I brought my 67 Camaro to Jim with the minor issue of a seized engine (original 327 SBC). My ask was to just restore it back the way it was - you know… running. My 2015 Kia Cadenza check engine light came on. Brought my vehicle to my local service center. It was diagnosed as coolant intrusion from cylinders heads. Service center refered me to Reids Automotive for the head repairs. The guys over there were extremely professional and very pleasant to work with. They took the time to explain to me in detail what needs to be done to get my car back up and running. Come to find out the quote they gave me was $100 less expensive than anyanybody else(I shopped around after receiving quote from them). I approved the work. They kept me updated and 2 days later is was up and running. I have been driving the vehicle for a month now, it is running like new. Thanks to the whole team at Reids! I strongly recommend Reids! Called to get quote. He assured me I had to leave 125$ deposit upfront before he even looked at small job. Deffinately focused on money instead of all aspects of business. Example trust friendliness building good relationship with new and possible repeat future customers. Trust me I understand how sht works. Just didnt get confidence or any decent feelings from brief phone call for quote or estimate.

Had an engine block hot tanked as well as my head decked by these guys and they were awesome. Pretty quick turn around for how busy they were and fair prices in my opinion.
Had this place clean and resurface my head for my b16a. Great outcome. Good price. Friendly staff. The car rips since i got the head back on. Will deffinatly be comming back soon.
2nd RESPONSE its not a different shop1000%!!! you guys are located right after the Brockton line in a brick building on the left in Whitman I remember like it was yesterday yes this was about 8 years ago since then I’ve built another car I never got the chance to write a review not really how I was thinking but now I’m ready to buy another 3000gt VR4 and I promise you will never get my business even if you were the only machine shop in the country you guys were disappointing to take away the only thing I had as a young man never again my dream of seeing my car drive never happened then but it will happen now thanks for nothing lesson learned btw I hope you guys enjoyed my motor I know you had another one there when I brought mine inside I fell in love thinking my motor would look like that soon enough
I struggled for my 3000gt vr4 rebuild I spent every dollar that I got rebuilding the entire car spent about 7,000 and you scums kept my twin turbo motor and refused to give it back saying there was a storage fee and you cleaned it so I had to pay an additional 400 with adding by day a $50 fee when you informed me that you would Call when you would get a chance to get started on it THIEVES!!! Jim and his team did a wonderful job rebuilding my blower motor for my street car. I looked around at several shops prior to making a decision . Once I met Jim and his team and looked around their shop I knew I was in the right place. Jim spent the time i needed with me and guided me through the process always taking the time to answer my questions and keep me updated and making me feel at home when I would show up unexpectedly to check on the progress. He kept the costs in line with the estimate he gave me.The most exciting part was hearing the engine come to life on the Dyno . I highly recommend Reid's Automotive and his team.
I had these guys tank and resurface my Mini Cooper S cylinder head; they were knowledgeable, have a well-equipped shop, work quickly and are friendly to boot. I would definitely go back again!
