I purchased a low mileage (approx. 78k miles, I drove about 8k this last year) 2015 Toyota Sequoia from AutoTec last February 2025. To say I am disappointed would be a gross understatement. 1 year later the vehicle cannot pass inspection due to frame failure that had been painted over to conceal. Much of this is my mistake for placing trust in their own inspection sticker as it likely would have failed last year too, but now I own a valueless vehicle. I have included the excerpt from the official inspection report to spread awareness of the level of danger they are willing to conceal and subject you to--a true classic used car sales story:
"Findings: Performed inspection and found significant corrosion present on rear axel/subframe area, including advanced rust deterioration with holes formed in the metal. Additional rust was noted on structural frame components. Due to the severity and location of the corrosion, recommend evaluation by a collision/ body frame specialist to determine if frame is structurally repairable. Structural rust of this level affects vehicle safety and requires specialized repair procedures."
Put simply by the mechanic "promise me you will not let your wife and kids in this."
This place has always been my go to place for Inspection sticker. Always quick and I never had more then 2 people waiting ahead if me.
They also do other work and staff very friendly.
Really screwed up the roof and rear hatchback on one of our cars. Auto Tec make it look brand new - and in less time than they said it would. Pretty impressive given all the supply chain issues of late. Would absolutely recommend them.
Auto Tech performs tremendously. I've never had a problem with work done on any of my vehicles, trucks,cars and motorcycles. Work is done right first time.
I moved into Whitman in 2004. I tried a few places until I found Auto Tec. Now I only go there. They are friendly, fair and honest. You can go in for a sticker and an oil change and they won't try to upsell you into any work you car doesn't need. Paul and Dean will give you the truth about your car. They sold me from the first few visits. My wife had an old car with a minor issue with the heat. A replacement unit was hundreds of dollars. They inspected the functionality and showed her that if she wiggled the control a little, you could get it to work. That gave her the choice to give her a few thousand more miles to decide whether to fix it or trade up for a different car. That have more than earned my trust and loyalty.
Auto Tec has been repairing my vehicles for more than 30 years. The work is always good but the most important thing for me is that I can fully trust everything Paul tells me. That is priceless.
The guys here are great, I only was grabbing an inspection sticker but the staff here are all really friendly, personable, and willing to help with any questions you have.

Fantastic. Very helpful. Very professional. It is kind of an anomaly how great their customer service is, especially in a State that seems to be losing that very important quality. Have taken a car in that needed some maintenance before being traded in. They looked at it no charge. Did maintenance on my new vehicle and my wife's new SUV. Really like this place.
Always a great place and honest people...some places will sell everything to generate a high repair bill...this place will fix what's wrong with your vehicle and if something else needs to be repaired related to the original problem they will tell you upfront and honest..cause they look at the safety side of things unlike other shops..
Picked up my truck last week and Auto Tec did a great job with the repair. Dean was excellent to work with - he communicated often the status of the repair and made sure things were set with my insurance company including ensuring my rental was extended as needed. An additional issue was found when washing and detailing the truck, which they were able to fix that afternoon.
Fast service, great communication keeping me in the loop about what was causing the problems that kept occuring (that another mechanic could not figure out), fair pricing. Highly recommended. It's hard to find a knowledgeable, trustworthy mechanic and they fit the bill.
I can't say enough great things about this place. Everyone is beyond attentive and helpful! My main dealings have been with Paul and Dean, and they always go above and beyond to make sure that my vehicle is taken care of 100%. I have been hit five times since owning my vehicle and they have been my go-to for everything. I recently had an emergency and needed something fixed before leaving for the weekend, and they got me right in and had it fixed that day. I highly recommend using Auto Tec for all of your vehicle needs! ?
