First time customer. Consistent with reviews we read, we were very pleased with the service provided. Great communication and the work was done on time.
Guy agreed to sell me a motor & sold it out from under me without telling me. I went to the bank, got the money, took off work and when I contacted him Friday about coming Saturday, he said it was sold. Very unprofessional & untrustworthy. Dont believe this guy, his word means nothing. This is one more example that shows, you cant trust anybody. They lie.
Island Imports Automotive and Steve Rigoli, Owner did a great job on my 2008 BMW X5 xDrive 3.0i. Replaced my front break pads on this most recent job. My car stops on a dime. :-) Highly recommend this repair center.
Island Imports did an awesome job! I spoke with Chris about getting an oil change and possibly new brakes for my Mercedes E350. After taking care of the oil change, Chris actually called me to say my brake pads still had plenty of life left—no need to replace them yet! I really appreciate their honesty and how they looked out for me instead of just making a sale. I’m definitely a customer for life now. Thanks so much, Chris and the whole Island Imports team!
I have 2 vintage BMWs. All maintenance on both is done by Island Imports. Routine service e.g. oil and filter changes and component replacements e.g. alternator, starter motor, and next week a thermostat and hose connection. They are competent and fair in their pricing. They need a TV and a coffee machine for their waiting room.
These guys, Chris and Steve are the best. They were great to work with, very knowledgeable and explained everything they were doing. I felt well taken care of and could trust them. Thank you Island Imports!
Chris took the time to explain the problem and offered options. He is very capable mechanically and great with customers. I have recommended Island Imports to several friends and neighbors.
Island Imports Auto is the BEST! They got my car fixed quickly and handled all of my general maintenance at the same time, which saved me so much hassle. I also want to add that I have an old car, a 1997 Mercedes C230 and I cannot afford a new car. Island Imports keeps my old car in great shape, which is important to me as I know little about automotive science...But, Steve knows a lot about my car. I never worry when I take my car to him. Steve has never let me down.
It was my first experience with Steve and Island Imports, and they were awesome. He was in touch to let me know what they found with my problem child (1990 BMW 325i) and laid out what was needed but with no pressure attached and discussed how best to go around organising the works for the future. My car just needed an annual check, of digital adjustments, oil change etc. I waited in there very pleasant waiting room. It was like a nice doctors office. The time went fast and I was in and out. Great experience!!!
We dealt with Steve when he worked in another shop and were always happy with the service we received. We were ecstatic when he opened his own place 20 or so years ago, and rarely take our cars elsewhere for service. If you are looking for a friendly repair shop that offers prompt and reasonably priced service, your search is overover!
Recommended by a friend so we took the car over to see what needed to be done. Extent of recommended service far less than dealership had suggested and savings will be significant. We found Steve to be pleasant, funny, informative, and fair. Island Imports is now our "go to" repair shop!
