I went there because my oil dipstick was sticking out part way. They broke the tail off the dipstick, but specifically told me it was still sticking out. They broke my stuff and straight up lied to me about it!
I gave them 1 star which in my opinion is 1 to many I dropped my wheels and tires off in the afternoon he said he would have them done by the end of the day he never called so I gave him a call to ask and he said he had them all mounted but didn’t get them to seal or balance so I went to just pick them up and when I got there not one tire was mounted on a rim and they where covered in grease just sitting outside.
Horrible service took them a set of 2200 center line rims that they don’t even make anymore gave dropped the tires and rims off at 11 they called me at 4:30 saying they had them all mounted but couldn’t get them to seal and said it would be another day till they get them done after he told me he said he would have them done that day so I told him I will pick them up if there all moutnted snd I’ll blast them myself when I went to pick them up non of them where on the rims and grease all over them
I highly recommend! Had my tire in stock. No other places did! I drive a flex n dont understand why nobody carried them! They took care of me asap. I will now only do business with Up North Tire.
We were on a 1500 mile road trip cursing around Michigan and had a blow out in Alpena. Up North Truck and Tire got us fixed up and back on the road ASAP. Very friendly crew. Top Notch shop. Thank you so much for your help!

Had a bad alignment when i got my car. Went in to have them realign my car 4 separate times, and then one of them notified me that i had a bent rim. Didn't bother to tell me that the other 3 times, tho. Finally, I bought a new rim and went back. They aligned the front. I asked them about the back, and they said, "The back doesn't need aligned. It's a solid axle." Mind you, their alignment tools need to use both front and rear tires to adjust properly. I just found out today that my back tire has been so badly aligned that its worn the inside of my tire to wires. Bet my front alignment is also off. Hope the new staff actually knows how to work on cars. The old staff were also rather rude at times.
After being told by 2 other shops in town that I couldn’t get a alignment done do to my lift I brought it over to up north truck and tire where they did an amazing good truck rides great and has even wear on the tires. Some of the nicest guys you will ever talk to as well
Stopped in at 1130 on a Friday afternoon with a hole in trailer tire within 30 minutes It was patched and I was on my way... im very thankful and grateful they had time to squeeze me in unscheduled and in a hurry... Thanks again!!! Very friendly and polite
I stopped into this place on my way back from camping up north while going through Alpena because my car was making noise. He got me in right away and scanned it and gave me advice and made me feel comfortable enough to drive it back to oscoda! I definitely recommend this place!
These guys really went above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced from a shop. I ended up having extra issues with my vehicle and they found a solution to keep me safe and still on the road, which wasn’t an easy task. Thank you guys!

I took my truck into this tire shop after getting putting a lift kit on. I had them put tires on and do an alignment. After them doing the alignment I started to hear a clunking . So I put it on the lift turns out my a arm bolts were finger loose. So on February 24th I took the truck back to them to realign it. When they were pulling my truck in. He hit the frame of the garage door with my truck. Breaking my mirror and hitting my rear passenger door. He said that he turned too sharp but, I'm thinking he was driving a little fast into the shop. I was told to be fixed asap. I told them I would need a loaner car I don't have another vehicle. I was promised everything under the sun. So after a week of hearing nothing I called them. Then I got an estimate on how much it would cost to fix my truck a little over $2,000. Then waited another week of hearing nothing so I called them again. Their lack of communication skills is ridiculous. I never ended up getting a rental vehicle. The shop took my truck on Monday and was done Thursdays. They never line anyrhing up. Even after asking multiple times. I shouldn't have had to deal with that. I didn't mess up my truck they did. I just got my truck back last night on March 28th. You can form your own opinion about them but, I wouldn't take a Hot Wheels car there for them to work on. They get one star because they actually fixed it but, the way they went about it was horrible. You can seriously hurt somebody by not tightening bolts. Do better
Customer Service was excellent. Called on a Friday, and they got me in by 10:30am Monday. Went in for a front end alignment and 2 wheel re balance. I was amazed by the results. Very affordable service. My vehicle has never driven down the road so nice. As they pulled my vehicle off the lift, they pointed out to me that my driverside rear caliper was leaking brake fluid, which I would not have noticed until my brakes went out. So I definitely want to thank them for their time and service. Only downside is I never received a spec sheet showing my alignment specs. But I suppose I should've asked for it.
Excellent service. I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Upon calling the shop, I was told to bring it in and they would have a mechanic take a look at it. 1/2 hour later, the tire was fixed (it had a screw in it) and I was back on the road, with no charge!! Very fast and friendly service and I highly recommend them!!
Really great experience with these guys. For the first time I didn’t feel like I had a “woman getting played out of money” experience where vehicle maintenance is involved. In fact, Court.. was very sensitive of my obvious financial situation and I’m SUPER thankful. They had my business when I didn’t have it and they’ll have my business when I do! Fast service too.
Great bunch of guys if you need anything done with your Jeep custom builds you’re ever up in Alpena Michigan. These guys will totally take care of you no matter what you need done with your vehicle.
They are very customer oriented and aim to please. I got a full set of Goodyear's top of the line for a very competitive price. Since then they have rotates tires, inspected brakes and kept me advised.. I see myself going back as soon as my car requires it's next service

Saturday the 19th of November I had a 9:00am appointment to get my snow tires (purchased at UpNorth) swapped for my summer tires. The weather on the west side of the state was horrendous but I made the effort to get up early and make sure I made it on time. I was there at 8:55 as was another gentleman. I waited until 9:15 and decided to head back to Charlevoix. I called on Monday morning to ask if everyone was ok and what happened and the best response I could get was "I was here at 9. I worked 10 hours on my day off. What do you want me to do, I was here. It was really nice chatting with you this morning sir." A blatant lie and sarcasm. If the gentleman had been there at 9:00 as he claimed, I would have my tires mounted and not be writing this review. I understand that things happen and I am the first to praise a business when they do a good job as I have this place in the past. No more. I wasted six hours of a day off, an otherwise unnecessary trip to Alpena in blizzard conditions and now have to wait until December 23rd for snow tires. There are some great people that work at this shop. Unfortunate that they are now being painted with the same 1 star rating as the customer service rep.
Wonderful customer service and mechanical services! Amber, the office manager, was very knowledgeable and helpful from my first call through the completion of our repair. They were able to fix another shops mistakes and got our Jeep back into tip top shape very timely! We will be bringing all our vehicles to these guys from now on. Thank you for all your hard work!
Great service! Needed a tire fixed on a Saturday morning got right in and out no hassles. Discount tire would not fix the tire because they said the tread was too low even though the wear indicators could still easily be seen. Highly recommend this shop.
Best service ever! I was in for new tires in a hurry. Not only did they have tires for me but also found I had bad dangerous ball joints. I had to leave town for work asap. They got the parts ordered and fit me in the next business day!!! They stayed late after closing to get me on the road. Bless the amazing customer service of Amber and Dave!! You guys rock!!!!! Truly my heroes getting me back on the road so fast!! Can't say enough about how great my experience was!!!!
