special circumstances (which were identified when the tow was requested). Raised his voice several times and demeaned me as a customer with several of his comments over the phone. He also told me one rate then charged me a higher price. Would never use again.

I needed a tow after my water pump blew... I specified I needed it back into my driveway and they sent a flatbed to do it and they were to me in less than 20 minutes. The driver was very nice backed the huge truck into my tiny driveway with cars all over on the road!!! It was great and they did a terrific job!! Highly recommended

Great experience with them today. We were on way to my son's game and got a flat tire. Driver TJ arrived quickly and fixed us up in a jiffy. Would recommend them to anyone.

Very good service! My car broke down on the side of the road, so I called my insurance and they set me up with these guys. They came at the time that I was told they were, they took my car back to my house(half an hour away), and even put it in the garage! The driver was very kind, and easy to talk to! Overall, a great service for when your car doesn't decide it wants to work!

Mid state towing was very fast to arrive and pleasant to deal with. My car was extremely difficult to unlock with a dead battery and electrically actuated doors, but the service provider didn't give up and worked to get it open all while being upbeat. I would use them again without hesitation! Thank you so much!!!

I had a great experience with this company. They were very polite, professional, and helpful on the phone. The tow truck arrived exactly when they said it would and the driver was very careful while loading my car onto the flatbed. They gave me a ride down to the dealership (1.5 hours away) and the driver was very personable and fun to talk to during that time (I'm a talker, so I was relieved that the driver was also happy to talk). Ultimately, what made me so happy about this experience is the way their calm and kind attitude helped me forget how upset and stressed I was about the condition of my car. Lastly, considering the services provided, the rate was very reasonable.
