I knew I needed exhaust work and then almost the whole exhaust fell off! Leonard's towed me, gave me a free estimate, and then did the work for a little more than HALF the estimate I got a week before! Now my car is quiet and safe and I was very happy with the service as well as the cost!

I used their services through AAA and was picked up on 495 after my car broke down. Erik R. was very helpful, knew the area, and drove safely. Would definitely recommend him as a driver!

Unbelievably Incompetent – A Nightmare with Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance, Inc. My recent encounter with Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance was nothing short of an ordeal that highlighted their astounding lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Every step of the way, they managed to make a bad situation even worse. To begin with, I had to endure a torturous two-hour wait for Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance to arrive. This excessive delay was utterly unacceptable, leaving me stranded and frustrated at my location. When their tow truck finally pulled up, I expected some form of identification or acknowledgment of their presence. However, they failed to provide any such reassurance, leaving me to wonder if they were the assistance I had called for. But the worst was yet to come. Instead of attempting to tow my car, the driver callously declared that my vehicle was "GOA," which stands for "gone on arrival." This blatant falsehood was a slap in the face, as my car was clearly there and in need of help. Left with no choice, I had to call my insurance company again to secure a proper tow. The fact that Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance forced me to resort to an alternative solution only added to the inconvenience and distress I was already experiencing. When I finally mustered the courage to call Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance for an explanation on their shocking behavior, I was met with a barrage of excuses and a runaround that only further exacerbated my frustration. Their lack of accountability and refusal to provide a straightforward answer were the final nails in the coffin of their abysmal service. My experience with Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance has left me appalled and deeply disappointed. Their prolonged wait times, failure to identify themselves, refusal to assist, and dishonesty about my vehicle's status are qualities no customer should ever have to tolerate. I implore anyone reading this review to steer clear of Leonard’s Auto Repair & Performance and choose a towing service that values honesty, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

My car died on 495. Within a half hour, Leonard's picked my car up and towed it to their garage. Two hours later they told me what was wrong and had an estimate for repairs. Fuel pump replacement. The next day, it was good to go. The way they prioritized my service was unmatched, as I was far from home and in a bit of a crisis. Everywhere else I called in the area wouldn't be able to even take a look at my car until the next week. It was 4th of July weekend and I was headed to the cape. I've never had service that good before. Everything about it surpassed my expectations tenfold.

Stop in and see Edd for all your auto repair needs. Bought an old truck in mass to drive to Nc made it 20 miles started having motor problems. Pulled into Leonard’s explained my situation. He dropped everything and got me in and out of there in under an hour. He knows his stuff and very fair priced. The conversation and entertainment alone is worth the price of admission.

Wow, Leonard's really came through for me, amazing owner and wonderful work they did! My transmission broke down while I was on a road trip, and Leonard's came to my rescue. They were speedy, did incredible work, and did everything they could to get me back on the road and on my road trip ASAP. I couldn't recommend them more. Wonderful local shop, bravo and thank you.

I have been using Leonard’s for over two years now, and will continue to do so. I am of the opinion that honesty is just as important as competence when it comes to cars. The folks at Leonard’s are refreshingly honest. Additionally, they are very competent, accommodating, fast, responsive and all around good people. I have never had a bad experience there, and am very grateful to have a trustworthy place locally to take care of my vehicles. I highly recommend them.

Great experience and a fair price. Our workers were broken down in Taunton the week before Christmas facing a major repair. They provided immediate tow service and were able to get us back on the road the next day. Highly recommended

Do NOT use for towing/emergency service. If they accept the ticket from your auto club, request another provider. I placed an emergency ticket with my roadside service at 2:11 pm today. Leonard's accepted the ticket and gave an ETA of 3:40 pm. The weather was sunny and calm. At 4:36 pm, I called and asked about the ETA. A woman told me, "He's dropping a car off at Hannaford's and you're next in line." I thanked her. They acknowledged I was on the list. At 6:01 pm, now at well over 2 hours past the ETA, I called the number again. I got a guy saying he didn't know about it but he'd jump right on it. at 6:25, I tried the number again. Went to voicemail--mailbox full. At 6:28, tried again with the same result. At 6:29 p.m., I called my auto club. Their rep spoke to the man. He said he would be at my location in 25 minutes. At 8:13 pm, 4.5 hours after the original ETA, and over 1.5 hours after the guy told the club rep he'd be there in "25 minutes," I gave up and demanded my auto club give me another provider. They lied to me, they lied to my auto club, and then they stopped taking my calls. For the record, I'm polite. I never swear, but I did state the time I had been waiting and that I wasn't appreciative of the lack of service.

While this was the only company willing to accept my request for a tow during a snow/ice storm, after confirming the location I needed my vehicle dropped off at, they delivered to the wrong location. I had requested to drop it off at my dealership and they brought it to a another dealership location 30+ minutes away from the correct one. They delivered after hours on a Friday and left my key on the seat as opposed to placing it in the dealership key drop off box. The service centers reopened Monday, and had no idea the vehicle was in the lot. The woman’s singular apology didn’t feel meaningful and due to this mistake my vehicle repairs cannot be started until she’s able to find a driver to tow it to where it should have been towed originally, days prior.

