Bought a car here 1 year ago and when I took it to get my inspection this year got told the car was junk and the whole frame was rusted with holes. They couldn't believe I had only driven it 4-5k miles in a year if that and that was the condition of the car, so they said it must have been sold to me with a lot of that damage. When I bought the car here they told me to not go to specific place to get it inspected originally and I wonder if they only told me that cause they knew the mechanic would have told me to return the car.
These guys offer great used cars at a fair price.I can definitely recommend them to my Family and friends.I grabbed a nice pre-owned Toyota Camry,and my "New"car could not have been any cleaner.These guys really do some great detail work, along with a stellar repair shop...who could ask for more? Highest Recommendation from someone in the car business/orbit -since 1976.
We bought a truck that didn't come with any warranty. When we had an unforseen issue come up 3 weeks later, John helped us resolve it even though he was under no obligation to do so. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a vehicle here again.
This guy is in the auto service business. He cherry picks good used cars cuz he doesnt want any headaches. The most transparent used car experience I've had in my life. When the flawless 2008 Highlander I bought from him wears out, I'll be back!
Looked at a vehicle after hours last night and told him we’d be back this morning with the $500 cash deposit. Called at 9am and he said the car was already sold
Owner just called pissed about this real review and called me “outrageous” for being upset that he sold the car knowing we’d be back with deposit this morning. Zero integrity.
Owner is now threatening to take me to court over this honest and truthful review.
I live multiple hours away and was interested in purchasing a 2016 Toyota Tundra. Before making the trip, I specifically asked John about the condition of the frame, since rust is a well-known issue with these trucks. He assured me multiple times that there was no rust on the frame. Based on his word, I drove over two hours to see the truck. Before even getting in for a test drive, I crawled underneath it—only to find rust all over the frame, including spots where I could push my finger through weakened metal.
So, either John has never actually looked under the vehicles he sells, or he thinks lying to potential buyers is good business. Either way, I wouldn’t trust him to describe a car accurately. If he had just been honest from the start, I wouldn’t have wasted four hours of my day.
To make matters worse, after I left an honest review about my experience, John called me and left a long-winded, angry voicemail trying to justify his dishonesty. Apparently, he believes that because we live in New England, I should just accept rusted-out frames as “minor surface rust”—even when I can poke my finger through them. Newsflash, John: When metal is flaking off in chunks, it’s not just surface rust.
I’ve owned four Toyota trucks and was specifically looking to replace my current one because of rust issues. I know exactly what I’m looking at, and I don’t need a lecture from a dishonest salesman trying to cover his tracks. If John had simply told me, “There’s some surface rust, but nothing structural,” I would have made an informed decision. Instead, he outright lied, wasted my time, and then threw a tantrum when I called him out on it.
And for the record, John, if calling out blatant dishonesty makes me ‘brainless,’ I’ll gladly wear that badge—right after I find a truck from a dealer who actually tells the truth.
I had to buy a cheap car this winter and was looking at older Toyota Highlanders. I must have found the cleanest one in the state at Pro Auto, with a thorough carfax visible right on the ad. I test drove it and knew right away it had been well taken care of. John made it an effortless transaction (paying cash in full helps), filled out the RTA to my insurance there on the spot, two days later I was on a train to go get it. John picked me up, slapped the plates on and I'm good to go. Honestly the easiest car buying experience I've had, and I ended up with a GREAT car for a GREAT price. Based on how easy they were to work with, and quality and cleanliness of the vehicle (seriously, this thing is spotless) I wouldn't hesitate to keep them in mind for next time. Highly recommended.
Jon and his crew provided zero shenanigans. Everything was up front and transparent. 2007 Avalon was an easy no-pressure purchase with no buyer's remorse.
A few weeks ago, I brought in my 2017 Subaru Outback (bought new in 2017) to Pro Auto to be detailed. Over the years I've had many cars detailed about once or twice a year. I have never had a better detailing job done; ever! They were PERFECT and my car looks and feels like it is brand new! Inside, outside; totally clean and shiny; down to the tiniest detail like the console and tiny cupboard. Honestly, I am so happy each time I climb in it. Amazing. These people are the best, as far as I am concerned.
I live in Michigan and bought a 2008 Lincoln Navigator from Jon over at pro auto Kingston. It was honestly one of the easiest transaction I ever did and I been buying cars out of state and sight unseen for over 20 years. The navigator is in beautiful shape just like Jon said and he made this sale so easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another car from them in future.
This was a great place to to do business. There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever—if you liked the car, fine. If you didn’t, that was cool too. We bought a 2008 Accord for an excellent price and John, the owner, was super helpful throughout the process. We would definitely buy from Pro Auto again. Highly recommend.
EDIT: We have had the car for 6 days, and tonight the battery is dead, dead, dead. I have not contacted Pro Auto Sales about it. I’ll call AAA in the morning to get a new battery.
AAA replaced the battery this morning. I did call John at Pro Auto Sales, and he agreed to reimburse the cost of the battery. I didn’t ask for it, but he offered anyway. Wish I could give this business more than 5 stars!
Great experience at Pro Auto Sales & Service. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great deal on a used car. They were straightforward, and easy to work with, exerting no pressure while providing an outstanding deal, we’re my car was purchased well below blue book. Also, after purchasing my vehicle, The shop worked on a few things, including the install of new tires, and I was very impressed with the quality of work they did, along with there professional, and easy to work with demeanor. In the future, when my car needs work, I will be bringing it to this shop!
This dealership was recommended by a family member. The Pro Auto staff was professional knowledgeable no pressure down to earth guys who just love cars. My wife and I ended up buying 2. We were extremely pleased with the entire experience. I highly recommend Pro Auto.
The owner was incredibly rude to me & his employees, while me and another lady were there he was yelling at the employees for wanting a 15 min lunch break.
Let’s add no ones lying the owners trying to act like they do no wrong lol why would I lie? For what reason? would I make that up you could’ve asked the other lady and other employees there about this
I came in late with a dirty, dirty SUV. Not only were they kind and understanding, they were able to fit me in, and when I picked my car up it was like new! So clean and shiny inside and out! Very impressed!

I brought my car here today to be detailed after I saw a sign out front for a special price on detailing and WOW was I surprised! Great people and a FANTASTIC job! My car looks brand new! Will definitely be returning!