Im only 20yrs old and it’s my first car, I just moved to Taunton and was looking for a good mechanic this one was the first I went to and will be the only one I go to. They did a great job on the car, also very efficient, and polite. If you need something fixed they do mostly everything!!!

Nicole and Steve are breaking the mold for stereotypes of mechanics. The duo was great for helping me with my valve covers and gaskets as well as a water pump. Granted it didn’t meet the original time frame, but with the quality work I got it was worth it. I’m not a fan of putting my car in the shop when I could do it but I couldn’t! these guys were friggin A+. Will be back for future business

Ed came out on a Saturday evening and helped me and my co-worker broken down on the side of the road. Not only were we on the side of 495, but it was our horse trailer- towing 4 horses that had blown a tire. Ed came to the rescue and didn’t quit until the job was done. Can’t say enough about our experience with Leonard’s!

Ed is a solid guy who will help you prioritize the work you need on your car so you’re not spending money you don’t need to. His shop has replaced my gasline, done some front end work, and replaced part of my exhaust. Finding a shop that’s honest and won’t rip you off can be hard to come by, especially for a woman. I would 100% recommend Leonard’s Auto to anyone who’s looking for reliable mechanic.

I recently needed a tow after getting a flat tire on the highway; AAA contacted Leonard's for the job. The driver, Drew, responded very quickly and was careful to make sure there was no further damage to my car. I was very pleased with the service.

Had a puncture on 495 and had to get off the highway fast. They were busy but took care of plugging my tire in the parking lot. Very nice people all around and would recommend to anyone.

This really cold winter has taken its toll on my 06 Ford Escape so i brought it in and seen Ed and crew at Leonard's. .they were able to fit me in their busy schedule and correctly repair my vehicle that needed an alternator replacement, belt, a/c compressor and tension pully, not only was it repaired perfectly it was repaired quickly. Im very pleased and I recommend them to all my friend's and family.

I took my car to leonards they fixed my exhaust when i got it back the exhaust fell off. The fuel pump he replaced no good. Had to replace again. He did 1 of all the things he zaid and if hes so reputable why wouldnt he give me a receipt for the work he did? Only because he did not do the work but he got paid. Place is a rip off. BEWARE

My faimily would not take there vehicles ANYWHERE else accept LEONARD'S. Polite, professional, knowledgeable & HONEST ! We have always found there rates competitive if not better & I have a hard time putting any stock into negative reviews, posted by anyone, saying anything. My suspicion is that it's most likely less repeatable facilities in the area. This is a legitamite first class facility, owned & operated as such. Yes, I'm sure I could price shop and find a lesser price & I'm sure my first phone call from the side of the road would be to Leonard's to have it towed & fixed + have it fixed properly the first time. I Was fortunate enough to have my father accomadated to drop off his vehicle, he was given a ride to his house & got a great Christmas gift for what I feel was an extremely reasonable price + Dad's happy = priceless, ESPECIALLY the last week of the year !

Sleezy company. Dropped car off for squeaking brakes and every time I called they tried to sell something else such as battery service or oil change which I had just gotten but told me I was wrong. Told me parts would be 60-90. Ended up being 132 each. Car still doesn't feel right. Would never go to them again.

Went to get my window fixed. they lied and tried telling me that my window motor and regulator were broken which i know for a fact is not true because i replaced them 3 months prior. they wanted to charge me $350 dollars to fix it. I said no and took my car home and fixed my window in about 20 minutes, it simply fell off the tracks and nothing was broken (like i said to them on the phone in the first place). At the end they still charged me $50 dollars for looking at my car. Dont go here.

Bad experience,Horrible customer service. I was charged a ridiculous amount to have my car diagnosis and have a filter cleaned? which i didn't and still don't understand why it wasn't replaced?! To end up having the problem return. To have it fixed properly by a well mannered reasonable mechanic. Kevin auto service in taunton ma was wonderful i would recommend him. he's great, reasonable, and doesn't pull weird stuff like charging over a hundred dollars to clean a filter and diagnosis a car and than give you no receipt and no paperwork for the full diagnosis and claim his printer was out of ink. Never ever would i go here again even if my car broke down in front of it on a rainy day. would not recommend Leo's auto. Try Kevin's auto service.

This was a really good company. I had to get my windshield wipers repaired and they did it in a professional and timely manner they even provided me with a ride while they worked on my car. I definetly would recommend this company especially since I don't bother taking time out for reviews.

I found Leonard's Auto Repair a couple years ago when my sister needed brake lines of her 12 year old Toyota. They completed a complicated job for a reasonable price by making custom shaped brake lines on the spot. Last year they installed a trailer hitch and electrical harness connections on my Lincoln. Recently they replaced the brake pads and rotors on my rear brakes. All work was done right and on budget and on schedule. I highly recommend Leonard's. These are real people who really get it done.

I needed a tow so they towed me and offered to look at my truck for free. Ed came out himself and diagnosed my truck within minutes. Other place I went to just hooked me up to a computer and wanted over $1000 to fix a vacuum leak, when Ed replaced a hose for $25 and it's been running perfectly for months. I send my whole family here now and everyone loves him. Great place with great people. Thanks!

I have been bringing my vehicles to Leonard's for years. It is always a pleasurable experience and excellent work is done. If I am not able to drop off / pickup my car, they pick me up and if it will not run they have towed to the shop for free in certain repairs.
